I painted this piece last year around this time to use as part of my graduation project: My project was about ephemerality and the seasons, and exploring the small moments often unnoticed or only experienced for a short amount of time; here the piercing sunshine that often appears after a heavy storm, showering this flower field in golden light 💜✨ I actually painted it as part of my late-summer sequence, but my teacher kept relating it to spring blooms 🌼 Which season would you place this in?...

One of my long time friends has this name so I spent a little more time on it than my usual which made me enjoy the process so much more!
