All of our Tufted rugs and runners are made in our Devonshire workshop where they are backed using a combination of natural and recycled materials.

In a return to line and structure, this collection studies the construction of textiles through repeated motifs and intersecting stripes. Working within the tufted medium, but under the constraints of a woven structure, we analyse the linear, geometric patterns that are indicative of cloth production.

Familiar contrasting striped blocks, irregularly arranged and separated by a striking coloured pinstripe.

A pleasing arrangement of evenly spaced bands of tonal colour, creating the effect of overlapping or woven stripes akin to a plaid or tartan cloth.

$A ‘plain’, solid colour rug which on closer examination reveals a subtle striped surface texture. The shear of the pile is fractionally higher than the loop revealing highlights and dark tones, creating movement within the design.$

Bloomsbury Stripe Magenta takes inspiration from the Roger Oates Design archives, with reworked versions of signature colour combinations lending familiarity to bold statement stripes. Tufted cut and loop lines run horizontally across the body creating variation and texture on the surface.
