Easter Wrap Up

Before we left for Granny's, Heath and I set up and cleaned the water slide for our afternoon Fun Day with cousins. When the kids were finished hunting eggs we all said our goodbyes and headed back to our house to swim! Ashley showed up with red velvet cupcakes and popsicles. The kids were in heaven!

I'm not sure how I missed getting a picture of Sawyer or the "big" kids and silly Maggie must have found Westin's tool bench!

That Afternoon

Easter morning is a day that is set for us every year. We ALWAYS go to Heath's Granny's house and enjoy a fabulous Easter lunch and an egg hunt.

Before lunch, the Littles gathered in the front yard to "socialize." I wonder what they are discussing?!?
After we enjoyed this delicious spread....

it was time to hunt!
PawPaw helped Westin with this new "game" so I could snap some pictures and he caught on quickly!
AR, on the other hand, needed no help at all. She has become quit the pro.
It's hard to believe all of these babies who could barely walk/crawl last year are now able to run around and hunt eggs. They are just so precious!
An we attempted another cousins photo!!
..and this time next year, this sweet little miss will be shoving those boys out of the way!
We decided to invite all the Littles back over to our house to enjoy the rest of the afternoon outside and the waterslide..

Easter Morning

On Easter morning, the Littles woke up to this sweet loot.
So what did that sneaky Bunny bring??
Westin got a new bathing suit, a water bottle, bubble, a choo choo, books and tons of chocolate!
AR scored a new bathing suit as well, along with a devotional, ballet shoes, new sandals, bubbles, and of course, Reese's Cups.

We had a great Easter. However, we had to miss church Sunday morning. Our smallest stinker decided to ingest Grease Lightening and needed to be closely monitored. He actually picked up a rag I had been cleaning with and sucked the water/chemicals from it. We heard this past Sunday at church that the service we missed was absolutely amazing and led many new followers to be saved. It gave me chills!!

Our Easter afternoon was spent surrounded by our group of youngest cousins.

Spring Break Getaway

On Friday, the kids and I hopped in the car with Memaw and drove 5 hours to Blairsville. It wasn't a peaceful, relaxing ride by any means. We were constantly picking up dropped items from the floor board, breaking up fights over blankies and toys, and stopping for junk food to pacify bored, screaming Littles. Memaw may or may not have threatened to to put us all out on the side of I20. :) Thankfully, all 4 of us made it to Blairsville safely and let MiMi and Poppa begin baby duty. I, of course, brought my camera but soon realized I left my SD card in my laptop at home. On Friday night we had a fabulous dinner on the deck and let AR and Westin play their little hearts out.

On Saturday morning, we stopped by CVS to purchase another card before we took a drive over the mountains to enjoy the North Georgia petting zoo.
AR and Westin had a blast feeding and petting the animals but I think Memaw enjoyed it more than anyone. Baby goats own her :)

After a good washing of the hands and a potty break, we enjoyed a light lunch before heading to our next location.

Next stop: Cabbage Patch Kids Babyland. When AR was about 8 months old we took her to Babyland but since then they have built an amazing new building, so we went to check it out.

So how did this family get around on this lovely Saturday afternoon...

The kids were pooped and so were the grown ups. We spent the rest of the evening relaxing, eating, and enjoying one more night together before our departure.

Our stay was short but oh so sweet. I can't wait to spend lots of summer days with MiMi and Poppa in the mountains of north Geogia!
