Someday I promise I will send out Christmas cards but for now an update will have to do!
Brannon is on his plastics rotation which means he is in the OR more however the hospital let too many people take the holidays off and well, basically he is covering for 3 services instead of one. Boo. We got a new car once the condo was officially sold (YEAH!) and even though I do the majority of its driving, Cap-i-ton, deserves to be mentioned in Brannon's paragraph because he loves it so much. Seriously, he has waxed it 3 times!!! Unfortunately a week after we got it, Rio spilled his bottle on the floor and we didn't find it for a few days. The car reeked of sour milk we treated it with vinegar, now it reeks of vinegar but the smell is gradually going away. Bro is also in his yearly snow frenzy, checking the weather report in Washington (yes, I said Washington) frequently. He doesn't get much time off but when he does we try to get out and about and do something fun as a family. He's really looking forward to our Seattle vacation in January and I am too!
I am still loving California and I really feel like this is home now. I am the secretary in Young Women's organization for our church and I love it!!! The presidency is full of fantastic women and the girls are fabulous, I get to to teach every once in a while and it has really boosted my spirit! I am slowly coming to terms that if I don't do the household chores they don't get done (I MISS my BRANNON), so I am slowly improving my skills although most of the time you wouldn't be able to tell (my kids are very skilled mess makers :) I'm getting on a decorating kick, I LOVE decorating and have embarked on a few projects which I have been very happy with, most of them being art because I'm not willing to pay money for something I can make myself. Eventually I will post a few of my feats. Also since selling our condo Bro and I have been able to go on a few dates and I can't tell you how happy it makes me! Its divine! We have a wonderful girl, Cierra, in our ward who has been babysitting for us. She even sits with me during church when Brannon is working (which is most Sundays)- she is heaven sent! I have been baking like crazy- tis the season- and enjoy every minute of it when Rio isn't competing for my attention on the kitchen floor.
Belize is just a sweetie pie of a 3 year old! She loves to make up songs, I finally caught one on video and asks LOTS of questions. Mostly, "Then what will happen?". Today she said, "On Wednesday when I grow up I want to be a teacher and Santa Claus." She still loves to dance and has become my baking buddy and gladly helps me in the kitchen. She loves puzzles, reading, and playing computer games. She has started to write some letters. She continues to be a great big sister although has been known to slam a head in the wall now and then. Lately she's been having some pretty terrific "freak outs" and by terrific, I mean seriously irritating. But mostly she's a fun and energetic little girl! I love to hear her and Rio making each other crack up!
Rio is 14 months old. He's starting to say new words but most of them sound like dada. He says, "all done" and "thank you" but they both come out, "dada". He understands more of what we're saying. For example if you tell him to get his ball or find Belize he'll do it. Since being sick, he's been a lot more clingy to his mama and refuses to be in a room alone for more than a minute. He loves to run, brush his teeth and copy what Belize is doing. He loves milk. Period.
Our "new" 2005 Honda Pilot. It's an 8 seater!
Yes, Brannon took him in the snow while we were at Mt. Baldy (an hour outside LA). The car did great. And Brannon was beaming.

They have all these cool indian forts at the Mt. Baldy visitors center. Rio threw up in the car on the way home but what's a road trip without a little puke? Huh, Dad?
