Zwammobiel becomes Agoramobiel

The Agoramobiel has been adapted to suit agora education, allowing students to present their ‘challenges’ to each other and the neighbourhood. The Agoramobiel will also be used as a mobile coffee stand. A number of shopping trolleys have been adapted to form the outdoor furniture for around the Agoramobiel.

During the refurbishment, a few things were changed, the roof was replaced with polycarbonate sheets so that more daylight can come in, and the interior panelling was replaced with OSB combined with formwork plywood, which gives it a warmer look. A french cleat system was also mounted on the walls so that students can hang their work on it.

In the future, the Agoramobiel will be located in the new city district of Merwede, to which the school will move. At the Agoramobiel, children, their parents and new neighbours will get to know each other.
