Aunt Sydney

My sister Sydney came in town this weekend to stay with us while Josh went out of town. We had a lot of fun, but of course time went so fast. Thank you Sydney for such a fun couple of days! We already miss you!

Swim Time

A couple days ago, Josh and I wanted to take the girls swimming because the weather was so perfect. But, to bad we don't have a pool here. So we went to the next best thing, the jacuzzi. Taeler had still had fun swimming in the 5 ft. pool. I loved putting Rylee in her swimming suit for the first time. She looked so cute with her gut hanging out of her tankini. Anyway, we had a fun afternoon.

So disgusting!

Yes, I know Josh has a mustache. All the guys here in dental school decided it would be really funny to grow a mustache to celebrate their last written finals. I wish I had a picture of all the guys, but atleast I got one of Josh. Thank heavens he has shaved it off since. It looks so 80's to me. I love the picture of the girls though!

Yesterday, I was standing there switching the laundry, and I looked over on the couch where I had set Rylee by Taeler, and they were just sitting there.  I thought they looked so cute.  Taeler is such a good big sister to Rylee, and Rylee just loves her.  Anyway, just a few random pics!

Taeler's new favorite movie

Taeler just loves Hairspray!  She would watch it five times a day if I let her.  She is getting to know all the songs and dance moves.  We even got her the soundtrack so she could listen to it in the car, and I'm beginning to think that was a mistake!

Our 6th Anniversary

Yesterday was our sixth anniversary.  Part of me can't believe we've been married for six years already, but the other part of me feels like it's been way longer than that.  I am so lucky to be married to Joshua, here are a few reasons why:
  • He is the best dad in the world!  He loves his girls and they are in love with him. He always takes time out of his busy schedule to spend time with them.
  • He loves to sing, which at moments, drive me crazy, but really, I'm just jealous because I can't carry a tune.  Which brings me to the next thing, when I sing, he doesn't laugh, he just smiles, even though I can just imagine what he's thinking.
  • He always puts his family first.  If I asked him to stay home instead of going somewhere, he would drop what he was doing and stay.
  • He can make up a song to whatever he is doing, and it ALWAYS rhymes.  I don't know how he does it.
  • He tells Taeler the best made up bedtime stories.  She would way rather have dad tuck her in than mom.
  • He has worked so hard in school to get where he is........97 days left....but who's counting?
  • When Josh sets his mind to something, he doesn't stop until he gets it.  Yes, this isn't always a good thing, but usually it is.
  • He always lets me pick where we're going.  He always says, "I don't care!"
  • He would do anything in this world for me if I asked him too, he is that sweet.
  • He's a great basketball player- and he lets me win in around the world.
  • He's going to make a wonderful dentist!
Oh, how I love my Joshua.  Happy Anniversary Sweetheart, I love You!    -Chels

Rylee has recently started on baby food and is in love!  She loves anything I give her, from plain rice cereal to avocados to bananas, whatever.  I am hoping this continues because Taeler was picky from the start.  I can't believe Rylee is six months old.  We just love her to death and her sweet smile just makes us melt.

Today, we also want to wish our nephew CREWSER a happy 2nd birthday and wish we could be there to celebrate with him.  We love you Crew!

Easter Egg Hunt

So, Saturday, the new primary president had an Easter primary activity.  Yes, they are way more on top of things than we were as a presidency.  Anyway, it was really fun to see Taeler run and get as many eggs in her basket as possible.  The best part of the whole morning was watching all the kids open their eggs and seeing the disappointment in their eyes as they realized there was no candy in their eggs, only crayons and erasers.  Of course, all the parents were saying "thank you", but the kids couldn't quite figure out what was going on.  My favorite was seeing Tessa Thompson's pouty face as she looked at her TWO eggs she got and then realized there was no candy.  I couldn't help but feel sorry for her.  We are sure going to miss these fun times where everyone gets together.  It's coming to a quick end, and no matter how excited I am to be leaving, there's a part of me that will really miss it here!

Dinner with the Curtis's

So, I'm a little behind on my blogging, but last week, we had Chad and Jessica over for dinner.  It was fun to see the little girls together.  Their little Annabelle is only like six weeks older than Rylee, although Rylee is just as big.  I feel bad Rylee was so fussy.  Annabelle just wanted to play, but Rylee just wanted me to hold her the whole time.  Ome to find out the next morning at the doctor, Rylee had her first ear infection!  No wonder she was so fussy!  I felt so bad. But, she's all better now!  Thank heavens!
