Here we are at the end of January already, and it's time to say good-bye. This is my last post for Cropstop. I've enjoyed working for Haylie-Jo for these past two years, and have been inspired by the projects you-all have linked up each month! I wanted to say a big THANK YOU for all the sweet comments you left on the challenge post this month saying how you've enjoyed the projects I've posted each week and will miss the challenges. Today I have a fun snow themed card for you in pinks and browns. When I was gluing my sentiment on,  I accidentally smudged some brown ink on the embossed background. Since I didn't feel like starting over, I diluted some distress oxides and created a spatter effect. Fun fix for my whoopsie!

 Welcome to Guest Designer Friday. Today we have a beautiful card created by our January guest designer --- Amy Brown from Brite Designs Studio. I love the way Amy used her embossing folder on this card - such a bright and pretty design! Here's what she says about putting this card together:

"I ran the gorgeous Couture Creations Hyper Magical Embossing Folder through my Big Shot to dry emboss some white cardstock, then applied a soft layer of SSS (Simon Says Stamp) Inks in Wisteria and Sky Blue to the paper with a blending brush. I die cut two circles using SSS Stitched Circle Dies, one in vellum and the other in white cardstock, then stamped this sentiment from Trinity Stamps "Let Love Grow" Stamp Set with the same SSS Wisteria Ink onto the white circle off centered a bit. I glued the circles together, then placed them to the edge of the embossed panel and trimmed down the side of the circles. I added the silver glitter cardstock strip to the right of the card before adhering the embossed panel with Ranger Multi Medium Matte. I used the same adhesive on the Glistening Snow Confetti from Trinity Stamps and these beautiful Exclusive Acetate Leaves from the Hip Kit Club November 2018 Kit. This card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire, the queen of card making!"

It's hard to believe we've come to the last day of 2018 already, but here we are! I enjoy the feeling of clean slate whether it be -- the start of a new day, the beginning of a new month, or the dawn of a  new year! I thought this TCW stencil looked a bit like a clock face it's center, so I decided to make a New Year's card with it. This card is a bit of a departure for me -- it's a bit more mixed media than I usually do, but I really wanted to do something with my Gelli Plate. I mixed two colors of distress paint (blue and gray) on my gelli plate and used a stencil to create the center of my card.

Hello Friends! It's hard to believe that Christmas is just a few days away! I love this beautiful card  created by our talented guest designer for the month of December -- Jennifer Lewis! (You can visit her Splitcoast Stampers Gallery by clicking here.) I have this same stamp set, and her gorgeous design makes me want to pull it out and ink it up!

Here's what Jennifer says about putting this card together:
"I started with an alcohol ink background of green and red to give the feeling of an evergreen bush with red berries.  I stamped the birds, cutting one out with my ScanNCut and drawing a few extra branches around the other bird.  I colored them both with my Spectrum Noir markers and sponged a bit of Pear Tart around the top bird.  I finished the card by matting the panels with black cardstock and stamping a sentiment banner to ground the bottom bird, who is popped up on foam squares."

Jennifer created a gorgeous Christmas card to share with us today, here's what she says about putting this beauty together:

"The first time I saw this Ranger Alcohol Lift Ink in action, I just had to have it.  It's amazing how it just lifts the alcohol ink right off the paper.  I started by making green alcohol ink background.  Then I inked up my stamp with Ranger Alcohol Lift Ink and stamped the image onto the Yupo paper, blotting the image with a paper towel to really get the best lift.  My favorite part about this Alcohol Lift Ink is that you can then stamp the image onto regular cardstock with the ink that you've just picked up.  So I cut out the middle tree and the sentiment from that cardstock and popped it up on the Yupo.  To give it a festive and finished look, I put some Ranger Gold Mixative on a cotton swab and edged the Yupo and that middle tree in gold.  Finished the card with a kraft frame and some jute twine."

Today I have a fun Frosty the Snowman card to share with you. This card features a wintry background created with Color burst powders and Inka Gold.

 Today we have a brand new guest designer here on the Cropstop blog. Her name is Jennifer Lewis and she makes some super cute cards! (You can visit her Splitcoast Stampers Gallery by clicking here.) Jennifer is sharing a fun masculine card with us today. In her own words Jennifer says:

"This card started with a magazine print transfer on my Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate.  I've found that the Ranger Distress Paints work really well to get just the right thin layer of paint to pull a good print.  But the travel magazine that I used had pages that were a bit too glossy to get a great print. No problem, It still makes a cool background.  And because I had been using a travel magazine, I was inspired to make a card using my Art Impressions "Born to Ride" stamp.  In order to make it look like a Polaroid picture snapped on a road trip through this place in the magazine picture, I masked off a square to stamp the biker and sponged in some blue sky all around him. I popped my "Polaroid" up on foam squares at a carefree angle and tied it up with a bit of black twine."

Hello friends! It's time for another "Inspiration Monday" post. Today I'm sharing a bright and happy card I created using some new Cropstop supplies I recently acquired!


Here's how I put this card together:

• embossed a piece of blue card stock with the Holly Flourish Embossing Folder from Ultimate Crafts
• inked the embossing with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink (Ranger)
• stamped a sentiment from All Things Are Possible (Heartfelt Creations) in mermaid lagoon distress ink
• highlighted the sentiment with a blue colored pencil
• die cut my sentiment using the Beaded Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders)
• added White Opal Liquid Pearls around the edges
• popped up my sentiment using Scotch Foam Mounting Tape
• die cut three flowers using the Bauble Blossoms Two Dies from Spellbinders
• inked their edges with mermaid lagoon distress ink
