Today we're showing the PEACE & COMFORT stamp set. It's a set of beautiful double stamp flowers and leaves with some beautiful script sentiments. You can see the graphic below.

CAS-Fridays New Release - WTF2

The wait is over! There's a new CAS-ual Fridays release of four brand new stamp sets! The design team is sharing peeks of each set for the next four days (October 18-21). Today we're showing the new WTF2 stamp set.

Every time I see WTF I think of Phil Dunphy on Modern Family saying how hip and cool he is as he explains that WTF means "Why The Face". I think CAS-ual Fridays Stamps creator Michele has a sense of humor too!
Smiling now?
This is a very clean card! I stamped the sentiment in the center of my card stock and then filled in the rest by repeatedly stamping the graphic from Bold Wishes in blues and greens. I though this would be a great unisex card.
The WTF letters are open so you can custom color them as you like to personalize your card. I thought the card needed a little more "flash" so I added some glitter tape above and below the sentiment to define the edges, and some silver enamel dots.

CASE Study #210 - Flower Bouquet

Thanks for stopping by!  I think I have more posts on Thursday than any other day of the week LOL!!  Today I have three - new challenges from CASE Study and Fusion.. and ooooh.. pretty... a new release from Waltzingmouse!! SO I hope you take your time and look around today!!    Our muse this month at CASE Study is the amazing Debbie Hughes!  I love her cards and she always inspires me to create!!  Look at this beauty she has for us today.  I see a pretty embossed background, lots of pretty die cuts bundled together with a bit of twine and topped with a scrolled sentiment.  Debbie's color scheme got me thinking Christmas, but I'm just not ready to give in to it!  I thought I'd make a pretty little thank you card that I could use any time of year.  I flipped Debbie's card up side down and made a flower bouquet tied with a twine bow.

CASE STUDY #209 Friends Forever

Hi and thanks for stopping by!  I hope you are having a good week!  I'm still getting used to my kids schedules.  They both go to a local university so they're home each night - but classes are at all different times, and it seems like there is always someone coming or going, and I never know who's home for dinner.  I'm glad the weather is starting to get colder - I'll start making chili, and pot pies and other things that are easy to reheat in a snap.  I need to find some good crock pot recipes that can keep warm and be ready whenever someone decides to come home and eat.

A new challenge starts today at Case Study Challenge Blog.  Our guestie this month is the fabulous Debbie Hughes!  She has beautiful style and I love her blog.  Is there anything this lady can't do?  Look at this beautiful design for us today.  Embossing, gems, ribbon, and those pretty feathers.  Feeling inspired?  I didn't want to copy Debbie's design, I wanted to make it my own. What did I love most about Debbie's design?  Well ... I zoomed in on that pretty gemmed wreath in the background.  I'm all about color so I switched up the soft dreamy white and kraft colors, and went for some bold blues.  Instead of the horizontal lines from the ribbon and twine, I added card stock stripes before I die cut my wreath.   I can't wait to see what you make for this challenge.  There are so many possibilities!

Need a little more inspiration?  Check out what the rest of the team made for your visit today!

CASE Study #208 - Apple of My Eye

Happy Thursday!  For me that means a new challenge at CASE Study.  This is such a fun month to play along.  Our muse is none other than Debbie Hughes!  She's a total rock star in the crafty world and I'm so happy to be casing her today!!    Check out the inspiration photo - a fall beauty - apples, burlap and some distressed wood grain in the background.   Of course I zoomed in on those beautiful colored apples and threw in a little burlap and natural button twine to boot!  I can't tell you how tempted I was to make a pretty little tag, but I finally inked up this new Clearly Besotted set and wanted to use more than one of the sweet little apples on my project.

Need a little more apple inspiration?  Or do you see a pop of red on a dark background?  Hmmm... I wonder what everyone else made!!   You too?  Just click on the names here to jump to their blogs to find out!!

Case Study #207 - Debbie Hughes!!!

Hi and thanks for stopping by!  I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend and are starting to get back in the swing of things.  I feel like I lost a few days - having folks over for dinner and enjoying time with family.    It's Thursday - that means a new challenge begins today at CASE Study.  It's also the FIRST Thursday of the month... and that means a new muse to give your creativity a kick start!  And what a muse we have this month... none other than Debbie Hughes!

