EMO Tiddly Inks

This Tiddly Inks image jumped out at me when I was browsing and immediately wondered how the blue tints would look in black hair ... Good!!
She was colored with Copics (I'm afraid she's been sitting on desk waiting for a home til now, so I don't know the color combo's I chose).

I used some Black and white digi paper from Bearly Mine Designs, but this heart paper isn't in any packages ... however, there is a lovely black and white package here that you might like.  I also used a piece from the gingham set

I kept this one simple with mats in Stampin Up's Basic Black and Real Red.

Hope you enjoy!
Have a great day!

Fair-ly Sweet

Okay, so I missed the challenge for Tiddly Inks projects including fairies ... but finally got this little imp onto a card.  Love how spring-y this looks, even though we're headed into the fall here in the States.

This sweet thing is called Willow the Greeting Fairy from Tiddly Inks' digital line.  There's also a few sentiments that come with her, but as usual, I like to leave sentiments off the cards - it makes them so much more versatile ... Once I come up with who and what I want to send a card to, I sometimes add a sentiment then, or just treat it like a blank note card.

Willow was colored with Copics (shocked?) after printing onto Cryogen iridescent.  I'm torn between the Xpress Blend It paper and Cryogen.  I love the way the Cryogen automatically gives a sparkle, even if it's not apparent in the photo.  It's kind of like adding Wink of Stella in clear all over.  In fact, I added some Wink of Stella to her wings, but had to do 2 coats, and still, you have to turn the card this way and that to see the extra sparkle.

I used Stampin Up's Pumpkin and Garden Green cardstocks, as well as some fabulous spring-y digital designer paper from Bearly Mine Design
The larger green background is from the Floral Surprise set and the strips across are from the Mini Dots set.  I think they look perfect with the saffron SU grosgrain ribbons and the pretty paper flowers.  Finished off with some pretty pearls.

Copics Used:
     Skin:  E04,11,21,00,000,R20       Hair:  E37,35,31,Y23
     Dress/Boots:  V06,12,01,000,B26,24,21
     Wings:  BG01,000,RV00,BV000

I'm so loving making all these cards.  I'm trying to work on coloring every day and whipping up a card every day-every other day ... Hope you enjoy the results.

Would love to hear what you think.
Take care and have a wonderful day!

Tiddly Inks Challenge #141

For the next two weeks over at Tiddly Inks' Challenge Blog, they're having a challenge to create any kind of project, the only stimulation is that it be a Tiddly Inks fairy image.  This is what I came up with, and I think it COULD very well be the start of making holiday cards this season.  I've been so lax over the past couple of years that I've not sent cards out - shame on me ... well, here's to starting off (or ending?) the year right!
Now, technically, this image is the Christmas Pixie - but hey, she's got wings, right?  That makes her a fairy of sorts in my book ... I colored her with Copics on Cryogen iridescent - love this paper!  Still haven't gotten a new color cartridge, so scrounged for this Stampin' Up designer paper with red in it.  I used Real Red and some old Green Galore (wanted it brighter than norm) cardstock, also from SU.

I don't know if any of you recall, but had a major computer crash in August and lost everything.  I went to use my Silhouette to cut out these snowflakes and realized that I had to reinstall the software and reload all my previous files from silhouette.com, so that took a large part of the afternoon!  Anyway, obviously it's back up and running.

Copics used:
     Skin:  E04,11,21,00,000,R20
     Hair:  E37,29,35,31,Y23
     Wings: YG67,63,61,03
     Hat/Dress:  R39,46,27,22
     Others:  Y26,18,B41

This was really cute, and I hope you enjoyed it ... head over to Tiddly Inks to play along ...
Have a great day!

Tiddly's Wizard with Glasses

Here's another adorb's Tiddly Ink digital image ... My love of Harry Potter and all things related is only shadowed by my love for Game of Thrones ... So when I saw this Wizard in the Tiddly Inks library, I knew I HAD, Had, had to have it ...

And, it's perfect for the bi-weekly challenge #138, Lets Hear it for the Boys over at Tiddly Inks.
Who remembers the very first spell they all "officially" learned?
"Wingardium Leviosa"
(That is unless you count the silly one Ron tried on the train with his rat, Scabbers,
or the overachieving Hermione with her glasses repair).

I colored this wizard with Copics and then added a touch of glitter pen to the end of his wand and some glossy accents to his spectacles.

Copics used were:
Hair & Robe:  W3, 5, 7, 9
Skin:  E000, E21, E02, E11
Pants:  B91, 93, 95, 97, 99
Shoes:  C3, 5, 7
Scarf:  Y23, E35, (can't remember the reds)

I used some Griffindor gold and maroon (or as SU calls them More Mustard and Cherry Cobbler) for the card base, layers and the strips beneath "Harry".  The DP is digi from Squiggle Dot Papers on Etsy.  The sentiment was computer generated ("chiller" font).

