What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Here's what I'm Loving on this rainy Wednesday via Jamie

1. I'm loving the rain we got last night and this morning. I love falling asleep to the thunder and rain, and I'm going to enjoy it while I can since it's going to be in the 90's today.

2. I'm loving the little ruffle butts pants I scored off of Babysteals.com this morning. They were over 60% off so I bought two of them in different colors. I think our little girl is going to look so cute in these. How could you not with ruffles on your bum?

3. I'm loving that our crib has been ordered (Thanks to Jason's mom!) and should be here in the next couple of weeks. One more thing to cross off the list.

4. I'm loving that the rest of my family is coming into town this weekend. I love family time!

5. I'm loving this pretty ring. It's way too expensive but it would be nice in a couple of years for a special anniversary present =).

6. I'm loving Friends episodes. I have all the seasons and I will pop in a DVD while I'm doing housework or just want to listen to something. They NEVER get old and I laugh every time!

What are you loving today?

Memorial Day Weekend

I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Jason and I got to relax and enjoy each others company and relish in the extra day. On Saturday morning, Jason and I ran around town to do some errands and then came back home to tackle the room that is to be the nursery.

This is where all the stuff we really didn't have a specific place for and boxes that we didn't want to unpack at the time when we moved. We have made some really good progress with it, but it's not nearly finished. Mainly because we have to figure out a place to put all the stuff in that room. We have come up with some ideas and hoping to get it all done real soon.

Jason took me out on a date on Saturday night. We went to Boston's Pizza because I had been wanting to try it for awhile, and they had a Groupon earlier this week for it so we snatched it up.

Jason has been craving fried pickles the past couple of weeks so we ordered those for our appetizer. They were pretty darn good.

I had pizza made with cheese, artichokes, basil, and sun dried tomatoes all on a whole wheat crust. It was delicious!

After dinner, we went to go see the Avengers. I enjoyed it even though I hadn't seen all the movies of the superheroes in it. Although, I had no clue who the guy with the arrows was until we googled it afterward.

My brother, niece and nephew came into town Sunday night. My nephew is doing intensive therapy for the next 3 weeks so he is staying with us while he does it. I'll be getting my fill of the Disney/Nickelodeon channel for sure =).  Monday we just relaxed and enjoyed the day. Jason and I did try our hand at flower planting. The wedding we went to last weekend gave flower seeds for a party favor so we thought why not?

Jason filling up the pots

Our niece wanted to help so she dug the holes to plant the seeds in.

Hopefully these will grow! A green thumb I do not have so we shall see.

Later that night, Jason grilled hamburgers and hot dogs (I stuck with a veggie burger) and then I watched the Bachelorette while I got my craft on making a diaper wipe case for our little girl. All in all, it was a great weekend and I wish it didn't have to end. Only 4 more days til Friday though!

26 weeks!

How far along: 26 weeks!

Baby size: From head to toe our baby girl is about 15 inches and about 2 pounds. She is still packing on the baby fat. Her taste buds are really developed now and she can tell a difference in the amniotic fluid when I eat something! She is starting to inhale and exhale amniotic fluid and is starting to get hiccups. Hearing is progressing and she can probably hear Jason and I talking.

Maternity: Still a mix - this is pre-pregnancy maxi dress. Another reason I love maxi dresses, although the gapping in the back makes me look a lot larger.

Sleep: Still sleeping pretty good. I am getting up at least once to go to the bathroom but no biggie. My dreams are starting to get weirder. I had a dream that the Brady Bunch family were vampires but they were nice like the Cullens.  Really?!?!

Best Moment this week: We ordered the crib so hopefully it will come in the next couple of weeks. I checked off some things on my to do list to get ready for her which has been nice and I did a little craft project for her (post coming soon)

Movement: Her movements are getting stronger and stronger. My skin actually moves with a lot of them. I just love feeling her inside me. It is the coolest feeling.

Food cravings: I really haven't had anything major this week. I still want fruit all the time. Jason has been having cravings for fried pickles. I guess he's having sympathy cravings =).

What I miss: Nothing really.

What I'm looking forward to: Getting more things ready for her. I am just so excited for her to be here.

Pregnancy symptoms: I'm starting to get heartburn/acid reflux at night after dinner. It's not horrible yet but I know it will probably get worse as I get bigger and she's pushing on my stomach. I'm having to wear my maternity belt more often just because my body is just not use to carrying this belly around and I end up having major abdominal pain if I don't.

Stretch marks: None so far. Still slathering on that lotion every night.

Belly button: Still an innie!

TGIF!!

Thank goodness it's Friday! Can I get an Amen?!?

And an added bonus? We get Monday off!!! (Insert happy dance here)

I don't know about you but this week has been a doozy. All my kids in therapy this week decided it would be the time to act all wild and crazy or stare at me and refuse to do anything. Let me tell ya that was fun. I blame the end of the school year. So I'm excited that I get an extra day of relaxation.