I was in love at first sight with this one.  Lots of the time I ask you if you can see where my inspiration came from, but not this time. I thought this one was perfect all by itself.  Here's how to duplicate this gorgeous layout.  Heat emboss your images with white on vellum.   Next, flip it over and color the back of the vellum with markers - I used Copics.  This is so easy - no "staying in the lines to worry about".  Just use a darker colored marker so that the color comes through.   I pressed mine for a few days between a stack of books to get the vellum to flatten out and then adhered it to white card stock.  Debbie embellished hers with pearls and gems, but I think it's just beautiful as is.

I hope you will give this one a try.  Are you looking for a little more inspiration from the DT?  Just click on their names here to jump to their blogs - you will be glad you did - there's lots of pretty projects awaiting you!

Happy 4th Anniversary CASE Study!

Happy Anniversary CASE Study!  Are you hopping along with us?  If you are then you should have gotten here from Pamela Ho's blog.  If you want to start the party at the beginning you can find all the information here at the CASE Study Challenge Blog. Chupa has a super fun anniversary party planned for us - and can you believe  it's going to last an entire month?  There will be a blog hop every Thursday as well as an opportunity for you to play along and CASE any of the projects from the blog hop.   There are even some fabulous prizes up for grabs!  The sponsors this week are  Serendipity Stamps, Penny Black, Uniko Studio and Waffle Flower!!!
All the designers on the hop were asked to CASE something that inspires them.   I can't think of anyone that inspires me more than Chupa herself.  Whether its one of her beautiful creations, a new Sketchbook Saturday challenge, or  a new hand picked designer to be my muse at CASE there's always something new to try.  The card I'm CASING is a great example of Chupa's fun and trendy style.  She has a great eye for color.  She's taught me it's ok to mix and match patterns, colors, and design elements.  Most of all she's taught me to just have fun and to not be afraid to take chances!

This is Chupa's original card.

Here's my take on Chupa's card!  I had lots of fun mixing papers and patterns using the same layout just mixing up the elements.

Ready to see some more CASE'd projects?  It's so fun to see what and who inspires us!!   Before you go I hope you will leave me a comment.  There's some sweet prizes up for grabs and you don't' want to miss out!  You have until Midnight on Tuesday 8-12 to comment. Your next stop is Anna Kossakovskaya!  Anna is my teamie on CASE and she has a fun clean style!

Here's a list of all the designers with projects to show you today!

CASE Study #202 - Cherries

Hi and thanks for stopping by!  Another busy posting day for me so please look around.  I bet you've been wondering what I've been up to!   Now you know!!  LOL!  I'm feeling better from my dental implant and getting back to normal.  The hint of fall is in the air - or maybe more in my head since the kids are buzzing about what classes to take and school actually starts in August... GASP... that's tomorrow!!!  Time is flying!  Moriko is getting big and turning into a moocher!

I'm playing at CASE Study today. It's our last challenge this month with our muse Shari Carroll. She's been lots of fun to CASE and I'm going to have to start stalking her blog now. I've been introduced to so many wonderful designers though CASE. So what does Shari have for us this week? Oh.. look at this beautiful red flower on the kraft background. Did you notice the stamping on the background? How about the colored stripes on the flower? The little banner peeking out both sides of he flower? Well now it's time you take it, make it your own, and own it!

What did I see? At first I was captivated by that flower - but then how to make it mine?  Would it just look like another flower?  I knew I wanted to keep the red so I went for some cherries!!    I added the double ended banner sentiment, and lots of color with a layered patterned paper background.

Now it's your turn! Or are you looking for a little more inspiration? Check out projects from the design team and our special guesties Amy Tsuruta and Tenia Nelson!
Amy and Silke are on Summer break but the rest of the ladies are ready to wow you!

CSC#200 - Take Note!

Thanks for stopping by!  It's Thursday - and to me that means a new challenge at CASE Study!  I've been playing at CASE for almost three years now and it's still one of my favorite places to play.  I love that Chupa finds a new muse every month.  It inspires me to look at cardmaking in a whole different way.  I've really been loving the inspiration from  Shari Carroll.  Here's her project we're casing this week.  All you need to do is study the design, focus on the elements you love and then make it your own.    So what do you see?  Maybe it's the color scheme, or the clean layout?  Don't you love the pop of red from the heart?  I  got stuck on the repeating pattern of circles.

I switched out the circles for arrows.  First I stamped the arrows / chevrons on white card stock, and then embossed it.   I added a die cut arrow and sentiment in black to draw your eye and then finished it up with a sprinkle of sequins and enamel dots.

Now it's your turn!  Or maybe you need a little more inspiration?  Check out what the CASE Study DT made.  And  - we have two guesties this month! Amy Tsuruta and Tenia Nelson!!
