Whips N Chains Only Piss Me Off

I wrote the tutorial using GIMP

As I no longer use Windows as my OS.

A link to get GIMP is on my right side bar.

Filter used is Wave Tank

or if you so choose can be made as a

non animated tag.

I have both versions posted.

I probably should have re-colored the spots before
adding the white background,but
oh well
hind site is 20/20

The size of your tag should be no larger than 600x600

open the chrome frame and scale it down by percentage

to 80%.open a paper of choice as a layer.

tap inside frame with fuzzy sel. tool,grow by 3

then invert,now on paper add transparency-alpha channel then press delete,select none.

add a main tube duplicate.

drag one copy below frame and hide for now.

repeat fuzzy sel. tool and invert and delete,sel. none

un hide bottom copy and bring to top,erasing off

so she's coming out of frame.

add the cuffs and repeat these same steps.

add a bow of choice, scaling down to fit.

add the spots element and place on bottom.

looks nice on black backgrounds,and there is really

no need to use a mask unless you want it.

Now once all the tag elements are placed, just add your name and copyrights.

if you want it animated,use the settings here

go to filters,wave pool

and hit it.

then save as an animation,that simple

Amore Mio

Make a 550x550 image,add a frame of choice.

add a dark paper and remove over hang with eraser.

add you close up tube,merge these layers visible only.

filters,silk

duplicate layer,and set top to soft light

now just keep adding elements

till your happy.

adding a shadow on each as you go

add your copyright and name then save

Open the blue frame,and a paper of choice.

canvas size,center with 500x500

scale the frame layer by 80% or till it fits

tap inside using fuzzy select tool,sel. grow by 4

on paper layer ...layer transform,add alpha selection then press delete.

drag below frame,set visibility to 67%

add a closeup tube in the same way.

add the studded button duplicate,place as you like.

add girls rock word art,and place on bottom.

add the pink ribbon with heart buckle

add the gemmed star and place over ribbon.

scaling may be needed.

move a copy to bottom under ribbon.

erase off enough to look like it's around ribbon.

add your main tube place below ribbon as well.

covering up the fact of it being a half tube.

add the sparkles over the frame part,and scale to 80%

layers merge visible.

add copyrights and your name,save tag.

Make a new transparent image,600x600

open as layer the swirl frame.

add a close up tube and erase off edges.

add the scene element place on bottom.

add the hat and guitar,place these on each end of

scene element.add the star swirl,and flower.

add your shadowing and a main larger tube.

add copyrights and name,then merge visible and save.

right click on paper,add mask,full black trans.

on main mask layer edit-copy then hide

in layers on paper,far right see a white outlined box,highlight this

edit-paste.

anchor selection.

delete top mask layer.

image merge visible

the i love you element.place the copy of charm on top and below

erase off a portion on top copy and merge visible only those layers.

add a main tube as layer,add a shadow of choice.

add copyright and your name then save.

New Beginnings

Open paper 8,scale layer to 80%

open as layer a mask

have it on top of paper

right click add layer mask

full black transparency

hide original maks layer

image merge visible

delete original mask layer(top)

open as layer,the wire element

open the lace ribbon,place bottom of image

open as layer,frame 3

alpha to selection from layer

invert,press delete on ribbon,select none

open bead spill and rotate 90 degrees right

place below frame layer.

continue adding elements and give them a shadow

of choice.
add your name and copyright and save

Sexy Attitude

Click Tag for original image.

Open the double frame,go to tools /rotate tool

clck layer of frame,and begin to move it left or right

pop up dialog box will appear.

don't click the rotate button

till your happy with how you have it.

add the silver toned element as layer

scale it down by 80%

add a closeup tube as layer

drag below frame and erase off

overhanging.

add arrow element and main tube

duplicate arrow ele.

move one under tube and erase off parts from top copy .

add a paper and mask as layers.

right click,add mask layer

tick second box in mask dialog

add any other elements you wish

add your name and own saying

add copyright and save

Open as layers any template

remove credit layer

image/canvas re-size to 600x600

in layers highlight the bottom rectangle

rght click alpha to selection

invert,open as layers a paper

layers,transparency,add alpha channel

resize/scale layer to 500x500

or scale by percent till happy

press delete on keyboard,select none.

duplicate layer,grab the rotation tool

pull it until happy with loaction.

repeat with copy of rectangle.

up one layer,larger rectangle,rght clck lyrs,alpha to sel.

repeat as before with a paper.

let's begin adding our elements and our favorite tube.

when you have all of your elements arranged,add your main tube.

last add the cd not re scaled as a last layer to bottom.

add your name and copyrights for art.

save your tag.

Smok'n Hot-Funky

Let's go okay?

