Snow Trip

We had so much fun today on our snow trip. I couldn't believe how brave the kids were and that they kept wanting to start higher and higher up the mountin. Harry loved throwing snow balls at everyone. Paige built her very own small snowman, Mitchell was crazy and all over the place doing flips and rolls. Even Grant did great in the snow. It was a fun trip!

Harry is a hoot!

Harrison has been saying the funniest things latley. The other day when I was giving Grant a bath he walked in and saw the floor was wet. He said, "carefull MOM. If you slip you will die!" He is a little morbid....lol

Then tonight at dinner Grant was laughing and making funny noises at dinner time. Harry does a big sigh, shakes his head and then said, "Grant, You are a nerd!"

He cracks us up.

Bath Time!

Grant is such a happy baby. Unless he is hungry or tired he is all smilies. Harry and Grant both love to take baths. Here are some fun photos of them together in the bath! Grant has also learned to clap this week!

Okay, 7 random things about myself.....

~ I love Audrey Hepburn, I always have. My favorite movie in the whole world is Roman Holiday. I think she is beautiful and graceful and a real lady..

~ I really want to travel and see the world. I look forward to being able to do that when my kids are older. I want to go to Tokyo, Italy, France, Peru...anywhere!

~ I watch and read a lot of news. It makes me feel connected to the outside world even though I stay at home with my 4 kids.

~ I am a really good secret keeper. If someone tells me to keep something private I do. It's one thing that I know I am good at. I haven't always been good, but the last few years it has become something that has become important to me.

~ I love being Young Women's President. I really thought I wouldn't like it or that I would be horrible at it. But the longer I am in the calling and the more I get to know my girls the more I love it.

~ Everyone knows this....But I can't spell for the life of me. Even simple words trip me up. I almost always spell check everything I do. I don't write on the chalk board at church because I will embarrass myself if I try.

~ I like to argue and debate stupid, trivial things. I love my family for being willing to put up with it around the dinner table. Most often I don't even believe in the point of view I am debating...but someone has to be on the other side of the debate or it is no fun.

Old Photos

I found this photo on Traci's camera and loved it so I wanted to share.

Photos of Grant.

Tony shot these!

Dead Duck

Harry's new favorite thing to do is to play Dead Duck. This means wrestling or throwing pillows at Dad. The other day Matt was playing this Harry ans said, "You're a dead duck!" so now every time Harry wants to play with Matt he says he wants to play Dead Duck.

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas!

We busted out our Christmas decorations this weekend and put up our tree (We had a busy weekend). I have worked with Harrison to really help him understand what Christmas is because he didn't understand anything at first. I am regretting this now because he is asking me a million times a day now when Santa is going to bring him his Mac. (He was toys from the movie Cars)
He really loves all the Christmas lights and gets excited when he sees Santa anywhere.
I had to put our old smaller tree up this year so that I could put it up on a box. Grant is pulling up on everything and he is trying to pull off all the ornaments. Harrison has also discovered that if you throw down a glass ball it will shatter. He broke three yesterday. He pretends it is on accident and says "ooopps" or "Sorry" right after. But I know he thinks it is fun and is doing it on purpose.

Mitch and Harry's room

This last week Mitchell gave his bed to Harrison. (It was about time we moved him out of his crib....lol). Matt made a new bed for Mitchell to go over the other bed. I painted their room a blue/grey. They are getting new comforters for their beds for Christmas. We are also going to get some more Transformer posters and frame them and put those up too. I was sad to paint over the Thomas the Train but Mitchell said he was ready for something new.

Thanksgiving 2007

We had a blast with Travis's family being here. This is the kids in the car on the way out to go on the quads. And then another one of them on the quad. They loved having Tommy here.

Grant and Papa

Grant is such a happy baby. He just likes to chil with whom ever is holding him. We sure love him!

Paige's Dance Recital

Paige had a dance recital on Friday. She did great!! It was a hip-hop number.

Harry's hat

Harry got this hat from Papa. He loves it and we are on day 4 of him wearing it non-stop. I had to hide it this morning so that he wouldn't want to wear it to church.

Standing up

I went in to get Grant up today from his nap. When I walked into the room he was standing up in his crib. He was so excited to be standing! He is one determined boy. He has a few bruises on his head from trying to pull up on everything he can get to.
Paige bore her testimony today in fast and testimony meeting. She always does such a good job when she does that. Mom and Paige are going to be singing a duet in sacrament meeting in December in both their ward and ours. Paige is very excited. She did a great job at the primary program and is still getting compliments about it.

Grant's 6 month check up

I took Grant today for his check up and shots. Poor Mitchell was hiding UNDER the chairs in the room because he was so scared for Grant.

Here are his stats:
Weight: 17 pounds 8 ounces. -- 50 percentile
Length: 28 inches-- 95 percentile
Head: 18 inches -- 95 percentile. Looks like Mitchell will have company in the big head group.