Jason and I aren't doing anything incredibly exciting this weekend. We are cleaning our house and cleaning out the room that is to be the nursery. Other than that, we have nothing planned (we are cool, don't you want to be my friend?) But if I do have time these are some things I would like to do on my long awaited 3 day weekend.

Make these beauties - pineapple, banana and coconut milk. They sound so refreshing.

Get a manicure/pedicure. My feet are in desperate need of some pampering and I think this lovely purple would make me feel special.

Get my craftiness on!

See a movie! I have so many movies on my list that I better get started.

And if I really could hope and dream, I would love to be here:

Gorgeous scenery, cooler weather, a good book and a cup of coffee in my hands.

What are you planning to do this weekend??

25 weeks!

How far along: 25 weeks!

Baby size: Baby girl is the size of an eggplant this week and about a pound and a half. She's starting to get rid of her wrinkly skin and pack on some baby fat. If we could see her hair, we would be able to determine the texture and color.

Maternity: Still a mix. In this picture, shirt is pre pregnancy and pants are maternity.

Sleep: Sleeping pretty well. I'm waking up and having to switch sides just because of achy hips and I'm usually going to the bathroom at least once every night.

Best moment of the week: Strangers are starting to notice that I'm pregnant and make comments. Jason is starting to read to our little girl a couple of nights a week and it's really cute. He also picked on her last night because he kept pushing on my stomach and she would give punches/kicks really fast and she would move and then he would do it again. Sorry little one - this is probably how it will be for the rest of your life =).

Movement: She is still moving lots. She kicked my bladder today and I thought I was going to have an accident!

Food cravings: Still the same as last week. Avocados, chocolate milk, fruit and ice water.

What I miss: My abs! Ha! I'm starting to have use my arms to push up into sitting, get up from the bed etc. They are pretty much non existent right now.

What I'm looking forward to: We're cleaning out the nursery room this weekend! I'm planning on going to Hobby Lobby to get started on some crafts for the nursery.

Pregnancy symptoms: Nothing majorly new this week.

Stretch marks: None so far!

Belly button: Still an innie but it is getting smaller.

Busy Productive Weekend

Jason and I had a fun and productive weekend. We headed out to Austin on Friday night to attend a friend's wedding. It wasn't until Saturday night so on Saturday morning we headed out for some shopping.

We first headed here:

This place gives me anxiety. Why you ask? Because when I want to leave a place I want to be able to leave a place right then, and Ikea doesn't allow you to do that. They want you to go through every piece of their store - even with the shortcuts. It's a brilliant move on their part but not for me. I felt so bad for Jason the first time we went to that store. Here I was about to freak out and he was looking at me like I had gone crazy. Oh well. I braved the store yesterday so we could buy a picture ledge for the nursery. Mission accomplished.

We then headed to the outlet malls in Round Rock and stopped in the Couch outlet store where I got this:

I used the rest of my Christmas and birthday money to get it and I'm so excited. It was marked down and then from that price it was 50% off. I scored a great deal! It's so cute and roomy.

I also bought some new walking/work shoes. I've been needing some new ones for awhile but couldn't find ones for a good price. I found these on sale, and they had them in my size! Yippee!

And I couldn't make a trip without buying something for our little girl. Look at the little flamingo - so cute! The Gymboree outlet was having a great sale and I got this cute little dress for over 50% off. I love good deals!!

We had lunch and then went back to the hotel to rest and then get ready for the wedding. The wedding was at this pretty little venue with a gazebo. They had the ceremony outside but the reception was inside. The wedding was great, and I'm so glad we got to celebrate with them.

Isn't the gazebo pretty?

I loved these little flower balls she had on the aisles. The purple/blue flowers were so pretty. I have no idea what kind they were, but I want them.

We sat by the cake which is very important to this pregnant lady =).

The pretty bride and me. So so happy for them!

My wonderful love and me

We headed back home Sunday morning and unpacked and then headed out to meet the newest little addition to some of our good friends, Crystal and Tommy.

I can't wait for our little girl to play with Miss Taryn in a couple of months. I think they are going to be good friends. My little one was even kicking while I was holding her - I think she was telling her hi!

Overall, we had a great weekend. Now just to make it through this next week to get to a three day weekend! Hope your weekend was great!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Here is what I'm loving on this sunny Wednesday.

Link up here.

1. I'm loving that we registered this weekend for our baby girl. It was very tiring but I had a lot of fun. Plus, I got to park in one these:

That may not be a big deal but after waiting for 2 years for this - it made me smile =).

2. I'm loving that we are headed to Austin this weekend to go to a wedding of one of our friends from grad school. She and I always got into trouble for talking to much in the back of the classroom (shocker -right?)

