Indigo/Chapters Lifestyle Collection
Image my delight when this little number popped into my inbox today
Imagine my displeasure when I saw the price! ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW? REALLY?
It's gorgeous, but not THAT gorgeous.
WHY is the the Indigo/Chapters Lifestyle collection soooo expensive? Is it worth it? Have you purchased anything from their collection in the past?
I guess I should start saving up my gift cards, eh? Skip the magazines for awhile. Cause I gotta have this.

Lighting Up The Bedroom!
Gotcha with the title of this post? Tee-hee!
I don't know about other condo dwellers out there, but I have a serious problem in our condo.
Lighting.
Or, lack of it I should say. The only ceiling lights in our condo are in the bathrooms, kitchen, dining, and foyer. The living room, and both bedrooms are pitch black! Who does this? I don't get it. Apparently, in new condo and new home builds, I've heard that ceiling fixtures in these rooms are optional? Is this true? It's a bit silly, don't you think?
The only, and I mean ONLY benefit to this problem, is I get to go shopping, once again, for more cool stuff, not only for the master bedroom, but for the babies room as well.
I've been perusing the online world for some ideas, and have found some amazing pieces. Have a look below, tell me what you think!

I've started my search with Ikea (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, & 8), & Urban Outfitters (5 & 10), 2 of my favorite shops, this is what I'm thinking. Although I'll probably change my mind 42 times before I actually purchase something. Now, keep in mind that all these selections I'm thinking of for either the babies room, or for our room. I think the floor lamp would be more suitable for the babies room, don't you think? Hmmm. Table lamps for the master? Hmmm.

MOMA Favorites
The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in Manhattan is a place I unfortunately have never yet had the chance to visit in person. Luckily, I have the pleasure of visiting the museum online whenever I choose, and I'm never disappointed.
Museum's, and art exhibits, both online and in person can greatly inspire a person, which is probably why I love them so much. When I attended Nuit Blanche last month here in Toronto, an all-night modern art installation event, it was unlike anything I expected, both good and bad. Most of the exhibits here much smaller and/or larger than I expected, and others I found I connected with emotionally. The same can be said with visual arts for me.
The best part about MOMA for me, is the MOMA online shop. If you are looking for a gift for a person that has everything, this shop is the best place to find something that they definitely don't have. It's also a fantastic shop for home accessories, and even furniture! Anything and everything in their shop is a work of art, and a conversation piece.
I thought I'd share a few of my favorite pieces with everyone, and if you see something you like, don't worry, they do accept international orders!!!
Clockwise from top left,
Distinct Patterned Glasses, Emmanuel Babled, 2004
NelsonTM Swag Leg Desk, George Nelson, 1958
Colorful Wobble Glasses, Monica Lubkowska Jonas, 2007
Eva Teakettle, Eva Zeisel, 2005
Wiggle Stool, Frank Gehry, 1972

Midsummer Light, Tord Boontje, 2004
Garland Shade Light, Tord Boontje, 2003
Candela Rechargeable Lamps, Duane Smith, Stefane Barbeau, 2003
Joy Candle Lamp, Josefin Hagberg, 2007
Of course visiting the MOMA would be better visited in person, however, i'm thanking my lucky stars for any online version of MOMA. I will get there one day. I promise.

Tonic Home: lighting
I've been looking for pendant lamps and/or chandeliers recently, and stumbled upon these new pieces at Tonic Home.

There are quite expensive, and completely out of my price range, but I had to share the love anyways. Maybe there's some way to DIY these? Absolutely gorgeous!
