Our Venturing Crew had the running joke that today (March Fourth) was the only day of the year to go forward. It seems fitting to me this year. We found out yesterday that we were not selected to be Amara (Marie)'s family. It hurts. I can't help but ask Why we were not chosen. I think we were the first ones on the list. We have been praying for her for over a year. We got to hear about major milestones she was hitting. Yet I am focusing on the fact that God knows what He is doing. Amara will be with her family now.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11.
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11.
Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged,
for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

We have decided to keep our names on "the list." So now we start the waiting again. God has his perfect timing. We found this out with Naomi. God has a good way of teaching us patients on a continuous basis. We are just waiting.

Kelly, Adam, & Naomi -- I'm really sorry to hear that you guys are not getting Amara; however, you are right in that it's all in God's plans. Perhaps there's another child out there, waiting for you guys -- to be in your family. Like you guys with Naomi, we too have learned that God's timing is perfect -- we have learned that with Luke.
Oh Kelly!!! I am so sorry to hear that things did not work out as you desired so badly! I truly do love that song. Whatever the reason, we know that the Lord only holds back blessings when it is for a greater good and a bigger blessing still to come. Hang in there! P.S. Thanks for reminding me about March forth. Good memories.
