Okay, not really a science fair project, but I couldn't not pin this.

DIY.. this doesn't go to a link with a tutorial but it looks simple to make .Great recycle project to make with the kids. (empty soda bottle , old disk, some adhesive and paint.) I see a lot of uses for this ...candy dish, pen holder , remote control holder for Father's Day paint kids hand prints on the side etc..

5th grade science project. Cell membrane. Animal membrane. Edible model. Brownie base with chocolate frosting. Elements include: Canned decorator red icing, sour worm candy, frosted wheat cereal, sprinkles, chocolate candies, vanilla wafer cookie. This was our 2nd attempt. Candy melted into our first, a pumpkin pie.

Plant cell cake - science project

Cell project for 5th grade. Have the kids create an animal or plant cell. Tell the specific parts of the cell you want in the model and to include a key. Tell them to be creative! Some of my students used materials like food, wood, and one even made a pillow cell. I got this from one of my field period teachers. It a fun and creative way for the students to learn about the cells!

We have been searching for a science curriculum for awhile now and I thought we were going to go with REAL Science Odyssey (RSO). We even tried out a couple of their sample activities and really enjoyed them. The program just didn't seem to stand out enough to justify the price of the pdf so I decided to go with Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding (BFSU) which I had heard so many good things about. It is a lot more work but I think the way the lessons are planned out are genius...
