Monday Challenge #84 - Wish Big!

Hello Everyone,

Well over at My Craft Spot with Kimberly this week the challenge is Wish Big! (anything birthday). I love making birthday cards it always seems like I need one. Well here is my card:

To start off my card is 4 1/4 x 4 1/2. The pink layer is cut 4 1/16 x 4 5/16 and the kraft is cut 3 3/8 x 3 5/8. I cut the image from the cricut cart Love you a Latte. I cut it at 3.5 inches and all pieces were cut in white. I do this sometimes it really makes cutting fast. Then I usually use my copics. This was a great image for this process (I don't recommend doing this for large pieces) Here are the colors I used. (E35, RV13, RV25, R46, G24, & E29) I used glossy accents on the top layer for the caramel sauce. My sentiment is from My Craft Spot Birthday Wishes. The banner is from MCT.

Thanks,

Challenge Me Monday #127

Hello Everyone,

Well, it's time for a new Challenge Me Monday over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.
Today the challenge is, On the job. Make a project using an occupational character (policeman, mailman, doctor, teacher, etc).
For today this is my project:

I used the cartridge My Community, it has been some time since I used this one. I cut the fireman and all his layers at 4". I cut everything in white so I used my copics on everything even the layers. It is so easy cutting out in white. The gray and light yellow stripes on his outfit I just made they did not come with the cut. I looked at firemen images on google to see how to color him and I saw this and added it. I used a stamp set by K. Andrew Designs, Amazing You. I not quite sure but I may even use this for a birthday or thank you card. I did not finish the inside until I know what I am doing with it.

Don't forget to take a look at the rest of the design team and then I hope you take this challenge and link up your project. I would love to see what you do.

Happy Crafting,

Challenge Me Monday #112

Hello Everyone,

Well it is time over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog for another challenge.

 YOU DID IT!
Create a graduation project.
Remember to have at lease one cricut cut and please let us know what cartridge you used.

Here is my project:
I made 2 of these wallets and they are for the 2 senior co-editors of our high school yearbook.(Our colors are blue, gold and white) I thought this was the perfect gift for them (one male and one female). They are great students and have put a lot of time and effort into this. If you have ever done this before you know it is a great big undertaking. I love every minute of it.
I cut the wallet out of card stock 6 3/4 x 10 1/4 and scored at the 2 1/2 and 6 1/2. The white cs is also cut that size and I used a Martha Stewart punch on it. The flap is cut 1 1/2 x 6 1/2 and is attached with velcro.
Inside I hid a camera and there are 2 mini books inside for pictures. I will be starting it off with some pictures I have taken. Prom was last week and I got a few pictures of that and probably graduation I will get some.

Here is the girly version

Cartridges used on blue, gold and white:

CHS - Babysteps cut 1.25"
Graduation hat - Locker Talk cut 1.25"
Camera - Locker Talk cut 1.5"
2012 - George and Basic Shapes cut 1"
class of - Gypsy font cut 1"

I also used my 1/2" corner rounder crop-a-dile and I used magnets on the mini books.

Thanks for stopping by and check out the other projects from the Design Team at FCCB. Once you check them out go ahead a create a project and link it up. Don't forget to include at least one cricut cut.

I am also entering this in the Cricut Creative Cutter Room Challenge - Graduation - Challenge runs May 17 - 30

Happy crafting,

Tammy

Challenge Me Monday #103

Hello Everyone,

This week at FCCB the challenge is

#103 Spring is in the Air

Make a project with at least 3 flowers

Here is my project:

I made this mini book to use for the pictures of the beautiful flowers that will be out soon. We are having the warmest spring at I ever remember. I have a couple more pictures and details on how I created this.

I created the base of the book in my gypsy.  I used Elegant Edges and George and Basic Shapes. I used a rectangle in the George cart to weld to the book image on the Elegant edges cart, which I cut at 4.5. Walk in my garden cart contains the first two flowers and the flower pot and vases. The third flower is from plantin schoolbook. I added buttons, twine, distressing and gems. I will be able to insert pictures into this book. I used a photo punch so the photos just slide in. I will probably embellish a little more once the photos are added.
Please join us at FCCB for this exciting challenge. The design team has some wonderful inspiration.

Thanks,

Tammy

I added some ribbon, prima flowers and some bling. Hello Spring is from the Hello Spring stamp set from MCT. The paper is from DCWV.

