Spain -Terrorism: Barcelona attack: Van crashes into crowds in Ramblas tourist area

Deranged Radical Islamist Terrorists
A van has ploughed into crowds in the busy Las Ramblas area of central Barcelona in what police are treating as a “terror attack”.

A government official tweeted that 13 people have died and at least 50 have been injured.

Spanish police released a handout with information about and a photograph of Maghrebi Driss Oukabir, who is suspected of renting the van used to run down pedestrians in Las Ramblas.

The self-titled Islamic State group (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the deadly attack through its Amaq news agency.

"Once again a cowardly attack on innocent people by a deranged group of radial Islamist terrorists, whose territory of their self proclaimed "Islamic State" is crumbling away at an ever increasing speed".

"To stay updated on terrorist movements{ check out the SITE Intelligence Group Website ".

"SITE Intelligence Group is a for-profit US Bethesda, Maryland-based company that tracks online activity of white supremacist and jihadist organizations. From 2002 to 2008, SITE Intelligence Group was known as the Search for International Terrorist Entities (SITE) Institute. SITE is led by the Israeli analyst Rita Katz".

Citizen Power: The hunting season is open 24/7 on "persona non-grata", also known as terrorists

The hunting season on Terrorism  is open
H. P. Lovecraft wrote: "Bunch together a group of people deliberately chosen for strong religious feelings, and you have a practical guarantee of dark morbidities expressed in crime, perversion, and insanity ".

Muslims who kill in the name of their religion frequently evade punishment in Western courts by pleading insanity or mental incompetence. Jurors, judges, and forensic psychiatrists are prone to accept the claim that some form of mental incapacity, not religious belief, accounts for "homegrown" jihadist terrorism in North America and Europe.

This state of affairs results from the failure by prosecutors to frame acts of jihadist violence as expressions of faith. This failure to prosecute jihadists vigorously stems from several sources: a deep-rooted, Western reluctance to impugn religion; a cult of political correctness; and culturally naïve wishful thinking.

Viewing jihadists as crazy offers a comfortable conceit for our Western Society that ignores the stark reality that disaffected but sane Muslims are seduced by an ideology that espouses violent hatred of Western civilization.

Jihadism is a supremacist ideology that seeks to bring about the establishment of a global Islamic state and the application of Islamic law, the Shari'a. It relies both on political efforts and on acts of violence against "infidels." According to terrorism specialist Steve Emerson's review of Justice Department statistics,  radical Islamists account for more than 80 percent of all terrorist convictions since the 9/11 attacks

In the past, most jihadist violence was carried out by organized terror networks. Today, however, the most effective means of striking Europe or the US is to convert and radicalize EU and U.S. citizens and residents into carrying out terrorist attacks on their own.

So-called "lone wolf" jihadists are typically radicalized through local, Islamic institutions, including Mosque's and the Internet (chat rooms, blogs, social networking sites, etc.) where religious teaching, propaganda videos, and bomb-making directions are disseminated widely. Some go abroad ( Syria, Iraq)  for further instruction; others simply download a "how-to" manuals.

What ever way one wants to look at it or call these deranged monsters killers they deserve no pardon, no pity- no house arrest, no special status .

They must be treated as  "persona non-grata" and locked up with a minimum sentence of at least 25 years without the possibility of  parole.

In addition Sharia-law must be outlawed in the EU, because it does not have a place in a modern democratic society where men and women are considered equal.

Hunting season is now officially opened on these mentally deranged  derelicts. Please report any suspicious activity to your neighborhood to local police.

In order to destroy this pestilence we have come to know as terrorism, we the citizens must become as Rudyard Kipling wrote \'the backbone of the Army is the noncommissioned man.'

Iraq - ISIS Horror of life under ISIL exposed in recaptured Syrian town of al-Shadadi

The horror of life in Syria under the so-called Islamic State was opened up to the world this week when western journalists visited the northern town of al-Shadadi, recaptured recently by Kurdish-led forces.
One resident pointed out makeshift gallows.

Elsewhere amid the destruction, bombs and explosives are found in the street and in buildings.
Many of the abandoned houses contained bunkers and escape tunnels.

The team from Britain’s Sky News was also shown a hotel said to have been used by the extremists to assault women.

One witness said they risked torture with electric prods for showing too much skin.

Ahead of indirect peace talks due to resume on Monday, the Syrian government has ruled out discussions on a change at the top.

It said it drew a “red line” around President al-Assad’s position.

The Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said the Geneva talks would depend on the opposition’s attitude – but they were deluded if they thought they could take power.

“Our understanding of the transitional period is a move from the existing constitution to another constitution.

And from the existing government into another government that might include other parties,” he said in Damascus.

But among the rebels’ demands are that Assad have no role in any new government.

Turkey: ISIL video threatens Turkey over support for US

ISIL VIDEO
The self-proclaimed Islamic State has released a propaganda video threatening Turkey, describing its president as an “infidel” and a “traitor”.

Euronews has blurred the faces of the men believed to be ISIL militants, who urge Muslims in Turkey to support the extremist group.

The video was uploaded onto a social media website and is believed by Reuters to be genuine.

The militants accuse President Erdogan of opening up Turkish airbases to “crusaders”, allowing the US to “bombard the people of Islam”.

Six F-16 fighter jets arrived at a Turkish base last week and began flying missions against ISIL over Syria.

Middle East: - Syria: ISIL controls more than half of Syria after seizing Palmyra

More than 100 pro-Syrian government fighters have been reported killed as ISIL captured all of the historic city of Palmyra, according to the British-based Syrian observatory for Human rights.

The Islamic extremist group has control of the military airbase, prison and intelligence headquarters, and it has also entered the city’s historic sites, though there are no reports of destruction so far.

The taking of Palmyra means that more than half of Syrian territory is now under ISIL control.

The group already controlled wide tracts of the north and east, though these areas were mostly desert. This is the first time they have seized a large population centre directly from Syrian pro-government forces.

One resident said they had inside help:

Middle East: U.S. won Arab support for airstrikes, but challenges remain - no ground forces will be suupplied - by Laura King

It was a telling contrast: a high-profile shout-out Tuesday from President Obama to Arab allies who joined in U.S.-led airstrikes against Sunni Muslim militants in Syria – coupled with cautious, distancing and sometimes belated statements from the Arab states involved.

The sharply different public postures suggested that the Obama administration still faces an uphill fight to galvanize regional allies for a long offensive against Islamic State, whose fighters have seized an arc of territory in Syria and Iraq, enforcing its rule with crucifixions and beheadings and forcing tens of thousand of civilians to flee.

“This is not America’s fight alone,” Obama declared Tuesday, listing a roll call of Arab states that had taken part in the initial airstrikes: Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar. The United States, the president asserted, was “proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder” with these allies.

But for a variety of reasons, analysts say, most Arab states are reluctant to take on overtly visible roles in a U.S.-led military coalition. Some fear direct retaliation by Islamic State. Others worry about inflaming their own homegrown extremists, or do not want to act in ways that will advance the agenda of their regional rivals, particularly as concerns the combustible divide between Sunni and Shiite Muslims.

And if the American-led campaign escalates to a ground battle, Arab states are almost certain to step back, said Egyptian analyst Gamal Sultan.
