Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Sorbet swatches and review

I absolutely LOVE my Revlon Lip Butters so I was sooooooo excited when I spotted their new Pacific Coast collection by Gucci Westman in store which includes four gorgeous new Lip Butter shades - Wild Watermelon, Juicy Papaya, Pink Lemonade and Sorbet!!! Of course I wanted them all but even with the Chemist Warehouse 50% off sale I still limited myself to just one xp I'm trying to be good! Juicy Papaya and Pink Lemonade are rather sheer so I ended up purchasing the gorgeous Sorbet.

The Lip Butters are packaged in the cute ColorBurst quilted design with a coloured case and clear top insert making it easy to see the shades. I love seeing my colourful collection in my lippie stash!!

If you've been reading my blog for a while you know I love the whole lipstick/lip balm formula which is why I adore these! The formula feels like a lip balm but packs some colour and are really moisturising as they contain mango, shea and coconut butter.

 photo IMG_6949copy_zps553e9237.png

Sorbet is a gorgeous bright cool toned fuchsia pink and gives a sheer to medium coverage that's buildable. I'm always drawn to shades like this especially for the warmer months and it's very quickly become my favourite shade!! I think I've worn it everyday since I bought it haha. Lip Butters don't tend to last all that long on me but I get about 3hours wear from Sorbet and it leaves a slight stain.

Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Spanish Rose swatches and review

Last year I got to show you Clinique's Long Last Lipstick in Coral Runway which very quickly because my favourite coral lippie. Not only have Clinique brought back Coral Runway permanently (YIPPEE!) they also released 15 new shades!! I have one of the new shades Spanish Rose to show you today.

 photo IMG_2385copy_zps099b883d.png

What they say:

"Clinique is amping up our Lipstick Line up. It's time to have fun with colour.. adds new lips in reds, pinks, beige and berry. Bright and vampy or soft and sexy we have every look for a perfect pout. Longest-wearing creamy-matte formula. Keeps its just-applied look for hours and hours. Won't feather, creep, stain, or dry out."

 photo IMG_2392copy_zps401fa0c2.png

Spanish Rose is a beautiful pinkish rose shade. It looks quite dark in the tube but on the lips it's not as frightening for someone like me who doesn't do dark shades too often! It's housed in the signature Clinique silver ribbed casing.

Overall: I love the formula of the Clinique Long Last Lipsticks! They are really moisturising, apply super smoothly and lasts quite a while on me - about 6 hours and wears to a nice stain. The formula is creamy and definitely doesn't dry out or feather just like they say. Spanish Rose is a gorgeous shade and is pretty pigmented so I'd definitely recommend picking one up!

Details: Clinique Long Last Lipsticks are available at Clinqiue counters nationally, Mecca Maxima and www.clinique.com.au for $36.

Lancome Rouge in Love 163M Dans Ses Bras swatches and review

Hello ladies! It feels like ages since I've blogged but I am back! A few weeks ago I was kindly invited to the launch of the Lancome Rouge in Love collection and today I have my review of one of the gorgeous shades - 163M Dans Ses Bras. The beautiful and talented Emma Watson is the face of Rouge in Love and she worked closely with Lancome on the shade range.

What they say:

"High-intensity colour, a featherlight feel. Rouge in Love achieves the perfect balance: radiant shades in a surprisingly light texture. Its secret? The exclusive ‘colour catching’ polymer texture melts on application, leaving an essential concentrate of colour.

Lips feel smooth and soft thanks to the nourishing and repairing oils that provide hydration for up to 6 hours with striking shine. As comforting as a balm, as colourful as a lipstick, as radiant as a mirror… An ultra-light texture for endless tailor-made looks that take you from day to night.

Rouge In Love is like a second skin that satisfies your every desire. In short: love at first sight."

You all know that I'm a sucker for packaging and the packaging for this collection is SOOOOOOO gorgeous! The lipstick is housed in a sleek brushed silver bullet and has a red stocking inspired stitching on the back. Very very sexy.

The shades are divided into three moods:

Jolis Matins - fresh shades for daytime wear which are identified with the letter M in the shade number; Boudoir Time - pop shades for cocktail hour which are identified with the letter B in the shade number and Tonight is My Night - intense shades for magical nights which are identified with the letter N in the shade number.

The shade I have for you is 163M Dan Ses Bras and it's a beautiful raspberry red. In the tube it looks shockingly bright but it's extremely wearable and also very pigmented. The formula of the Rouge in Love lipsticks is a cross between lipstick and lip balm which a lot of companies have been creating lately. I enjoy these formulas the most!