Challenge Me Monday #99

Hello Everyone,

#99 – Fancy Trims
Use fabric, lace or other trims on your project
Here is my Entry:
I started this 5 1/4" square card out with a base of white cs (you can hardly see this in the picture). Then the next layer is cut 5 1/8" square in black cs. The next layer is a 5" square I printed and cut with my imagine. The cartridge is the black and white by Teresa Collins (love this cart). I just used hot pink paper instead of white. The next layer is a scalloped square cut at 4 1/2" found on the Elegant Edges Cartridge. The pink cs is cut at 4 1/4". The girl is cut at 3 1/2" and is from the Forever Young Cartridge. The banners along with the sentiment piece of cs are 1 1/4" wide, each are shadowed with black cs. The sentiment is from Classy & Fabulous a MCT Stamp. I used pop ups on the scallop square, girl, banners, and sentiment. I added buttons, sheer ribbon, and a gemstone along with some distressing.
For the inside of the card I did something very easy I just wanted to cut down the white space on the inside. It is hard to fill it up on a 5 1/4" square card and it looks to plain if I don't add something.

Thanks,
Tammy

Hello Everyone,

#97 – Love is in the air
Include a heart on your project

For this project I made a shaped card. I welded 2 scalloped hearts from the Sweethearts Cartridge. I cut this at 4.25 and then cut another scalloped heart at 3.75 to layer on top. The girl is cut from the Forever Young Cartridge and cut at (emblem) 2. On the banner I used one of the stamps from MCT 100% Sweetness. I added some small roses, stitching, and distressing. This was simple.

Challenge Me Monday #96

Hello Everyone,

                                                                   Valentiny Cards!

                                      Create a 3"x 3" card for Valentine's Day
As always, there needs to be Cricut cut on your project.

I created my 3 x 3 card out of craft card stock. I cut a heart out of the center of the card using MCT's heart stitched die and I also cut one out of cream CS for the inside of the card. I also used MCT's teeny tags greeting and die. (sweet friend) I then cut the cupid from the Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge at 2.75 and layered the heart on top. I also cut out the scallop from the Accent Essentials Cart at .40. It was so much fun making this card.I also colored the arrow with a clear gelly roll pen and did some black stitch lines around the card along with distressing the edges with vintage photo. My pictures aren't the greatest but I am working on trying to take better ones.

Hope you enjoyed,

Tammy

Peachy Challenge 01 :: Pockets

Hello Everyone,

THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE

Whether it folds, tucks, or hides a treat,
pockets are a fun way to add something extra!
Here is my entry
I cut out the heart box on the Tags Bags and Boxes Cricut Cartridge.I cut it in half (see picture below) and attached flaps to card to form a pocket. I stuck a treat in the pocket (sorry you can't see that in the picture).
The base of the card is 4.25 X 5.5. The brown CS was run through the large dots cuttlebug folder. I used the PKK-05 Happy Lashes face stamp for the heart. I finished it off with Emma's Teeny Tag Greeting and die.

If you can see the dotted pencil lines are where I cut this in half.

This is the inside of the card.

Peachy Keen Stamps :: Sketch Challenge 66

Hello Everyone,

I created this card for the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge.

I started with an A2 sized card with black cs. The white is layered on top of the black and cut 4 x 5 1/4. Then the red pattern paper (made on the imagine with red cs and the black and white cart by Teresa Collins) is cut 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. The white cs with the stamped image is 2 1/2 x 4. The black piece of cs that runs across the top is 1 1/8 wide. Friends furever is from My Creative Time stamp set Classy & Fabulous and the die is also. The stamped images are from MCT also (Keepin' it Classy). I paper pieced the stamped image and just cut out a square for the bag and used just the handle of a purse in the stamp set. I applied liquid applique to her dress,  purse and collar of the dog. I distressed with black soot and put bling on the dog's collar. I also used my atyou spica pen in red to make shoes on the image and bracelets and hair bling.  This is hard to see in the picture. Finished it off with a bow. I hope you like it. I just can't quit playing around with Keppin' it Classy stamp set.

Challenge Me Monday #87

#87 – Thank You

Hello everyone,
I hope you had a wonderful Black Friday. I know I did. I have so much to be thankful for. Top of the list  would be my family. That is why I chose to make a thankful card for a military serviceman. This card along with a care package will be going out this week.

I used the Stand and Salute

I used the second key (the flag) and took off the yellow chain so I could make the card 4 1/4 X 5 1/2. I cut out the eagle at 3" and I embossed the blue area for stars with swiss dots and rubbed white craft ink over it. The thanks is from wild card. I then attached the flag to a white base card.

Here is a look at the inside of the card. I cut the serviceman out at 3".

Thanks for taking a look.

First of all this is a 4 1/4" square card. I printed the paper with my imagine. I used the Black and White colors and patterns by Teresa Collins. The penguin stamp is a peachy keen stamp along with sentiment.
I paper pieced his scarf with a solid red then I used my clear star dust on every other strip. The circle, scallop and tag are all nestibilities.  I used copics on the penguin and I added some dazzling diamonds for the snow. I added stitching around the tag, ribbon and some red pearls.

Here is a look at the inside.
