I took these in the last week or so but they don't fit into a post so here they are.

The other day Kacey came into the kitchen and told me David was on the couch, I looked nad there he was. I asked her how he got up there and she told me she helped him because he likes it up there..... ugh thanks Kacey?


This one is cute because she has been calling him Davey Dave lately and I got her to do it on camera. She has also started sharing with him alot which is a really nice change.

On Kacey's birthday, we went to her favorite place, the beach! She loves Santa Monica Pier so she can play at the beach and ride the Ferris Wheel. This was also David's first time at the beach and he LOVED it!!!

Kacey took off immediately for the water. She would go grab wet handfulls of sand and run all the way back and put them in her bucket. After a few trips she finally realized it would be much easier to take the bucket to the wet sand :)
David took off too!! He was not bothered at all by the sand between his toes!

After the beach we went to Bubba Gump's and had lunch. We told Kacey she could have a soda with lunch since it was her birthday and she asked for a blue soda. They made one for her and she could not have been more pleased :)

They sang happy birthday to her and she got speechless embarrassed.



Then onto the ferris wheel. Again David loved it!!


He kept wanting to stand and look out. Very upset when we would turn him around to take a picture.
All in all a very happy birthday day. It was extra special since Rie and Babu were here to spend it with us!

Nana Rie and Babu (Jamie's parents) flew in from Florida!!!! They actually came in Wednesday night but it was well after bedtime so we got to see them bright and early Thursday morning!! Kacey was so excited! I was awake before her and was in the living room with David. She came out and went to the window and looked out. I asked her what she was looking for and she said "Have you seen Rie and Babu?" She remembered they were coming! I guess it helped that we talked about it all the time.

So we called them up and they came right over as they were staying at my mom's house.
We went to the Science museum and had a great time there. Even David got into it!
They both loved the aquarium, David was in HEAVEN!!!

On Wednesday Kacey and Taline got to celebrate their birthdays!!!

We took a bunch of pictures trying to get them to all smile at the camera at the same time but that never happened. I like this one the best because the look on Sophie's face (Far right) compared to Taline (on top next to Kacey) is pretty funny.

After everyone left, I let Kacey watch a movie while I put David down for his nap and tidied up. I then found her like this, sound asleep and snoring.

Today in class we celebrated David's birthday. Teacher Carol made him a cake and we all sang Happy Birthday to him. He seemed to really enjoy it!! Since I had the camera out, I took some other video of the class so you can see what we do.

Well we went all out again this year and by we I mean Gwynn. It was a very overcast day and we were afraid of rain. We ran around like crazy and people started arriving as we were putting on the finishing touches but WE DID GET IT ALL FINISHED!! Yay us!!

There was an "X" to mark the start and dashes to mark the path with the fairies Jamie worked on floating above.

The favor boxes were all ready to be taken as people left.... but they got a sneak peek as the arrived!!
Kacey looked absolutely adorable in her Strawberrie Rose tutu that Gwynn got Kacey for her birthday (fancy that, it matched the party colors!!!)
All the kids got to decorate fairy wings to wear....
There was "Pirate Grub with special fairy flavoring" to be enjoyed....
Flags covered the backyard although they would not have protected us from the rain!!!! (Please note that Gwynn made these by hand... cannot even guess how many hours of work that was!!)
Kacey was bursting with happiness the ENTIRE time, especially since she was allowed to eat anything, as you can see from the sugar donut all over her face.
Gwynn found these ships in downtown LA for $5 and redid the sails to make these perfect centerpieces!
The kids table had adorable wings on the chairs and coloring pages...

Gwynn tried to get a picture of Kacey in front of the dessert table and she refused to sit still. Just kept jumping like crazy.

Tinkerbell did face painting too. Kacey had a butterfly on one cheek, a rainbow on the other, a rose on her arm and a crown across her forehead by the end of the party!
I think this pic is funny because I was trying to hold David in the picture of someone elses camera without me being in it but my camera got me too. The look on my face shows how heavy David is!

After everyone left, Kacey started asking us every 15 minutes or so if she could open presents. We told her after David woke up from his nap. He never ended up falling asleep so we finally let them open presents. They had so much fun!
ARGH!
What else do you do at the end of a party but tie balloons to your toes????
It was a super fun day and sooooooo wonderful. The weather cooperated and it never rained!!! Thanks so much to Gwynn for all of her hard work and to all of Kacey and David's friends for coming over and sharing this special day with us!!!!
