This is one of my favorite exercises to activate the deep core muscles.💖 It helps to strengthen your transverse abdominal muscles as well as your pelvic floor and external obliques, plus it helps reduce back pain. ✨Ensure your lower back stays pressed into the mat at all times, bend your legs to 90 degrees, hips parallel to the ground. ✨Exhale as you lower one leg to the ground - inhale on the way up. Switch legs to complete one rep. ✨Don't rush through the movement, and keep your core engaged. xx

With a few small changes to your technique, you'll soon feel how amazing this exercise is for developing a strong & stable core👌  1️⃣ If your lower back is overly arched and ribcage flared, you won't be able to fully engage your core.  After all, gaining strength in any muscle is all about squeezing it as hard as possible 💪  Using a mini-band (or even a pen) will give you extra feedback to ensure that your lower back isn't arching as you perform the exercise.  Tuck your tailbone and maintain the shortest distance possible between your ribcage and hips throughout your set.  2️⃣ If your knees are over your chest (even though your lower back is pressed into the floor), you won't have to engage your core to perform the
