Ingredients:
2 slices of your favorite bread (sourdough, brioche, whole wheat all work well)
1/4 cup ricotta cheese or mascarpone cheese (optional)
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (high-quality balsamic glaze is ideal)
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
Sea salt flakes and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Toast your bread slices to your desired level of crispness.
While the toast is hot, spread a layer of ricotta or mascarpone cheese on each slice (optional).
Arrange the sliced strawberries on top of the cheese or directly on the toast.
Drizzle the balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze over the strawberries.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves, a sprinkle of sea salt flakes, and freshly ground black pepper (optional).
Serve immediately