Swatch:

This is ONE swipe on my hand! See how pigmented it is? And glossy too? LOVE.

Overall: A new lipstick addiction has started - the Rouge in Love lipsticks are AMAZING. They are super pigmented - something I don't expect with these hybrid formulas. The formula reminds me of the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks but much more moisturizing and long lasting which is fantastic. They claim to last 6 hours which I found to be pretty accurate but I still needed to touch up after a few hours. It leaves a nice stain behind if you don't reapply so you still get a nice hint of colour long after the lipstick has worn off. The lipsticks have a slight scent to them and I love that it feels very lightweight on the lips.

The shade does bleed a little so I find using a liner and applying with a lip brush helps to get a clean finish - for these swatch pics I didn't use liner though. This is slightly annoying when it comes to touch ups on the go but reapplying straight from the tube isn't too difficult.

Details: The Lancome Rouge in Love lipsticks are available now in 21 shades from Myer, David Jones and selected pharmacies for $45.

Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism collection

Hi ladies! I am embarrassingly behind on posts at the moment oops so I'm trying madly to catch up. I was lucky enough to attend the launch of the Illamasqua Human Fundametalism launch a few weeks back and as always Illamasqua never failed to impress with their latest product additions! Illamasqua very kindly gifted us with some products from the collection to take home and I have a quick overview of them for you today.

What they say:

"Get ready for a startling celebration of humanity's connection with colour. Introducing the Human Fundamentalism collection, where blinding flashes of pigment provide a sharp contrast to neutral tones, creating a saturated palette that catapults your alter ego to new levels of self-expression. Mix contrasting textures to express your true self, spiralling from rich metallic to pale matt shades. This nonconformity at its most fundamental - at its unpredictable best."

Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Runway Coral swatches and review

Clinique debuted the latest addition to their Long Last Lipstick collection during New York Fashion Week this year. The bright coral shade Runway Coral was inspired by the makeup look created for Karen Walker's Spring/Summer 2012 runway show by Clinique's Global Colour Artist Jenna Menard and has been been turned into an online exclusive shade.

What they say:

"Direct from Fashion Week in NYC! Get the look - and the vibrant coral lip colour - created by Jenna Menard, for Karen Walker's Spring/Summer 2012 runway show. Here for a limited time - and just in time for Autumn too.

“Karen wanted the models to look youthful and feminine with a sophisticated twist,” explains Jenna Menard. “So I kept the eye very simple, the cheeks healthy and then went for a strong, vibrant lip. I chose bright coral because it’s less expected than red, and I went to the Clinique lab to create exactly the right shade. It worked with Karen's entire collection as well as all the model's skin tones.”

Guerlain Rouge G de Guerlain Jewel Lipstick Compact in Gabrielle 60 swatches and review

I've had my eye on the Guerlain Rouge G de Guerlain lipsticks (enabled by Tammie of course!) for a while now but the Aus RRP of $70 held me back. I just can't bring myself to spend that much money on a single lipstick no matter how luxurious and beautiful it is. But then I popped into Cosmo Cosmetics at Wynyard last month and lo and behold they had the exact shade that I wanted for only $34.95!!!! HALF PRICE!!! You bet I snapped it up straight away =D I love a good bargain and it's even better when it's a luxury bargain. I have Gabrielle 60 for you today!

What they say:

A jewel lipstick compact with a white gold shimmer designed by Lorenz Bรคumer, the young and talented jeweller in Place Vendรดme. A horizontal design with feminine curves that houses a secret: a mirror automatically appears when the compact is opened. The lipstick has a pure elegant, contemporary design, and closes magnetically.

This exceptional object boasts a comprehensive, premium formula containing a star ingredient: ruby powder, which acts as an optical whitener to bring out the colour and shine of the shades. The blend of natural active ingredients (Tiger Grass, wild mango butter, Gugul resin, used in Ayurvedic medicine) complete the formula to plump up, smooth and bring moisture and softness to your lips. Available in 25 shades."

The packaging is where the Rouge G de Guerlain lipsticks set themselves apart from others. The lipstick is housed in an elegant silver case that contains a mirror which opens up when you pull the lipstick out.

Sleek, functional and so so luxe. It saves having to carry around another mirror for touch ups on the go! I can never apply lippie properly without a mirror haha. I LOVE the packaging and I feel like a million bucks when I take this out to use xp

Gabrielle 60 is a pretty pink nude with shimmer. It's on the sheer side but still pigmented and gives my lips a lovely glossy pink tint. The formula is creamy and feels fantastic! I find it very moisturising and it lasts a good 6 hours on me. The fragrance is also really lovely - its a violet scent and quite light.

