Learning and Learning

As a kid I remember hearing my grandma say how fast time flies.
Being a kid I remember thinking
Christmas takes forever to get here.

What I learned.

The older we get the faster life goes.

I plan to enjoy this life.

Every minute God has blessed me with.

and I am learning a few things along the way.

I am leaning how to take selfies with a selfie stick!

I am leaning that windy day trips with the hubby are amazing!
Even if the lake is pretty dried up!
and if my hair is blowing and tickling his face.

I am learning that even when you are stuck in the mud
God is there to help out.

We were stuck in the mud and I looked out my window and said
Hey there is a carpet out there.
Yes in the middle of the woods!

You see that carpet gave us enough traction to get out of the mud,

Oh how I love the Lord.
How I love this season in my life.
Even with all its trials.

How about a car show

Happy Sunday Morning.

The weather here in Arizona is spring like
so hubby decided it was high time
we went to a car show.

Hubby has a love affair with Corvettes!
He always has.

I tend to gravitate towards Mustangs!

I loved this 1966 Mustang...so Sweet!

We call this...Corvette Row lol

We had a great time.
I am enjoying this cool weather because summer is coming for us
and I don't like the heat.

Did you do anything fun this week?

August Busyness

Seems August has been a busy one for me.

Some great orders have been keeping my hands busy.
I have also been having some pain...
Dr thinks its carpel tunnel.

So off to a specialist I will go.

A while ago we got another kitty.
This is Shelby.

She is adorable...and a stinker...and loving...and active.
We sure love having her.

Hubby  and I went with our church family to Northern Arizona to a place
called Bearizona.
It was a blessing to get out of the heat and be where it was cool.

Our Etsy Team is also having a giveaway.
It is being held on Instagram.

It's been a While

Well hello there.

I took a short blogging break to work on some things for Etsy.

If you are still here....I am glad!

Summer is in full swing here in the desert of Arizona.

This is the time of year I want to stay inside as much as possible.

As an Arizona native I should be use to the 113 degree temps

day after day after day.

But the older I get...the more the heat bothers me.

I have not traveled this great nation as much as I should have,

So I have no clue what state I want to live in if I ever move.

Just don't want heat...and I want rain!

What about where you live??

Would that be a great place?

Oh tell me about it!!
I'd love to hear.

The Lord Provdes

Now that I am in my 40's. I tend to let my mind wonder a bit.

No not wonder around...that would be silly.

But wonder about different things that are happening to me.

Wondering will the bills be paid this month.
Will my body not ache tonight.
Will I ever loose this weight.

Seems like my grocery list of needs are growing as I get older,
But when I go to my Jesus in prayer,
I seem to leave the list behind and tend to just be humble and cry before the Lord.

He knows my needs, He knows my heart.
He made me.

I think sometimes putting down the list of needs and just spending humble time
feeling his presence is exactly what we need.

Just like this elk we seen in Colorado. His needs were met that day.
A warm place to rest.
Food for his belly.
And an abundance of sunshine.

But my God shall supply all your need
according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. ~ Philippians 4:19

Salt River Wild Horses

Hubby and I decided Saturday afternoon to take a trip to the
Salt River here in Arizona.

It has been many years since we have been.
It is about 32 minutes from our home.

So we headed to gas up the Tahoe and hubby decided he couldn't see with all the
bugs on the windshield.
( mind you more bugs were coming after our trip LOL)

So off on Bush Highway we go. Traffic was not bad at all.
Thought it might be worse since its 80 degrees at 4pm
and lots of people at the lakes.

We were driving along side these Canyon walls to get to the river.
Where I live in Arizona it is desert.

BUT when we got there we realized we needed a "pass" to park.
The only way to get the pass was to drive back the 29 miles we came.

So we decided to try a lake instead. Same thing.

Funny lived here my whole life and never had to buy a pass..
Anywhoooooo

We had to turn down the entrance to Butcher Jones Lake.
A lake I grew up at and all off a sudden.

My hubby slammed on the breaks and both of our jaws dropped.

The Salt River Wild Horses. I have lived in Arizona my whole life and have never seen them.

They are so pretty. and so use to people. The government had tried to coral these horses and make them not wild anymore.
Until the Arizona people spoke up and said NO!
You have to do that to government. :)

Look at the baby one. Hubby had to park and get out.
I sat in the car in case we had to move since we didn't have a pass.

What started out as a trip to see a river we have seen many times in our lives,
changed and ended up seeing wild horses I only dreamed of seeing.

I hope to see these guys again...but if not..it was wonderful this time!

Red Tomatoes

Since Arizona has warmed up ALOT!
My tomato plant has decided to start turning those cute
little green ones into the black cherry they are
supposed to be!

I am very excited!! Doing container gardening is new to hubby and I.
Well gardening period LOL

Out here in Arizona you can garden pretty much all year.

Oh and don't let me forget the little bell peppers.

These I worry a little more about. We had a bit of a cold spell a while back.
But so far they are holding strong.

We also have spinach, cilantro, and basil.

So far so good!

How's your garden?

Good morning!

I hope you woke up in a good mood and enjoying your day!

Arizona has been a bit chilly this week.

We have a small container garden on our patio.

This is our first one and it is doing well I think.

By well nothing has dies yet and is growing. LOL

The top has yellow and red bell peppers.
Then next is some spinach. That drop needs a bigger pot once it gets a little bit bigger.
There is also some Cilantro...yummmy!

Those 2 large ones are Black Cherry Tomatos.

There is alot and we are waiting for them to turn red so we can eat them.

One thing that I love about living in Arizona is you can grow year round.

And when it gets chilly we just bring them into the dinning room LOL

Do you garden?

So I have been spending evening with a cup of cocoa.

I don't drink coffee, and tea and me we just don't see eye to eye.
