Southern Girl~Tag Your It!

This week over at Southern Girls Challenge we are play Tag your It!
To play along is real easy  peasy....you just need to decorate a tag or put a tag
somewhere on your project

We have 3 sponsors this week, Iva Nova Chest, Stampotique Originals and Marianne Designs

For my tag I used Marianne Designs dies LR0250 and LR0112

Stampotique Originals Stamps Stella 3053 and 8918 Aborigine Verse

I had a wonderful time making the background for this tag, using distressed ink and direct to
paper technique to color the tag then placed in a embossing folder.
Adding more distressed
ink on embossed leaves I then sprayed on Radiant Rains Shimmering Mist.

Then placing Marianne Dies on tag, Stella sitting has been masked with butterfly wings hence
"Stella Fairy" on the vines and lastly a few jewels for bling with the aborigine verse

A & T Challenge~Anything Goes

 Hello.....Get your crafty on folks!

I rushed home to put the finishing touches on my project for the A and T Challenge today.....which you can find the challenge here!

I used the instructions in my Compendium of Curiosities volume 1 to create the background on my tag.  Timmy would be proud!  LOL   I used the Emerald Faeries "Ashee" and you can get the faery here!

You really can't tell by the photo but I used whit liquid applique paint for the puffy parts of the mushroom, with just a hint of gray color to define the edges.  I dabbed the roses with a bit of color to match my tag and added glitter to make them pop a bit.

I'd like to share with these challenges:
Crafts and Me ~ Use a Digi
Inky Impressions ~ Ribbon
Digi Doodle ~ Things with Wings
Cute Card Thurs. ~ Tag Your It!
Whoosh......that's what I feel like my summer is doing, I think I'm getting caught up on things here....then comes more that needs to be done!  Thanks for dropping by,  I enjoy your comments!

Glitter Tag Swap

This was a fun tag to make that I sent off for my swap partner on one of my Yahoo Groups.......I started out with my basic tag made with SU card stock and covered it with PPA (Perfect Paper Adhesive) it's better than modge podge, then covered it with a Designer Napkin trimmed the edges, added another coat of PPA and sprinkled it with ultra fine glitter let it dry over night or dry with heat gun......WAH LA   Now you have a wonderfully done elegant tag!

I got carried away a little bit with my glitter....is that called heavy handed??  LOL  Oh well I hope that my partner likes glitter as much as I do!!

Tag with Pocket Holder~Swap

Hello again just had to share this with you before I send it off in the mail to my swap partner........first off I made my tag that goes inside and measured the holder for size and used a embossed folder from SU

I stamped the image, colored, stipple the background and mounted on the green card stock tag with ribbon for a finish

Sentiment is from SU and the coloring on the front of the holder is Luminart' paint pots which gives a little sparkle

Isn't she cute

ATG Tag Swap

Well I dithered on what to do for my "Any Thing Goes" tag swap for a yahoo group Inkyfunstampers, so I ended up using my Stampscape stamps for a fun outdoor scene with the aurora borealis or the northern lights

Here's a little bit better view of my tag that will be making it's way to Pennsylvania to my swap partner.  I stamped it with versa-fine ink, dry brushed & dauber with SU dye ink, sprayed it with Radiant Rains and added 2 coats of clear embossing powder before I was finished with my tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Well hello there, I signed up to do some more Tag & Card swaps on a Yahoo group for this month and I worked on this tag for my first project, I'm pretty happy how the crane is silhouetted with the reeds & brush in the background......it was fun and easy!

Thanks for stopping by, hope your week is going well so far.........Happy Stamping!
