November Wrap-up
November ended with making some wonderful memories. Mayan makes a new face now, she likes to purse her lips. She's found her hands and likes to look at them and reach to touch toys. Her torticollis is less noticeable although she still favors turning left (we are working on becoming an "ambi-turner). She gives the best whole-body smiles when I reach inside the crib after nighttime or a nap, I'm going to try and get it on video. She is still sleeping 10 hours a night. Not many smiling pictures because everytime I whip out the camera, she becomes more interested in the camera. Still no repeats on the giggle.
We trekked up to our "other paradise" (cause you all know that ACTUAL paradise involves heat, palm trees and an ocean breeze), Mt. Baldy for a snow "hike", the kids didn't even make it half a mile, so now they are Anti-hike. but we did have a fun time making snow angels, throwing snowballs, and skidding on our knees.
For Thanksgiving we headed to St. George, Utah. We mooched off of the Olsens Thanksgiving Feast (Belize had a grand time playing with Ashley Olsen (mostly "war") and then hung out with the Hurricane Gregg clan. We had fun with Tavin and Traysen at the sand dunes. We went swimming, Black friday shopping and had a terrible family breakfast (picture a restaurant, both children melting down and bad food).

Belize 5 year old Interview and the rest of her birthday.
So how does it feel to be five?
A little bit this. (holds up a thumbs down)
What kinds of things can you do now that you’re five that you couldn’t do when you were littler?
I don't know.
What is your favorite color?
Purple and black.
What is your favorite food?
Salmon and zucchini
What is your least favorite food?
Um, tomato soup.
What is your favorite book?
Ariel.
What is your favorite toy?
Ariel (the doll).
Do you have any friends? Who are they?
Yes, Brighton and Zara and some of my babysitters are my friends too. Cierra (babysitter), Jaime (babysitter), Max, and Naya. And Nala and Ziggy and Lobo (Seattle dogs).
What is your favorite thing to do?
Have playdates with all my friends.
What is your favorite thing about yourself?
That I'm 5.
What is your favorite thing to do outside?
Play tag and hide and seek. I think. Oh, and blow bubbles.
Where is your favorite place to go?
Seattle and Utah.
What do you want to do for a job when you grow up?
Just be a regular mom- just do what moms do.
What do moms' do?
Help their kids.
Where do you want to live when you grow up?
Help their kids.
Where do you want to live when you grow up?
I don't know. Seattle.
Do you think you’ll get married when you grow up? Who do you think you’ll marry?
No. Lucah.
How old will you be when you get married?
Uh, 60, maybe.
Where do babies come from?
Somewhere in mamas' tummies, there is kind of a hole near their pee pee and the babies come out there (Hope no one just read that who wasn't already informed). After her school Thanksgiving feast, and her birthday party, we headed off to Disneyland and partied into the night (she is so spoiled and got WAY tired).
One of the kids favorite ride is the Toy Story shooting game at California Adventure.
Then the next morning we ate our traditional breakfast at the Pancake house to celebrate Rio and Belize's birthdays.
Playing with some new polly pockets waiting for apple pancakes.THEN she had another birthday party to attend, the soccer party and her last soccer game of the season. Now, I'm not very good at soccer lingo but I think she was an awesome scorer, defender and goal keeper. It'll be interesting to see which position she ends up playing. Pretty much, she rocks at soccer and its fun to watch her run down the field with a smile on her face because she's having so much fun. Note: I do not like putting on shin guards! Even when drenched with lotion, Belize still throws a fit that they itch. Hopefully she will outgrow that.
Is there anything you’re afraid of?
I'm afraid of one-eyed monsters. I'm afraid of when mom and dad sneak up on me. And I'm afraid of everything in the whole wide world except Unicorns and princesses. I'm just kidding, I love Disneyland.
Is there anything else you'd like to say in this interview?
Cough. Cough. That's what I'd like to say.

Birthday party details!
This was Belize's first birthday party with friends. She got to choose 5 friends and she chose a unicorn rainbow theme.
I used Belize's old t-shirts to make a flag garland.
Rio, Cheznie, Belize, Brighton, Wrigley, Kalenna, Lilly and Zara (who was running around somewhere else at the time).
My 5 year old is bright, bubbly, friendly, outgoing, endearing, loving, and caring. My 5 year old is a great big sister, daughter and friend. She is always herself. She loves school, soccer, playing computer games, playing American girl dolls with Brighton, and helping take care of her siblings. She remembers things like an elephant and has just started to really get into reading. She is a joy to have around and I love to see her smiling face every day!
