Little Miss Graduate

Belize graduated preschool!!! The first thing she said was, "Am I a kindergartner now?". First up was pajama day at school with smoothies and waffles, then graduation that evening.

Rio really wanted to graduate too.

Sorry, I cut off the last word, my battery was dying- Miss Joan said that Belize is a very wise girl.
Miss Joan has been a really wonderful teacher, we will miss her until Rio joins her class. :)
Brighton and Belize
Miss Joan wrote little poems for each of the kids-

Bright
Energetic
Lively
Imaginative
Zesty
Entertaining

Her preschool favorite was playing with friends and her future goals are, "lots of ideas, not sure yet".

Brannon and I headed to an evening in downtown Seattle and the kids headed over to Nana and Grandpa's.Nana made sure to bring back lots of treasures from their latest adventures. This headpiece was from Egypt. Mom, did this come back with us or stay at your house?
O these kids are way too spoiled! These red flyer trikes were waiting for them.
Although the plasma car is still the favorite.

(I HAD to put this video in too because of my Dad's laugh at the end- it's kindof the best laugh in the world)

Then we went to our old stomping grounds of the Woodland Park zoo. The kids LOVED it! We met up with Seth, Kathy, Colton, and baby bump Bingham/Perrins. They fit into the friends for life category.
Aren't they cute together (the bumps?)

To market, to market

We returned to the Orton house . . . . and played with Nala more . . . a lot more. She is positively better than any toy Santa's elves could muster. Then we headed to Pike's.

One of Belize's favorite things to do is go to the market to buy fish with Buelo.
Of course, Brannon had to make a pit stop at the comic store.

Understatement: Rio loves corn dogs.

The crew: Belize, Rio, Buela, Tia Xochi and Brannon.

Rio giving his Buela some flowers and lovin'.

I asked the kids to love on each other:

The ferry ride home

Someday my prince will come

Belize and I are talking about how much we like Dad.

Me: Maybe someday you can marry someone like your Dad.
B: There is no one else like Dad.
Pause.
B: Well, maybe the boys you used to date, or one of the young men. Maybe Shane (Myers, 18, in our ward)- he's my friend.

Later . . .

B: Maybe I can just marry Rio.
Me: Well, you can't really marry your brother.
B: But he won't even look the same.
Me: Brother and sisters just don't marry.
B: But he's sweet. I'm MARRYING Rio.

Bald Eagles/Beach critters/Garcias

Rio decided he did NOT want to get his feet wet, so he went from one adult to the next saying, "Lit me up".

Belize ended up carrying around 2 gobs of mud that had a crab in them.

Who wears short shorts?

The guys were giddy about their fire roasted oysters, I HEAR they were delicious. ;)
