Luke - 65 Months

Hi pals,
Things are busy these days.  I loved Disney World and cannot wait to go back. I think I really surprised Mommy and Daddy by how adventurous I was.  I rode just about every roller coaster like ride they had.  I can't wait to try other roller coasters in the future.  I practiced very hard this month for my school program for the Christmas show.  The kindergartners got to dress up as the nativity characters.  I was one of the 3 kings and got to carry one of the gifts in for baby Jesus.  I learned all the songs and sang them with lots of emotion despite having a very stuffy nose.  I'm happy that Christmas is just around the corner.  I'm not sure my list could get much longer.  What, 6 pages is too long?  I really want a bike, and a new skateboard, and legos and an iPad, and, and, and.  I'm still enjoying my music, watching big boy shows and helping Mommy and Daddy cook and clean up whenever I'm in the mood.  I do like to be helpful but I also LOVE messing with my brother.  I can rarely pass him without touching him in some way.  Most the time, this drives him nuts.  That's the point! It drives Mom and Dad crazy too so I've got to figure out a way to be more discrete and get away fast before Davis can hurt me.  He goes with violence first.  I'm more of a tattle-taler! I am obsessed with my Legos.  I make stuff all the time.  I like to put it all out on display until I run out of Legos and then I tear it down and start over.  Except, I have not and will not tear down my fort of Lego men.  They are my protection!
So don't mess with me or them!
Talk soon,
Luke

Davis - 43 Months

Hi all,

What a busy and fun month we have had.  I've been on my first plane ride, visited Florida, enjoyed Thanksgiving, sang in a school program, had a new cousin born (greetings Matthew Thomas) [technically Wren is also now born but she will have to be discussed in my 44 month update b/c that is when she was born], and decorated for Christmas at our house and at Mimi's house. I've had a good time watching football and reporting the scores to Mommy and Daddy.  I also like watching lots of big boy shows if Mom and Dad will let me, like, Beyblade, Power Rangers and sometimes even Pokemon.  No worries, I still like my sweet little boy shows too but I have to pick and choose because I can't watch TV all day no matter how much I beg.  Did you guys know that 3 year olds can talk back? Mommy did not know that but I've been setting her straight.  Consequently, she is now setting me straight.  I'm working on manners and not talking back.  It is tough but I'm giving it a try! I have picked up my Lego passion again and that is really all that I am asking for for Christmas this year.    I just keep telling everyone that I want LOTS of Legos.  Hope I get them.  I had a good report at the dentist again this visit.  So, I got to put my name in the No Cavity Club drawing.  I'm still the best person in our family at managing the Smurf game on the iPad and I am pretty good at all the other apps too.  I still wake up wondering about my hair and trying to brush it but as you can see above, I can let loose a little more than last month.  Have no fear, I promptly fixed this bed head after the picture was taken.

 Talk again soon,

D

Santa Claus Came to the Zoo

We went to the zoo this week and saw the Polar Express in 4-D and on our way to the theater we ran into this guy!

Luke Program and Class Party

Mommy and two other moms were in charge of my holiday party.  We had Chick Fil A, we made reindeer food and we made a snowman frame.  We also had a book exchange and got to decorate our own cookies for dessert.  Yum.  And I was so glad Mommy was there.
I got a little backed up in the book exchange game.  I had to use two hands to catch up.
We kindergartners got to act out the story of Jesus' birth.
Here we are, the 3 Kings.
I was the first king to get to walk in.  I took my job seriously and did some great singing at the program too!   And no worries, Daddy saw me as the king the day before.

Davis Class Party

We had a school Christmas program this month and we got to sing on stage with the big kids!

My 3 year old class! We are a great looking bunch of kiddos!
My Mimi came to see our program and to my class party.  Yay!

Daddy and Mommy came to my class party.  They served up Chick Fil A and fruit for us! We made reindeer food and ornaments and played pin the ornament on the Christmas tree!
I'm so happy!

WE WENT TO DISNEY WORLD!!

We just got home from 6 days at Disney World. It was AWESOME! Mommy and Daddy surprised us with the trip. We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and went to all the parks (Magic Kingdom twice). We had lots of fun meals and met tons of characters. It was so much fun and we cannot wait to go back.

