Seeing our new niece

Last weekend, Jason and I went to visit our new niece, Kaelyn and see our other niece, Karis. It was a very quick trip but well worth it to see those two little cutie pies.

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's that time again! To see what others are loving, hop on over to Jamie's blog HERE.

1. I'm loving that I found out this week that the Pioneer Woman's cooking show will start at the end of August!!! I heart her! We can never get rid of cable now. Ha!

2. I'm loving that Jason and I are going on a date tomorrow night to see Guys and Dolls down at Fair Park.

3. I'm loving that we are helping to throw a birthday party for my nephew this weekend. He's turning 8 years old - where has the time gone?

4. I'm loving that it's only 1 year from today from the 2012 Olympics in London!!! Two great things: London and the Olympics.

5. I'm loving this dress from Target. I tried it on last week and I think I may need to go get it very soon =).

Harry Potter-midnight showing

Last Thursday night (well technically Friday morning), Jason and I went with some friends of ours to go and see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 2 at midnight!! Oh my gosh! We had such a blast! The place was packed -everyone there you know was obsessed with Harry Potter and all dressed up. I felt right at home =).

I made a t-shirt for the movie - yep, I sure did =). The front said Hallows vs. Horcurxes and..

the back said this which is on the graves of James and Lily Potter in Godric's hollow which is also a verse in 1 Corinthians for those who want to know.

We went to Studio Movie Grill which allowed to reserve seats which was awesome. We met our friends around 10:30 at the theater and hung out.

Jason and I with wands. Jason's face perfectly explains his attitude towards all this crazyness.

Me with Harry Potter glasses and a wand. I continued to tell Jason before the movie how much I wanted to go to the Harry Potter theme park for my 30th birthday. So if you see him, could you kindly remind him this is what I want for a present? I know its a year and a half away but I feel like persistence is the key.

The movie was AMAZING!!! By far the best in the series!! Everyone should go and see it. I am kind of sad that it's over and may be suffering from post Potter depression. And if you google it, that diagnosis is on wikipedia which practically makes it official =)

Thanks for the memories Harry!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's time for what I'm loving Wednesday via Jamie. To see what others are loving go HERE!
1. I'm loving this video of our dog that my husband captured this weekend after he had given her a bath. Watch it - you will make you giggle.

2. I'm loving that my friend, Jessica, is getting induced tonight and will be having a baby by sometime tomorrow afternoon. I can't wait to find out what it is!

3. I'm loving that in less than 48 hours I will be sitting in a theater to watch Harry Potter. I'm SO EXCITED! Let's just hope I can stay awake - I haven't been up that late since college.

4. I'm loving that Chick-fil-a has their peach milkshakes available now. You better believe, I will be making a trip over there this weekend to experience this deliciousness.

5. I'm loving that I am taking a photography class this weekend. I can finally learn how to use my fancy schmancy camera and I get to mark something else off my 29 before 29 list.

6. I'm loving that on a random trip to Target on Friday (which seems to happen often) I found that the shoes I had been eyeing were on sale for $9. I snapped up two pairs in two different colors!!

What are you loving? Have a fabulous Wednesday!

Addiction

Hi my name is Elizabeth and I am addicted to Pinterest. They say admitting something is the first step towards recovery. But - I don't know if I want to recover =). I mean, have you tried pinterest?? Whoever thought of it was brilliant. It's a great way to mark things you see on the internet that you want to remember for later and don't want to remember every single website that you need. I can spend HOURS on this website. I mean, HOURS. It's kind of sad actually. Here is some things that I have recently pinned in the last few days:

Um, hello London!!

Very cute for initials!

I kind of want to go camping just so I can try this..yummy!

If you haven't tried Pinterest, let me know and I will send you an invite and if you have, tell me and I can follow you!

2. I'm loving that I just bought tickets to see the final Harry Potter movie for the midnight showing! I am so excited although I am going to be so sad when it's over.

3. I'm loving that we went to the mall near our house and I finally got the dress that I had been

eyeing for a while for 50% off!! It was a good day!

4. I'm loving Prince William and Kate Middleton. I am really sad that I won't be in California while they are here. Last minute road trip anyone? They are just so cute and so in love.

Happy 4th!!!

Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July!!! Ours was very relaxing and we watched fireworks from our balcony. A very low key Independence Day. Maybe next year I'll try some of these things to make it a little more festive but until then, I'll enjoy my time on my couch =):

Celebrate Freedom

Last weekend, Jason and I went to Celebrate Freedom. Celebrate Freedom is a free concert (you only pay $10 for parking) out on Southfork Ranch in Dallas. They have all these Christian artists that come and sing throughout the day and you bring your lawn chairs and blankets and have a good time. It started at 10 but Jason and I didn't get there til 4 because we knew we didn't want to be out in the heat the entire day.

And boy was it HOT!!! I got heat rash the next day because of it, but it was well worth it. We got to see Jason Castro, Big Daddy Weave, Chris Tomlin and Switchfoot.

The stage

Chris Tomlin - I heart him and his music. That hour was a wonderful time of worshipping the Lord.

They ended the night with fireworks on the property. It was so much fun and we are definitely glad that we braved the heat and went. What a great memory!
