another last weekend, the 3rd weekend of the new year (not counting 1st and 2nd of Jan'16).
wanted to fully recount my good 2015, but of cos was too lazy 😁.
today AL and I went for prata brunch at Jurong East. the service is ridiculously slow! 40mins for our crispy prata to arrive. but what to do, it's really one of the nicer prata shops in the west, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside 😌.
not cheap though (hawker food standards). $1.50 for plain, $1.70 for egg. at least their egg is just 加两毛钱.
paired this with teh halia, and voila, a shiok brunch!!
when I was a lot younger, my parents would bring my siblings and I for prata breakkie. 童年的味道, I remembered the prata being crispy as well! not sure if the shop has shifted or folded now.
but anyway, my point is last time (20 years ago) a kosong costs only $0.50. it then became $0.90, with a egg one costing like $1.10. and now a kosong is $1.50!!!! plain flour, ghee and some water only!!!