I am sad that I am retiring the pumpkin costume. All four of my kids have worn it for their first Halloween. Grant loved the costume. Everytime the face laughed on his cosume he would smile and look proud.
Poor Harry wanted nothing to do with Halloween this year. He refused to help carve his pumpkin, refused to put on a costume no matt how hard I tried, and didn't even want to get candy at the trunk or treat. Oh well, maybe next year.

Pumpkins for FHE

We carved our pumpkins on Monday for FHE. This is Mitchell with his Darth Vader pumpkin. And this is Paige with her Harry Potter pumpkin. This is the firs year that Paige did everything from start to finish by herself. We had a lot of fun. Harrison fell asleep about half way through the process so there are no photos of him.

Halloween

We went to a friend's house tonight for a Halloween party. All the kids all dressed up. Here are a few photos. Harrison would NOT put on his costume. Paige was so excited to put on make
-up. And poor Mitchell's head is to big for the helmet. LOL

The attack of Grant

So Grant's new thing is to grab your face at attack you. He gets so excited and he tries to bite or suck on your face, hair, what ever he can get. I had Matt take a few photos cause it is so funny. You have to be careful though because Grant got his two bottom teeth and they HURT!

Pumpkin Patch

Harrison's little play group went to the pumpkin patch today. They got to feed the fish, pet the animals, plant strawberries, and pick out a new pumpkin. He had a lot of fun.

Playing together

Now that Harrison is getting older he has a lot of fun playing with Mitchell. Here are the three boys playing. Well Grant is just watching everything...lol) They had fun all night "fighting".

Paige's hair cut

Paige decided she wanted a hair cut a couple of nights ago. She wanted it short.
She is going to be Cleopatra for Halloween so I suggested we cut it like her hair. She got very excited about this so I cut it in a very blunt style for now. It turned out cute.

Paige and Harry Potter

Paige has worked very hard for the last 2 months reading the first Harry Potter book. She finished tonight! I am so proud of her. She has been very dedicated about reading it and has done a great job. Way to go PAIGE!!!

Grant is changing so fast!

Well yesterday was a big day for Grant. He got his first tooth finally poking through. After months of crazy drooling he finally got his first tooth!
Also, out of the blue yesterday he switched from cooing (talking using only vowel sounds), screaming and screeching to all of a sudden starting to babble. He loves to say nanana, lalalala and Matt's favorite dadadadada. It's almost as if he knows he is doing something great because he smiles like crazy now when he tries to talk. Between these things and sitting up he no longer looks like a little baby! He is growing up so fast and it is so fun to watch.

Matt's Job

Matt is applying for a job promotion in his company today. Pray for him that he gets it. It will mean that he will work out of the Modesto office which would be so much better for our family! Also I wanted to thank you Travis for helping Matt with his resume. I know he really appreciates it.

UPDATE: Matt found out today that there are 3 other guys from JM who have submitted their resumes for the job today. So it looks like he has major competition. EEEeekkk

Grant is sitting.

Grant has been sitting up on his own a little more each day. He still falls over from time to time but is getting there!

San Francisco

Matt had a missionary companion come to SF for a business conference. So we all went there to visit him and spend the afternoon in San Fransisco. We had a lot of fun. Paige loved eating the fresh crab and shrimp and Mitchell and Paige both loved seeing the sea lions. Harry loved getting a sword balloon and Matt had fun visiting Al.

Whoops there goes another tooth.

Mitchell and Paige were play fighting today and Paige hit Mitchell in the mouth hard....on accident. Mitch started screaming that Paige had knocked out a tooth and then there was a lot of blood so Paige started crying. Everyone was very upset until I reminded Mitchell that his tooth was already loose and would have come out in the next few days anyways. They both remembered this was true and started to laugh and get excited about getting a dollar tonight from the tooth fairy. Mitchell has been loosing teeth so fast that he looks like a jack-o-lantern.

His other top tooth one is about to come out any second and then he will have even more gaps!

What is that!

So...I had noticed for awhile that Mitchell had a HUGE ball of wax in his ear. (I check inside his ears often because of previous ear problems). Well after a few days I started to realize that this wax was too perfectly round and got a flashlight. It was then that I realized that it was not wax but a round ball from his air soft gun.

Being that I am so cheap and the fact the we have already been down the road of having children shove stuff in their ears (thanks Paige!) I tried to get it out myself. So I took a nose sucker and some warm water and flushed his ear until it came very close to coming out. Matt then came home and saw what I was doing and he decided to help me get it the rest of the way out.

So, if your kids ever get something shoved up inside their ear give me a call. I think I am starting to become an expert. And why is it that kids always deny sticking stuff in their ears or nose?? Do they really think we will believe them when they swear they have no idea when things end up inside their bodies??

My three boys....again.

I just have so much fun finding photos that look alike of all three boys when they are at the same age. So here they are. They are all 5-6 months.

New Photos

Just a few new photos of the kids.

This is Grant hanging out in the exersaucer. Notice the always present drool lines on his clothes.

Here is Harry playing on the trampoline. Just a typical afternoon for us.

Brothers having fun together.