AND GUESS WHO WE MET

While Dad and I went to ride Tower of Terror (yes, I rode Tower of Terror) Davis and Mom met the Incredibles. Flex!
This is Flick from Animal Kingdom. We loved the show It is Tough to be a Bug.
Our favorite, favorite character ever...THUMPER!
Goofy has anyone told you that you look like Santa?
The whole family is excited to meet Donald. He was the last character that we met.
PHINEAS AND FERB!
We were pretty stoked to meet the Green Army man too!
I think Davis was thrilled to meet Handy Manny. Check out that smile.
We didn't get McQueen's signature but we loved seeing him at the stunt show at Hollywood Studios.
Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We love that show.
Pinocchio. He was in a pretty truthful mood when we met him.
Chip and Dale. Just so you know, Dale signs his name with a backwards "e"
Davis met Donald while Dad and I rode Mission Space.
Mom and Davis with Goofy in his street clothes!
DARTH VADER! We did not get his autograph but we totally enjoyed his Jedi Training show.
Piglet was our first character meeting. We had breakfast with all of Pooh's friends on our first morning at Disney!
Tigger led a parade around the restaurant and I was first in line.
Winnie the Pooh!
Jesse and Woody were so fun to meet.
Did you know Pluto can sign his name with his paw?

WDW Excitement and Rides

I went on my very first plane ride to get to Disney World. It was pretty cool!
Have you ridden the Astro Orbiter? It is a pretty tame ride except it is 2 stories up just to get on the ride. It was a good starter ride at Magic Kingdom day 2.
Getting ready for Star Tours. It is an amazing 3D ride through 54 possible Star Wars locations. We got to ride it 3 times. We saw Hoth, the wookie planet, and Mom was even the rebel spy on one of our trips!
EXPEDITION EVEREST. Luke rode this ride 4 times. Twice with Mom and Twice with Dad. It was so awesome. But Tower of Terror is his favorite ride and he only got to ride that once!
Daddy was front and center for a fire stunt during the Back Lot tour.
The Dumbo ride kicked off our Disney attractions.
The teacups are a lot more fun than they look. Especially when Mommy and Daddy turn the wheel.
Luke rode Splash Mountain on the first day and he was hooked on the big rides from then on.
It's A Small World is still a classic! It has such pretty colors and we love that song.
This balloon goes up 400 ft and is tethered to the dock. We rode it on a very windy day and it was so cool. You could see all around!

We also rode: Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion (twice), Tomorrowland Speedway, Winnie the Pooh, Tom Sawyer Island, Buzz Lightyear, Big Thunder Railroad, Pirates of the Carribean (lame), Aladdin's Magic Carpets, Jungle Tours, Nemo, Soarin', Livin with the Land, Imagination with Figment, Captain EO (the Michael Jackson show...lame), Test Track, Mission Space, Spaceship Earth, Toy Story, Tower of Terror, Safari Tour, Triceratop Spin, and Dinosaur!

We saw tons of shows too: Tough to be a Bug, Lion King, Disney Jr. Show, Muppets Show, Osborne Family Christmas Lights, Animation Show, Mickey's Orchestra and Mickey's Dream.

More Disney...

A view from our room. We saw zebras, giraffes, antelope, ostriches and cranes. So close and so cool.
Do you see that giraffe behind us.
Pirate face and Mickey ears. Argh!
Mommmmm...sigh!
But it is funny when Luke does it!
Mommy loved this flower bed. Pics are bad b/c it was in a major thoroughfare.
Did you know you can dig for fossils at Disney? Yep, at the boneyard you can.
Luke and I say the best dinner was at the Sci Fi Dine In where you get to eat in a car and watch trailers to old silly horror movies like the Colossal Man and Attack of the 50ft Woman. Who would watch those?
We loved the dinoland part of Animal Kingdom. But mom is the only one who liked the actual Dinosaur ride.
Bet you can't get that sword out!
Cheers from the Biergarten at Epcot!
Fish (and Bymans) are friends not food!
After a long day at Epcot we took the monorail over to Magic Kingdom to see the electrical parade. It was pretty awesome. And you should have seen how many people were there. I'm not sure I've ever been around that many people at one time.
Oh yeah! I loved the star tours ride. We rode it 3 times. Then we watched Jedi training. I cannot wait to do the training next time we come.