Swatch:

Overall: Why did I wait so long to try Guerlain lipsticks?!!! This has become my new favourite nude pink lipstick and I am DYING to try more.

Details: The Guerlain Rouge G de Guerlain lipsticks are available from Myer and David Jones stores Australia wide for $70 and from Cosmo Cosmetics at Wynyard for $34.95. Cosmo Cosmetics also have stores in Parramatta and Merrylands but I'm not sure if they're available there as well.

You can purchase then in the US for $45US.

Have you tried the Rouge G de Guerlain Jewel Lipsticks?? What other colours would you suggest?

Thanks for looking as always!

Face of Australia Lip Quench SPF 30+ lipstick in Lychee Crush swatches and review

When I attended The Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend last year, we were lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the new shades in the Face of Australia Lip Quench SPF 30+ lipstick collection during the Face of Australia masterclass run by lovely brand manager Tina. Being as awesome as she is, Tina remembered that I fell in love with the lippies and very kindly surprised me with one when they were released!! I have my review of Lychee Crush for you today.

What they say:

"Enriched with natural moisturisers and emollients including Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E & Shea Butter, this rich, creamy lipstick provides beautiful colour in a hydrating formula that protects your lips from harmful UV rays.

Nourishes and protects whilst delivering smooth, even colour that caresses the curves of your lips. Maintain soft and supple lips and protect them from the ageing effects of the sun for totally kissable lips."

The Lip Quench SPF 30+ lipsticks are packaged in a rubberised black case with a lid that has a clear insert in the top (you can see it clearly in my first picture). This is absolutely fantastic because it makes storing so much easier. I can see exactly which lippie I'm grabbing! Great for 1st thing in the morning when I'm half awake lol.

Lychee Crush is a gorgeous peachy nude. It's a fantastic nude colour with peachy tones so it's warmer than other nudes shades out there. No concealer lips here!

Swatch:

Here's a super quick (and dodgy!) FOTD for you guys using Lychee Crush:

Products used:

Face:
Skin 79 Super+ BB cream Gold
NARS Orgasm blush

Eyes:
Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in 02
Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping mascara *

Lips:
Face of Australia Lip Quench lipstick in Lychee Crush *

Overall: I LOVE Lychee Crush! It is such a gorgeous shade and since receiving it I've worn it many many times! I love that it doesn't wash me out which I find with other nude shades. The formula is very creamy and easy to apply. There's a slight scent to the lipstick which is pleasant - it reminds me of my mum's old lipsticks that I used to steal to try out when I was younger xp It brings back good memories! It wears reasonably well but I do find I need to reapply after a 3-4hours. The standout is that it contains SPF 30+ which is so important in sunny Aus. There's a great selection of colours too - from gorgeous pinks and nudes to vampy reds. For less than $10 what is not to love!

Details: Face of Australia Lip Quench SPF 30+ lipsticks are available now in 13 shades from Priceline, Big W, Kmart stores and online from fashionaddict.com.au for $9.45.

Thank you so much Tina for sending Lychee Crush my way to try out! If you haven't tried these yet I suggest you do. Malibu Barbie and Pink Champagne are the other shades I suggest trying out!

Thanks for looking as always!

Dior Addict in Model 564 swatches

The Dior Addict lipsticks are one of my favourites. The colours in the collection are gorgeous and they feel just AMAZING. Not to mention the pretty packaging! I LOVE them to pieces and it was all thanks to Tammie that I wanted them and now have them xp I have some quick swatches of Model 564 today which I showed you in my latest Sephora haul on Sunday. You can check out my full review of the Dior Addict lipsticks here.

Model is a Sephora exclusive shade and is described as a "sheer warm pink". I ADORE shades like this! I do have some bold lippies but the majority of the time I reach for pinks and nudes.

As with the other Dior Addicts I own, it applied beautifully and feels wonderful on. It lasts quite a decent time on me before I need to reapply. I have quite pigmented lips so the colour is very subtle on my lips but I like that as it means I can use it everyday.

Swatches:

Details: Dior Addict in Model is only available from Sephora for $28US. Other shades can be purchased from the Dior online store.

Dior Addict lipsticks are available from Myer and David Jones stores for $49Aus.

Have you tried Dior Addict lipsticks? If you haven't, I really suggest you splurge and try one!!

