Tavaratra mouse lemurs (Microcebus tavaratra), also called northern rufous mouse lemurs, are endemic to northern Madagascar. They inhabit a variety of dry and semi-humid forests, including human-altered habitats, and have also been found in deep canyons, limestone pinnacles, and cliffs. Primarily threatened by habitat loss; Madagascar lost 37% of its forest cover from 1973 to 2014. Listed as Endangered.
