Palm Springs- Mades

A couple days after we got back from Seattle, our good friends the Mades came into town for a couple nights.  My kids are in love with their kids.  Then we met them out at Anessa's parents' place in Palm Springs.
We visited The Living Desert zoo, it was charming!  Addison was Rio's little buddy and they hammed around, when Rio wasn't having a meltdown (those are happening daily now).

 Anessa and Miss Peyton.

We love our friends so much!  We laughed, took care of our ninos and Brannon and Paul tried to sneakily "help" Doug with Skyrim.  Can't wait to see you guys again!
Love.  This.  Picture.

Trips to the steam engine store and the dollar store ensued.
The "Good deed machine" worked its magic for a little while.
3 chubby babies in a diaper extravaganza- Keaton, Mayan and Kora.
 This pictures makes me laugh.
 And grin.
Sarah's boyfriend, Sheldon in all his glory.
Can ya tell these two are sisters?
 Angelic.
Mayan tried out Carissa's new couch in her brand new place- as Brannon and I sighed with wanting.
Belize and I went on a daughter date to Cupcake Royale and the pet store.
 We got our stache on.
 Meet the newest Mades- Peyton!!!
And the newest Orton- Lobo!!!

And Mari and Belize cutting a rug.

And finally we have Christmas!  Saturday we celebrated Christmas at the Ortons with an amazing dinner and lots and lots of gifts!

 Cousin Ana came too!!!!!!

The we hopped over to the Christmas Eve party at Grandpa and Grandma Hawkins'.
 Mayan was baby Jesus.

At first Belize refused to have anything to do with the play but then changed her mind once I explained it wasn't a "talking" play and became an Angel.  Unfortunately there was no sheep costume so Rio cried on Nana's lap - still he made it to the stage so- SUCESS!  Belize and I also graced everyone with a rousing song of "Hanukkah" for the talent portion.
New Year's Eve started very uneventful, the kids went to bed at a regular time, Brannon and I celebrated by watching a forgettable movie on TV and then the fireworks on the local station at midnight.  12:10, Rio stirred us by the wonderful sounds of hurling that rang through the night and into the new year.  It touched all of our stomachs except for little Mayan's- Happy New Year!!   And when all the festivities were done, we tiredly made our way back to LA and were welcomed by sunshine!!!

Oh and this crazy girl came with us too- Rapunzel.