Thanks for looking as always =)

Clinique Chubby Stick swatches

Hi ladies!! How are you all? Today I have swatches of three Clinique Chubby Sticks that I hauled in my last trip to Hong Kong. I absolutely LOVE my Chubby Sticks!!! They are without a doubt my product of the year. I searched high and low in HK to get these and I'm so happy I managed to pick my favourites up. The ones I'll be showing you today are Woppin Watermelon, Super Strawberry and Mega Melon!

For the uninitiated, Clinique Chubby Sticks are a chunky lip crayon that give a sheer tint to the lips. They contain Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter and Jojoba Seed Oil and feel wonderful on! I reviewed another shade Whole Lotta Honey earlier and you can read the full review here.

Clinique Chubby Sticks in Woppin Watermelon, Super Strawberry and Mega Melon.

Woppin' Watermelon is a very sweet medium pink shade and is my favourite. It goes with everything and is so foolproof you can apply it without a mirror! My lips are pretty pigmented so it gives me a nice pinky tint.

Super Strawberry is a sheer crimson red shade. Great for a light pop of red when you don't want something too out there for eg. work!

Mega Melon is a warm brick red shade and is quite unique in my collection.

Details: Clinique Chubby Sticks are available in 8 shades. They can be purchased from www.clinique.com.au and Clinique counters Australia wide for $35. David Jones currently have Gift With Product (GWP) so with any purchase of over $60 you receive a nine-piece gift set!

They are available for purchase in the US from www.clinique.com for $15US and in Hong Kong from www.clinique.com.hk and Clinique counters for $130HK.

What can I say but that I ♥ them =) Have you tried Chubby Sticks out? I also have Chunky Cherry to swatch for you all later too!

Thanks for looking as always!

Dior Addict lipstick in Diorkiss and Urban: swatches and review

Last week I showed you the little haul that Tammie kindly helped me purchase from the US. I couldn't wait to try out the Dior Addict lipsticks she sent me and I've been using them nearly every day. Today I have swatches and my review of Dior Addict lipsticks in Diorkiss and Urban!

What they say:

"The new Dior Addict Lipstick is a declaration of love between beauty and style, color and couture, and Dior and its addicts. A dazzling array of shades for runway-ready lips. Easy to wear, these shades dress the lips with a veil of color and spectacular shine.

With 25% less wax than a classic lipstick, this formula contains an extraordinary reflecting gel. The result is modern transparency, intense plumping hydration and a magnifying glass effect to intensify shine, plump the lips and above all, enhance color."

The Dior Addict lipsticks are packaged in a cool looking silver case with Dior etched onto the front. They look very pretty however the downside is that they can't stand up on their own due to the tip which is rounded. Only a small thing when you need to take photos of the product ;)

Dior Addict Diorkiss is described as a sheer dark pink and is the shade that Kate Moss wears in all the promo pictures ;) It looks much darker in the tube and when it's swatched than it does on my lips. I guess it also depends how pigmented your lips are too. Diorkiss makes my lips that extra bit pinker! I got a few compliments when I first wore this shade too x)

Dior Addict Urban is a Sephora exclusive shade. I LURVE exclusive/limited edition products so of course I had to ask Tammie to pick one up for me x) It's described as a sheer pale pink and it has some tiny bits of glitter in it too. It is the perfect pinky nude shade for everyday wear!!

My skin looks really scaly and icky here sorry. Winter has not been good to my hands!! *cries*

Overall: It was love at first swatch! Not only are the colours gorgeous but the formula is fantastic. They feel quite similar to the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks in the way that they are not your traditional lipstick formula. They feel very lightweight on the lips and aren't drying at all which is great if you're making the initial transition from lip gloss to lip stick.

I love that there are SO many shades in the collection but this also makes choosing a shade much more difficult! I am sucker for pinks and nudes and there are plenty to choose from as well as darker hues too.

Wear time is excellent but varied for both colours. I find Diorkiss lasts longer as it's a darker shade and even when it's worn off there's a slight pink stain to my lips which is nice. Urban doesn't last AS long but it's still decent on me. Approx a few hours before I have to reapply for both.

The price point for these are quite expensive but a girl has to splurge on a pricey lippie every so often right?? Plus when you consider drugstore lippies in Aus are sometimes around the $20 mark the price isn't too bad..

Would I repurchase?: YES!!!! I'm trying to decide what Sephora exclusive shades I'd like to try next for Tammie to help me purchase xD

Details: Dior Addict lipsticks can be purchased from Myer and David Jones stores for $49Aus.

For international ladies, Dior Addict lipsticks can be purchased from the Dior online store or from Sephora for $28US.

Have you tried the Dior Addict lipsticks? What shades would you recommend?