I love the way this one turned out ... Not sure I'm going to be able to part with it.

Thanks for popping in - love to hear what you think.

Have a great day!

Tiddly Inks - Let's Hear it For the Boys Challenge

Tiddly Inks hosts a challenge every two weeks, and this last one is Let's Hear it For the Boys which started August 5th ... We were challenged to make a creation for a boy ... Hmm, I say ... all my Tiddly Inks are girly ... so I went to the store (again!) and clicked on the Boys/Men link, and found this image ... I know, we were supposed to make a creation for a boy, but DANG! this looks like my perfect island.  I'm sure I could make Scott enjoy a getaway like this too, so does that count?

I just wanted to say something here - while I absolutely ADORE! the cards I see out there that are embellished to the hilt with flowers and what-nots, I'm more of a practical card-maker ... I want it to fit in a reasonably sized envelope (yes, I've even gone for the 6x6 and 5x7 sized cards) that I can mail at the post office without needing a loan for the postage.

ALSO, I like others to see cards that might not be as fussy as others to hopefully inspire others to be creative without the fear of all the fluff they may see on other cards which can be overwhelming to some.  Again - I'm certainly not knocking those cards, because I really do love them!  While my cards may not be CAS (clean and simple = 1-2 layers), they aren't quite as dressed up as others, which is how I like them ... I hope you do too.
The image was printed on Cryogen Iridescent and colored with Copics.

Colors used were:
     Lighthouse:  W1, W3, W5, W7, W9, B000
     Greenery:  YG23, YG06, G14
     Cliffside, boat, tree:  E33, E35, E37, E39
     House:  E21, R20, R21, C1, C3, C5, B000
     Water:  B91, B93, B95, B97

Papers used were:
Stampin Up's Night of Navy & Cajun Craze
     Basic Grey's Boxer paper pack

I added an SU garden green flourish and some water-colored sequins to tie in the water
The sentiment is from Paper Trey's Daily Design Sentiments pack that was punched out.

Hope you like it ... I sure wish I had a place like this I could run away and hide at.

If you're up to it, check out Tiddly Inks blog for their latest challenge
or check out the Tiddly Inks store for digital and clear images.

(By the way, I DID get their Harry Potter look-a-like image as well,
and may be posting that one too if I get it inked up.)

Take care and have a great day!

Tiddly Inks is having a Design Team call through August 12th, 2014.

These images over at Tiddly Inks are too darned cute ... each day my digital stash of their images grows, and be careful, yours will too ... They're all wonderful!

CHEERS for Tiddly Inks !

Tiddly Inks is having a Design Team Call through August 12th.  If you're interested, head over to their site and check it out.  And while you're there, check out their shop for both digital and clear stamps.  I promise you up front, it WON'T be a quick visit!

I've been coloring like crazy the last few days with my Copics, alas, none of the images colored were Tiddly Inks.  I always like to support companies if I'm doing one of their challenges by using one of their images, so I went shopping this morning and holy cow ... came out with a bunch ... I even made a wish list to come back shopping for more on payday ... Uh Oh!

The image I chose to represent for this challenge was this adorable cheerleader.  The cheer season has begun and we've already started our JV practice.  While we have two wonderful junior coaches, this week we were blessed with a darling girl who subbed for the other two ... As soon as I saw this cheerleader image, I HAD TO HAVE HER ... and have now made a Thank You card for Kenz, which I know she'll appreciate.

I started off printing the digital image on Neenah Solar White.  I used my Copics to color this beauty in.  Since our colors are purple and black, I kept her uniform and poms (which we don't have as cheerleaders, but what the heck) our signature colors.

Hair:  Y21, E31, E35, E37
Skin:  E000, E00, E02, E11, R21
Purples:  V12, V15, V17
Shoes:  C00, C1, C3, C5, C7

I painted on some clear Wink of Stella on the poms and her bow after the card had been assembled.

Cardstock, DP is Stampin Up Eggplant Envy and Lavendar Lace; grosgrain is also SU.

Sentiment is from Paper Trey's Butterfly Dreams (as are the two butterflies floating on the top, which I cut out with a tag die and tied with purple embroidery thread to the bow.

Finished it off with some pretty flowers and pearls and a couple of swipes with my white gel pen on the poms.

I'm also presenting this for the Kit and Clowder Facebook sketch challenge this week.  If you're on Facebook,

Thanks for stopping by  ... Have a great day!
