Dear E,
On Sunday, you turned five months old! How has another month come and gone?! You are getting so big and so fun. I love seeing you learn and grow.
This month you have been into grabbing everything! You know what your hands do and you want to explore with them. You reach for my face all the time while you are breastfeeding. I just take the time to tell you what you are touching: my eyes, my chin, my nose...you reach for it all. You also grab mommy and daddy's faces when we sit and hold you. I love it. You grab toys so well and bang them on the tray on your bebePOD. You love to drop them off the side to and then look at them and try to reach for them again. You have quite a grip! You are reaching for toys while on your tummy and are starting to pull the bows off your head. I knew those days of cooperating with bows weren't going to last - hehe. You also have discovered your feet and play with them all the time.

Tummy time is going great. You are pushing up onto your hands and then will push your self backwards. You are starting to pivot around on your stomach to reach for things too. You rolled from your back to your tummy on January 10! You are a rolling fool now. You haven't gone completely crazy but you roll off the play mat I set you on all the time. I know it's just a matter of time before you are rolling yourself all over the floor and baby proofing will commence. You sit for about 5 or so seconds without help before you fall over and you still love sitting in your bebePOD to play.
Your personality is just shining through! You are a pretty happy baby and love to be out and about. You can be fussy in your carseat in the car and the minute we take you out of the car and you realize we are somewhere new you start looking around and just become so happy! You smile at everybody who talks to you. You LOVE your daddy. I think you are a daddy's girl. You smile the minute he comes in the room, and if you hear his voice you start to look for him. I can't have him in the room when I'm feeding you, otherwise you want nothing to do with eating! You still LOVE Taylor Swift. It is the one thing that will calm you down in the car. You definitely recognize her voice. Hopefully one day we can go to one of her concerts together. You are laughing so much - it is one of the sweetest sounds. You also love to "scream". You know you can make your voice loud and you do it often. If you aren't getting attention, you yell louder so we will notice you. You still talk all the time and you have now discovered that putting your lips together and blowing makes spit bubbles. You even have forceful spit bubbles that can get all over the person who is holding you. It's hilarious. You also love the song "My God is so big, so strong and so mighty" and daddy and I sing it to you all the time.
You still love bath time, and you have learned that splashing your legs is really fun. The minute we put you in the bath your legs start kicking away. In the past couple of weeks, you have noticed Lucye and want to reach out and grab her anytime she comes near you. Your grabbing is usually pinching but Lucye is so good and doesn't snap at you. I think that you will be good friends when you get older.
You are down to three naps during the day and go down for bed around 8-8:30. Although you still wake up frequently during the night, we are trying to remedy that. Even with the interrupted sleep, you are still such a happy baby. Your acid reflux has gotten sooo much better and I'm hoping it will soon be a thing of the past. You feed every 3 to 3 1/2 hours during the day with one middle of the night feeding. It has to be completely quiet with no distractions when I feed you or you are done in 5 minutes.
You are wearing 3-6 months and 6 month clothing. I almost cried when I had to box up your 3 month clothes. You weigh 15 pounds and 10 ounces. You wear size 2 diapers when you wear disposables.
You went to church for the first time this month. You came in the service with us and did really well. I hope you always enjoy church and come to know the One who loves you and gave you to us.
E, you are a joy. We love you sweet girl!
Love,
