An ex-employee of ours posted this ad on his Facebook page yesterday and as was the case with him it blew me away. Watch it here and be amazed.

Now this is what I call great advertising. If you live in the UK you have most probaby seen the British Airways ad - London Calling - where a BA plane moves around the streets of London.
Go to their Facebook page and enter your postcde and the same thing will happen in your street. This is the plane moving around my little hamlet. How clever is that?

Just Hanging Out On The Chocolate Trail
Stange how leaps in technology make you cynical. I assumed these gorgeous images were created in Photoshop but I was wrong. Everything is as it is seen with the help of thin wires.

Created by NAM art/design collective for the Harbour City Chocolate Trail, a charity project for the Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation. Found at This Is Colossal

And before you leave This Is Colossal take a look at the video showing how these images were staged.

Stayin' Alive
I have long thought that I should learn how to do CPR but never fancied giving the kiss of life to anyone. How awful is that? However here in the UK we have a new ad from The Heart Foundation which will enable even the most squeamish of us to do it.

Vinnie Jones plays the role of hard man and tells us all to not kiss the person (you just do that to the wife) and press on the sovereign to the tune of Stayin' Alive. BRILLIANT! This is such clever advertising. Take a look at the video on YouTube.

If Ghost Furniture Had a TV Ad This Would be It
I live in a forest, I paint vintage furniture and this how I would see a TV ad if I had produced it and could afford it. This French ad is for Nina l'Elixir by Nina Ricci. Florrie singing Sunday Girl is the icing on the cake. Take a look on You Tube you'll love it, promise.

About Time - Beer Glasses For Women
I received an email yesterday asking me to take a look and vote for a Wine Glass for Women. What a fabulous idea. I hate beer glasses, we drink wine from nice glasses why not beer? Bittersweet have asked Amy Molyneaux fashion designer for PPQ to come up with the designs and the public get to vote.

Here's the shapes,

here's the patterns and

this was my choice.

Bittersweet are also asking for suggestions for making picking up take away a tad more feminine. In times such as these it's nice to see some frivolity.

Marvels and Wanders at Anthropologie

The graphics department at Anthropologie should be awarded a medal the size of a frying pan. The work they have done on their Marvels and Wanders pages is excellent, so are the products.

You MUST Go and See This Monumental Video Show

I watched this in total amazement the other day when I visited Yatzer. This video is of a light show using video projection materials done by Easyweb in France. It is totally mind blowing.
I insist that you visit and I will know if you haven't because I will check my out clicks on Sitemeter so be warned. It can be viewed HERE

I Wonder How Much These Are

These were made by Purpose for Selfridges. Very of the moment but a little frivolous I think.
The reasoning behind it is this:
Selfridges wanted a special chocolate, to coincide with National Chocolate Week 2008, and the fact that – due to world events – people are spoiling themselves with little 'treat' purchases.

Mattoni Water Dress - You Must See This

You must go over to Yatzer and see this ad. A young lady walks into a restaurant in a dress made of water. It will blow you away I promise if it doesn't then come back here and have a go at me.

The Best Ad EVER! Hovis Bread

I watched this ad the other night and could happily watch it over and over. Now that's something. Hovis bread has been around forever and their new ad takes you through the ages via a little boy going to the shop to buy some.
Please take a look you will be blown away.
NOTE: Just found out that it is a 122 second ad to celebrate the 122nd Anniversary of Hovis bread. How clever is that?

Clever Merchandising

Leo Burnett - who came up with this bit of merchandising for a Yoga Centre should be very proud of himself. Even if you aren't interested in merchandising then go to his site just to scribble on his home page (see bottom image) - it's great fun.

How Do They Do That?

These carvings from white radish, carrot and pineapple were done for an advertising campaign by WMF the German company who make those super sharp knives.
I found these over at Enzie Shahmiri's blog, which by the way you should visit. She is not only a fabulous artist but features some really stunning stuff.
Back to the sculptures - WOW!

See How An Ad Is Made - Sony Bravia

I just LOVE the new Sony Bravia Ad which was shot in New York during August this year. The music isn't the only thing I love - being a 60s chick I appreciate a good Rolling Stones song - She's a Rainbow.
If you follow this link you can see the ad and also see exactly how it was made. Trust me it is absolutely brilliant and well worth the visit.
