A Michelle Visit!!!!

Michelle came to visit again, this time the kids weren't sick- yeah! But the weather was less than cooperating so she's just going to have to come back so she can soak up some beach weather- so there!

Bro took the kids so we could go on Indiana Jones!

Michelle, what ride were we on in this picture? Belize looks scared out of her mind. hahaha

We loved having you Michelle, please come back soon! I'm missing my brie (pasturized) and bubbly lunch date!

Baby-O

If I didn't have kids not only would I not have an excuse for a messy house but it would be empty and I would be too.

Probably around February, I began to feel like someone was looking over my shoulder. Someone far off but present . . . waiting and little. Funny how one day you feel like you cannot possibly offer anymore love, patience, sacrifice, or physical exertion, and the next feel like someone is missing. My family, so perfect -Dad, Mom, Girl, Boy suddenly incomplete.

I started voicing my feelings to Brannon, to which I received these resounding answers.
1) Next year is my worst year, I will always be gone.
2) I won't be able to support you and help out after the birth when you need it most (meaning, neither he nor I could handle a repeat of the postpartum depression after Belize).
3) I'm not getting THAT big of a raise.
4) I need to sleep sometime!

True. True to all of those. Now is not a good time for pregnancy or a new baby. But . . . I couldn't shake the feeling that even though we knew we would eventually add to our family that this baby was waiting now.

Around my birthday, I told Brannon I wan't to go to the temple. I needed an answer, an answer that it was time and that Brannon would get the same answer. Well, folks, it didn't happen. After the temple session, I felt defeated, I cried. Brannon said he felt good (not in a jabbing sort of way, in a comforting, its going to be okay way). This was definitely not what I was expecting. It took about a day until I felt at peace with it, it was going to be okay. I remembered who was in charge and I'm grateful that He is.

About 2 weeks later, I put two and two together of some symptoms I'd been having. The pregnancy test confirmed, I was 5 weeks pregnant. I said a quick prayer and then told Brannon. Then we laughed for 15 minutes. I love my husband. He is a truly choice man. He said, it was going to be okay and that the Lord has a funny sense of humor.

When I told Belize a few weeks later, she said, "I have a baby in my tummy too, and I will name her, Sandwich pickle!" She thinks it will be a girl.
Rio lifts up my shirt, pokes my belly button and says, "Baby!" They both give the baby good kisses!

We're not really sure what this intern year will bring (aside from a baby) but I know its going to be good! Belize keeps asking for this song to be played in the car (OVER and OVER again!), its called, "Baby-O". I sing it all the time in my head and it goes,

"What'll I do with a baby? Oh, what'll I do with a baby? Oh, what'll I do with a baby? Oh, love you love you love you, oh!" That's how I feel- excited!

Feet kisses

Tonight I was rubbing Brannon's feet. Belize bent over and gave them a kiss (on the bottom- ewwww!).

Me: "I'm rubbing Dad's feet to make them feel better."
Belize: "I'm kissing Dad's feet to make them feel better."
Belize kisses his foot again.
Belize: "Now they are in LOOOVE."

Most of April- WARNING: Picture overload!

Belize and Rio love to have picnics! They play so well together now, I'm loving it!
Come on, this has got to be some kindof "Man of your dreams" poster! Hot guy, blanket on the beach, bottle of Martinellis, too bad, he's already taken!
This is my new friend, Angie and even though we had never met, she and her husband came from Virginia and stayed with us for a few days. It was so much fun! Her husband is also going to be in the Ortho program at UCLA-Harbor and they are moving down here in June. Did I mention that the Nielsens also have 2 kids, the same age as ours? What are the odds?!!!

I turned 27. No, I don't want to talk about it. But I did have a wonderful birthday thanks to my sweetheart!
Some Belize pics.
Brannon! Did you know he was doing this? What was he doing?

The look only a mother can have. I was meaning to save this for a post describing the utter frustration and desperation of motherhood but I'll just have to repost it - multiple times. Great work, capturing the moment, Belize!
No idea why, but I love this picture- that's my boy in a wife-beater (is there a more P.C. term for this yet?) in public.

Brannon had a day off and last minute wanted to go camping. Well, it turns out you have to make reservations a little more than a few hours in advance so we set up the tent in the living room and watched Kung Fu panda until Belize fell asleep. Then we had cinnamon rolls the next morning- yum!

Laundry day.

The last of March

I found these gems on the camera, taken by my favorite photographer, Belize! If you can't tell Rio has just empty the contents of our catch-all basket.

Brannon had a day off so we packed a lunch and headed to the Long Beach Aquarium.

Yes, that is a real seal, right on the other side of the glass. He was playing with Rio and giving him high fives.
The best looking attraction. ;)
This is one of my favorite shots!
I'm really trying to get caught up on my blogging pics so bare with me!