This was taking 6 years ago - man how time flies!

3. I'm loving that I am making this yummy blueberry banana bread tonight. I'll let you know how it goes. It looks delicious to me!

4. I'm loving that there are ice cream sundaes at work today. One of my co-workers is leaving so we are having them as a good-bye send off to her. I'm sad she's leaving but I'm definitely going to enjoy the ice cream!

5. I'm loving the Once Upon a Time finale this past Sunday. I won't spoil it but it was so good! I can't wait for the second season - September seems like such a far way off!

What are you loving today?

24 weeks!

How far along: 24 weeks!

Baby size: Baby girl is the size of an ear of corn this week. Lungs are developing branches and starting to produce surfactant that will help the lungs expand.

Maternity: A mix - this dress is pre-pregnancy. I'm trying to get the most out of my dresses before they just don't work anymore =).

Sleep: Sleeping pretty well. I'm not sleeping through the night much anymore. I either wake up to go to the bathroom or I need to switch positions. The latter always ends up with me going to the bathroom anyway.

Best moment of this week: We registered this weekend! It was a lot of fun but this pregnant girl was tired afterwards. Celebrating Mother's Day this weekend! Making it to viability week - not that I want our little one to be born this week but if she were - she would have a chance of survival. (But I would rather her stay and cook in there a little longer)

Movement: Her movements are getting stronger. My whole stomach is starting to move with some of them. She is definitely starting to push for prolonged periods more  - I guess she thinks she needs more room.

Food cravings: Chocolate milk and avocados (but not together). Fruit and ice cold water still sound amazing.

What I miss: Nothing really.

What I'm looking forward to: We have a doctor appointment this week so we'll get to hear her heartbeat again.

Pregnancy Symptoms: The abdominal pain is back this week. I think I may have overdid it with all the walking we did on Saturday while registering because my stomach hurt all day yesterday.  I even had to come home from work early today because it was hurting so bad. Also, I had a bad acne breakout this week.

Stretch marks: None so far!

Belly button: Innie but its getting closer to not being one.

23 weeks!

How far along: 23 weeks!

Baby size: Baby girl is the size of a mango (about 11 inches head to toe and just over a pound) She is starting to pick up sounds like our voices and our dog barking. How fun!

Maternity clothes: A mix of both. The outfit in the pic is maternity.

Sleep: Sleeping well. I'm starting to have some crazy weird dreams and 50% of the time I'm waking up at some point to go the bathroom.

Best moment of this week: I bought a lovie in Canton this weekend and got it embroidered with her name on it. I just keep staring at it and can't wait to lay it over her. Some more of her bedding came in too! I got some rubs of my belly from some friends.

Movement: She's still moving! I don't think I could get tired of the movements. I kind of miss it when she isn't kicking/punching.

Food cravings: I was craving chocolate milk the other day when I was pouring regular milk for breakfast. We didn't have any chocolate syrup so I had to drink what I had. It wasn't the same =(.

What I miss: Nothing!

What I'm looking forward to: Jason and I are registering this coming weekend!! Planning her nursery still and I love it.

Pregnancy Symptoms: I'm starting to get hot. I want flowing air on me at all times - feeling stuffy is not great. I'm getting hungry a lot more. I've woken up several times in the middle of the night this week and had to eat some crackers or cheese because I was just so hungry.

Stretch marks: Still none. I'm lathering on that lotion hoping that it works.

Belly button: Innie.

New Friend Day!

I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner today for New Friend Day! I always love making new friends and it would be fun to meet some people in the same area as I am in the blog world.

So a little bit about me:

I've been married to my handsome husband, Jason, for 4 1/2 years and after 2 years of infertility we are expecting our first child in early September 2012. We have a little miniature dachshund named Lucye that we treat as our child.  I love Jesus most importantly, reality TV, reading, shopping, being crafty or at least attempting to, Target and going to the movies.

If you are in the DFW area, leave a comment! I'd love to check our your blog!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's time to link up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday!
1. I'm loving that the 2nd book in the series Divergent came out yesterday. It's going on my Nook today and I can't wait to read it!

2. I'm loving the flowers that Jason brought home to me yesterday for May Day. I'm glad that he indulges me in the little holidays I like to celebrate.

3. I'm loving that I am going to Canton this weekend to do some shopping. Even better I'm meeting one of my college roommates who lives in east Texas to hang out and have some fun.

4. I'm loving the drink dispenser I found at Target this weekend. It has a diffuser in the middle so I can add different fruits and veggies to spice up the water. So excited!!

5. I'm loving that we got part of our little girl's bedding in the mail this weekend. The other parts won't be coming in until June but at least I can match to the pillow =).

6. I'm loving that I got to see one of my great friends at her shower for her little baby girl this weekend. Our little girls are going to be good friends (maybe even college roommates - ha!)

What are you loving today?
