Another thing I did when I first started at a bakery was pipe borders over and over again. I just stretched out a large piece of parchment and piped over and over. Pipe, scrape, pipe, scrape until I got a feel for it.   These tips are all great tips to use for cake borders. Even some fancy little twirls!
