Pure of Heart!!

Good Morning all!!! Yes it is Monday and I am not at work lol I have to go to the dentist today so took a vacation day. Hopefully this will be my last visit for awhile lol

I saw this idea on a blog awhile back (forgot who sorry) but it is a gum holder. My granddaughter is always loving it when I make her things so since she loves to chew gum so much I thought I would make this for her. I have used the Pure of Heart from Sugar Nellie in the Diane Duda collection. I colored her with my copic's and have used some older papers from MME. I just added some little flowers from a SU punch and added little flat pearls to the inside. This was really easy to make. Below I will tell you how I done it if you would like to try it out. Sugar Nellie has a large selection of Diane's stamps on sale so go grab them before the sale is off. These images are so cute and so easy to color. Great time to get them while they are on sale.
Here is a pic of the inside of the holder.

I took a piece of card stock 2 1/2 by 12.
Scored it at 2, 2 3/4, 7, 7 1/2.
I took the oval punch from SU and punched the holder for the gum on the end of the 7 1/2 scored end, I left about a 1/2 inch from the end and punched there.
I also scored in the middle of the oval so it would lay flat.
I used some score tape and taped it shut at the 2 3/4 fold. and used a magnet to hold it together and then decorated the front of the holder.
This holder was made for the Trident layers gum but I am sure you can get the idea to make your own measurements for the package of gum you choose.

Hope I explained that well enough if not and you have any questions please feel free to email me.

Well need to head out. Hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping bye. Sending Big Hugs (((((((((())))))))))))

Some Challenges for the week!!!

Hello!!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend!!! Well mine was working yesterday but did get today off. I did manage to get some play time in today and join in a few challenges.

I got my DT Kit from Sugar Nellie during the week so I had several images colored so made them into cards today. If you all haven't gotten your new Christmas stamps from Sugar Nellie I would suggest getting them ASAP for it does take some time to get them if you are in the USA but they are so adorable and so easy to color.

Then Sugar Nellie has some new stamps getting ready to come out and they are from the Sugar and Spice collection and OMG they are adorable. So check them out HERE they are on offer this week as a prize over at the Sugar Bowl so go join the challenge there and get in the chance to win these adorable stamps.
This card is from the Leanne Ellis collection Girl with Scarf from Sugar Nellie !!! She has been colored with my copic's. And my papers are from BG the Figgy Pudding Collection. The ribbon is from my stash and I have used some flowers I had in my stash and just colored them with my copic's and added a spacer and brad in the center. Wording is from Whiff of Joy and the background flourishes are from Inkadinkado. I also used the branch punch from L-Em.
I followed the sketch for the card here from Sketch Saturday.

And look at this cute image!!! He is from the Mary Hall collection from Sugar Nellie. He is called Christmas Eve Boy. I have used papers from BoBunny and he has been colored with my copic's too. I used some ribbon from my stash and the wording is a peel off from Starform and the stocking is a rub on from American Crafts. The holly is a punch from MS and the flowers were from my stash and colored with my copics.
This card was made for Create 4 Fun challenge this week and it is a wonderful sketch by Bev.

And my final card is for the sketch at Friday Sketchers this week. This is called Making Friends from the Diane Duda collection also from Sugar Nellie. Isn't it just so adorable??? My image has been colored with my copic's also and my papers are from Cosmo Cricket. Rub on's are from American Crafts and ribbon is from my stash. The snowflakes charms are from a very very dear friend of mine(thanks bunches dear) and then I used a snowflake from a sizzix die and McGill punch.
Well that is it for me for the weekend. I feel good I got to get in a few challenges. Thanks for stopping bye and don't forget to keep an eye out for the new stamps over at Sugar Nellie

My flower tutorial!!!!!!

Well here I am with post 2 today!! I have had so many emails and comments on how I make my flowers so I thought I would do a quick tutorial for you so anyone that would like to make them will know how I do it now.
These are the punches I use, The large and medium retro punches from Fiskars, Martha Stewart branch and leaf punch and my crackle stamp from Innovation Stamp Creations.

I punch 2 each of each size retro flower out and stamp them with my crackle stamp

Next I distress them with ink around the edges the color depends on the color of flower I am using. I also fold each leaf in the middle to make it stand out.

Then I stack the 4 flowers together layering them to show each leaf.

Then I add the brad and spacer and the branch and leaf to the flower and use them on my project. Here I have made a door hanging for my granddaughter with one of the Gorjuss Girls from Sugar Nellie. I have used a piece from a floor puzzle and sanded it and glued my pp to it cut the shape out and then decorated it, My gorjuss girl has been colored with my copic's my wording is from a sizzix alphabet set, the butterfly is from MS and the ribbon is from my stash.

Not really for sure about the paper it was just in my stash I had. I have used my crop a dile to punch holes in the puzzle and added large eyelets and ran my ribbon through to use as a hanger.
Well that is going to be it for me today, still have some chores to do around the house before I have to get ready to go back to work tomorrow. So hope you have enjoyed my flowers for you that have asked how I do it. If you have any questions please EMAIL ME, and I will try to help.
Big Hugs!!