Open as layer the double frame

duplicate and resize one copy

to 50%

erase off one side of both frame copies

in the larger frame,add as a new layer

a closeup tube of choice.

repeat on smaller frame.

add the butterfly and scattered jewels and a main

tube layer.

add a ribbon or other element over the legs of tube

add a jewel and flower element on each end of ribbon.

and add your effects of choice using psp or gimp

there are tons of filters to use in gimp

possibly more than psp.

so it's quite an adventure!

just play around till your happy with the tag

add your name and copyright and save

Make an image new of 600x600

open as layers the double frame.

erase off the left frame.

open as layers a paper and closeup tube

paste both as new layers.

tap inside frame,selection grow by 4

invert,layer-tube,transform/add alpha layer

and press delete,select none.

add the pile of skulls to left add the main tube

transform layer vertically or if in psp mirror

add the glitter spray

light element and lilly

arrange as you like.

adding your text,

type out as normal

go to the rotate tool and begin moving it

click rotate in pop up.

layer right click add alpha to selection

select grow by 2

add layer

fill with gradient,while holding shift key

this makes it in selection area only

select none

layers merge visible.

add a shadow add the copyrights and save

*Scrapkit of choice - I used a mixture of 4 different kits,can't remember them now
Mask of choice
*Tube of choice - I've used the gorgeous work of Jose Cano which can be earned at GG. See his work

*Font of choice - I've used Bank Gothic .

~♥~Let's Begin~♥~

The basics for this tutorial,are
just a few elements.
Flowers,film frame,mask,
glitter spills,and of course your tubes.
Xero Plugin(free)
Lori's Crown would look awesome on it!
Open your elements,mask,and tubes.
In psp,make a 600x600 transparent image
fill with black to check your tag as you go along.
Copy/paste the film frame if you have one
as a new layer.
grab the wand tool
in psp10 it's 3rd tool on left
tap inside each frame section,while holding the shift key
now press invert on selection from top of psp
under selections/invert
then paste your choice of tube
as new layer...press delete/select none
after you arrange tube over the frame
effects/xero/radience
then porcelain
duplicate this tube layer
adjust/blur/guassion set to 2
set to soft light in layer properties
now merge visible only
on tube and frame layer
make sure black layer is hidden

add a paper of choice
as new layer
load mask from disc
or make it new from image
if mask is open in pspLayers/merge group only
add your flower tube/tubes
image rotate 45 left
if you have a motorcycle tube
add it now
then add your main tube
place her above it
position her so she's sitting close to tank on front
duplicate tube,pull one down below cycle
using the eraser, zoom into your tag close
about 200%
and begin erasing out top part of tube only
that's over the front part of the cycle

size on eraser should be fairly small,so it
doesn't take off too much
once happy with it,zoom back out using mouse
Find a nice blocky or script font
pick a bright color from kit or tube
size 67 depending on your psp and if it acts wonkly like mine with fonts
type out your name.
add a shadow

Add proper copyright info
and unhide black layer to check it.
make sure it's legible
Save your tag as a png

This tutorial assumes you have a basic working ability of psp.

Open the frame of choice from kit
duplicate,close original
select inside,modify/expand by 3
invert
paste the black paper or one of choice as new layer
press delete,then paste your kick ass closeup garvey tube
as a new layer.
repeat the delete,then pull it below the frame layer.
selections none.
effects,xero/radience
settings below

now duplicate it,adjust,blur gaussion at 3
set opacity to 78% and hard light
layers merge visible only
now using the preset rectangle tool
choose a dark and light color from kit
I used a light color for the border,so it shows up on our black background
align center
select inside
modify expand by 1
invert
past a word fill as new layer then press delete on the layer
select none.
repeat this using a different word fill
and erase off the section on right from first word fill
and you have both sides filled with different words
now just add your other elements as you like,this is only a guide,make this tag your own design

Star Crossed

This tutorial was written for those
that have a semi-working knowledge of PaintShop Pro

Supplies Needed
AlienSkin Xenofex
Muras Copies

I am using the awesome work of Keith Garvey,

You must have a license to use his work from MPT.

No Scraps

Only an exclusive element from
Graphic Groupies.

it has to be earned,being an active Member.
Make a 600x250 blank image,fill with a light color from tube
you are going to use.
paste a tube of choice,effects,muras/copies
wallpaper/default
set the opacity to 45%
then merge visible,effects artistic/halftone.

next,paste a closeup tube,duplicate/mirror
effects,xero radience
default settings,or use your own settings.
add another tube layer,normal sized.
drag it below the 2 closeup layers.
effects,xero/porclain-default,only change the top setting.

all done? Let's merge these layers visible only.
Next is your preset shapes tool
I Used a star shape,width set a 2 foreground..color from tube.
background null(closed)
select inside using the wand tool
modify expand by 2
invert,paste tube of choice as new layer
arrange it so the part you want shows
then press delete.
layers merge visible
effects/Alien Skin/Xenofex2 Constellation
repeat 3 times,changing the random seed each time
add a shadow of choice.

