The Known Universe


Alright, you just had a bad day, had things going against what you wanted it to be.
You feel frustrated and angry, thinking the problem is a "BIG THING" to you.

However,
have you ever think about,
how insignificant your "problem" is?
how unnoticeable your "bad mood" is?
how tiny you are in this world, in this universe?

"The Known Universe takes viewers from the Himalayas through our atmosphere and the inky black of space to the afterglow of the Big Bang. Every star, planet, and quasar seen in the film is possible because of the world's most complete four-dimensional map of the universe, the Digital Universe Atlas that is maintained and updated by astrophysicists at the American Museum of Natural History. The new film, created by the Museum, is part of an exhibition, Visions of the Cosmos: From the Milky Ocean to an Evolving Universe, at the Rubin Museum of Art in Manhattan through May 2010. "

Go Stern (Go Stand)

I'm sure you Malaysian out there heard of this word -

"Go stand/gostan etc", which means reverse.

But do you know the real term?

Its Go Stern.

Stern is actually the end part of a ship. To be contrasted with bow, where bow is the front.
"Malaysia: to move backward in a vehicle (informal)" - www.encarta.msn.com.

Note the Malaysia noting in front of the definition, probably only Malaysian called Go Stern as to mean reversing. =)

Homograph


One question:


Use only ONE word to relate Egyptian & Mother.

The answer is Mummy.

Answer : KEY (there are KEYs on a piano, and you use a KEY to open locks)


Interesting huh?

You see, "Mummy" and "Key" are what we called Homograph.


It's a word which have two or more meanings, but it is always spelled the same. Eg: the word "tank" can be used in "army tank", or "water tank", both with same spelling, but different meanings.
