Nice title. Oh well - my creativity level is somewhere in the 0th percentile.
Sorry to be sort of a downer, but I'm having a terrible night. I'm not feeling well (headache and nausea), obviously up too late, worried and stressed about some upcoming stuff. Still, I think that I have a lot to be grateful for, and although I've done this little exercise before, I'm going to go through it again, in list form.
What I'm So Grateful For:
Our new mattress/bed
Hunter's good nature
Helena's occasional willingness to help and constant concern for me
Dan's efforts at being understanding and his success at bringing calmness to my brain
The DIS Unplugged Podcast
My blogging friends
Washer/dryer
"The Office"
The ability to play the piano
The gospel...the gospel...the gospel (how does anyone function without this most important component?)
Pithy insights and revelations about the small stuff
My grandparents (who will soon get a big, fat, post of their own), who are preparing my mobile home in heaven!
Music
Now I'm off to sleep...and here's the song running through my head:
"Surrender, surrender, but don't give yourself away!"
What's your favorite Cheap Trick song?

Okay, I must be an idiot, but what is a "cheap trick song"? I'm pretty much music disabled though, so talk slowly.
Anyways...I'm sorry about the head ache stuff! I'm here for you if you need me!
But, just think...The Office starts THURSDAY! Woohoo!!! Two days then one hour of comedy at it's finest! Isn't that exciting? Of course, I might give you a headache by begging you for the copy Friday morning sort of early :) Okay, not too early. Let me know if you need anything!
I do that way too often.
I thought that was quite a loving message from Joel... Who am I to judge though... :)
"I WANT YOU TO WANT ME!!" I actually only know that song and "The Flame" which of course is flamming. Anyway- I hope you are feeling better now. I HATE headaches combined with nausea. I liked your thankful list. Oh- and BTW.. Adorable pics of the kiddos and the vacation hot spot. That in itself is exciting!
I'm with Holly -- "I Want You to Want Me." I still remember when Joey sang it on Dawson's Creek. I know. Pathetic. But I knew the song before and somehow it's always fit my love life. Pathetic again! Sheesh!
Awww Beth...so sorry you weren't feeling well. I hope you are on the mend now. Hope you don't mind that I'm posting...I linked from Caity's. :)
I love how you take a negative and turn it into a positive with your "grateful" list. I should do that more often.
Boy, I must be missing something by not watching "The Office" huh? Never seen it.
As far as Cheap Trick goes...I'm with Holly and Rachel...."I want you to want me" brings back memories of going to the roller skating rink on Saturdays as a kid. I even had my own skates. Powder blue tassles and all. haha.
I love your responses! Caity/Joel (hee hee hee), Cheap Trick is a band from the 70s/80s that had a few big hits - "I Want You To Want Me," "Surrender," "The Flame," even a remake of "Don't Be Cruel." My favorite is actually "The Flame" (I know, it's a bit lame.) I'd be happy to make you a recording for your listening enjoyment!
I am now making a mental picture of Leanne in roller skates with powder blue tassels!!! :)