Now duplicate,image resize,duplicate again
image resize again by 80% each time.
should end up with 4 copies.
hide all other layers except these stars.
using the mover tool,start spreading them apart slightly
then merge those visible only.
place it to the far left center tag.
duplicate,mirror
and repest the effects/Alien Skin/Xenofex2 Constellation
on both copies.
layers un hide hidden,layers merge visible all
add 4 border,using a color from tube.
and again apply same settings using effects/Alien Skin/Xenofex2 Constellation.
applying 3 times,changing random seed only.
add your copyrights

add border of 3 color same as before
add copyrights and save Be sure your copyright is Legible on tag before closing psp.

Lovey Dovey

Open Gimp,file new

600x600,advanced optios,transparency

open frame 2 from kit,scale layer 60%

find a favorite sone and make a word art using some of it.

I am using Otis Redding's "Lovey Dovey"

open the sb_pmt_lovey-doveygreenery 1.png

place below frame.

open sb_pmt_lovey-doveyribbon 2.png

flip it,scale layer 80%

duplicate,re arrange,move above frame

add your word art and place as you like.

add a closeup tube and pull below frame

use eraser to remove the part not wanting to show

image,merge layers visible only.

add a paper,open as layer

scale if needed.

add a mask as layer,leave it on top of paper

scale paper to 500x500

right click add mask

on mask layer edit copy,then hide

back to paper,should see a box with white border?

go to edit then paste.

then anchor selection.

remove top mask layer.

full black transparency.

layers merge visible

add a shadow of choice add proper copyrights and save as .png

Let's begin!

Open template. Delete the credits. Go to Image>Scale Image and change the width to 700 and the height to 600

begin with the bottom layer on template,
Using the magic wand, click outside
use paper 10 click paper layer in the layer box and choose add alpha channel
select invert,the delete on paper
select none.
repeat using the other papers
add the other elements I have listed above
arrange as you like.

then image transform,rotate all layers right
add a main tube inside stamped frame on template
and add a shadow of 2, 2, 5, black, 80.
Add your name, proper copyright and crop and save

She's a Sinful Angel

Open any paper,load as layer

repeat this with a mask.

Make sure mask is on top over paper.

right click on paper layers,alpha to selection

then add mask

settings below

will appear to go bye bye,but it's still there

highlight mask top layer,edit,copy

then hide

highlight paper layer,box to right of paper actually

then press paste.

anchor the selection at bottom of layers

Image/merge visible

from this point,keep adding elements of choice.

I added the flying heart,word art

and hanging hearts

and erased off the parts showing on outter edges
add your main tube and add the word art over the top,and scale the wa layer by
80 percent
add your name and copyrights and save

Create a 550x550 transparent image

open up a mask as layer

repeat open as layer a paper to apply maks on

with paper active in layers,right click add apha to selection.

then right click again and add mask,pop up shows a dialog box,tick the second one with black option.

it will appear to poof on you.

make top mask layer active,edit copy,then hide layer

active the paper layer,highlight the box next to paper on right

edit paste,voila mask shows up

look in layers,see an arrow? click it,to anchor mask selection.

then select none.and delete top maks layer.

image,merge visible only

add from kit,the chrome ball and bar.

arrange these like I have or use your own way.

add the 2011 element,duplicate,add a shadow or a glow using filters

add a few more elements and arrange as you like.

add your copyright info and name and save -export as a png.

then highlight mask layer,copy,hide layer.

highlight the paper layer,but the white box to right of it

edit,paste.

remove top mask layer.

image,merge visible.

open any frame element,select inside select,grow by 3

invert,paste a closeup as new layer.still inverted,press delete

select none.

add the main tube,and open heart element,

duplicate tube,bring it below heart ele.

strat ereasing off the heart to seem as if tube has her leg inside it.

add a shadow by going to filters,light and shadow.

add the sparlie gems,bring below frame and tube.

add a shadow on main tube.

add your name and copyright and save

This is a very easy tutorial to work

I am using gimp,but can be done in psp as well with minor

adjustments as far as dialog

Let's make a new transparent image,

650x650 alpha color

open as layers a paper and other elements of choice.

you can use the mover tool to arrange them as you like

I used the scribble,wings,

stars,sparkles

and a flower

Let's just scale layer on wings to 67%

if this is still too large just repeat till happy

scale layer on other elements as well

add the effect satin using gimp's scripts in

layer effects.

type out a blue text and run the script

all other layers-elements you can use light and shadow effects,drop shadow

play with the settings.

very fun and easy to do

add your copyrights and save

duplicate repeat scale layer to 95%

image merge visible only

open as layer,paper of choice

place below frame and erase or use the smart

scissors to remove paper over hang

add the gears duplicate,bring one to top

scale it to 56% and place bottom left

add a shadow

add the leaves,use the image rotate tool to place where you like

add the light ray element at top

repeat shadowing of choice
