Better than Nothing..

Salam..

I know its been so long that i didnt update this sweet bloggie of mine.. I was so very busy with things.. Never thought that, it takes me months to update my own bloggie.. Shhhh..

Many things happened since the last time i updated this blog.. Jumped from one job to the other and am glad that the new job suits me very well.. Really hope that this wont turns me into an old guy..

Many people asked me, for the reason why i quit to work with the BSP for the new job.. Hmmm.. I cant really answer that simple question.. May be.. Just May be, i myself wasnt sure of the reason(s) my self..

I still remember, got the offer few days before this year's Ramadhan ended.. I know that i really wanted to take the new job.. But, back then before i accept the offer, i did ask my best friends on their opinion whether to leave BSP or not.. The responses that i've received from them were 50-50.. Some discouraged me and the other some told me that i should give the new job a try.. Was really confused that time.. And i hate being confused..

It took me nights to come with my conclusion, to give up BSP for the new job.. Then mid October 2009, i made up my mind to attend the medical check-up and later accepted the offer.. This is a big decision that i've had to make..

Financial-wise, i must say that i can only get what i've earned from BSP, after years of working.. BSP offers was way better.. But, career-wise i think am making the right decision.. The new job offers more perks.. Chewah~

Whatsoever it is am up to the challenges.. Bring it on!!

Nuryn's Car Crashed..

Hey ya, its been so long that i didnt update this lil bloggie of mine.. thing for sure, am missing all these.. owh, tomorrow will definitely the first day of Ramadhan for us here in Brunei.. am kinda glad that the moon wasnt cited yesterday, as my housemates and i were organizing a warmhouse BBQ party.. It was a huge success, for a newbies and last minute planned event.. ehehehe..

Earlier this week, Nurin got herself involved in an accident at the Lumut U-turn Highway.. it happened so early in the morning, on her way down to our workplace.. it was a self-accident actually.. the car was crashed.. it could have been worst, luckily Nurin was wearing the safety-belt.. yeah it safe life.. hahahaha..

There were the three of us (the housemates) to support her.. we went to the police station and then out for a short breakfast at KK.Koya.. I was given a day off that day, to accompany Nuryn at home..

My 1st Article for The Brunei Times..

Hey my dear blog-readers.. Urm, am so not active in producing any good materials this lately.. Truly speaking, my life is getting very challenging.. So i really need to prioritize things in life..

I wasn't supposed to work in the weekend.. But last week, i was assigned to this one event.. Assigned to represent The Brunei Times, to cover the event..

Initially, i was quite reluctant to agree but knowing that the event that i need to cover is the 'Concerts @ The Playground" at Jerudong Park Mini-Amphitheatre, i immediately accepted the assignment..

Am a big fan of ZulF.. I just couldn't afford to miss this opportunity to go and see him.. Well, its not the first time tho.. Hahaha.. Below is my drafted version of the article..

In line with the rebranding of The Jerudong Park Playground as a family oriented theme park, The Jerudong Park Country Club organised a ‘School Holiday Family Entertainment’ entitled ‘Concerts @ The Playground’.

About 100 people attended the concert which was held at The Jerudong Park Mini-Amphitheatre, in conjunction with the first term school holidays. With the objective to strengthen the family bonds and friendship, the concert at the same time give opportunity for local artistes to expose themselves to the general public.

The concert began with the performance by our local band, Atmosphere Band. Their performance was interesting and the showmanship was immense.

ZulF then entered the stage to loud cheers and started with a melodious medley of his popular love songs from Chantik, Dari Mata and Kau Adalah Cinta. He also sang Terima Kasih Cinta, a song originally sang by the Indonesian singer, Afgan. ZulF has a great stage presence and charisma in his singing.

This followed by the appearance of the beautiful singer, Maria. She sang two songs, Waktu and Jangan Ada Segi Tiga. Her performance was effortlessly superb.

RTB Most Popular Singers, ZulF and Maria singing "Hanya Memuji".

The main highlight of the concert was the outstanding duet performance by both ZulF and Maria, singing a famous local hits entitled ’24 Hours’.

The concert lasted for almost 2 hours. Present to watch the concert was the General Manager of The Jerudong Park and Country Club, Russell Finney.

Weight Management~

Today, at the office we've actually have some sort of gloomy day.. The room was dark.. Everyone felt so lazy but busy chit-chatting.. We talked about so many things.. From 'something' to ''nothing'..

Then there is this one colleague of mine, she was saying that she've gained some carbs this lately.. Gosh!! She doesn't look like she is gaining those carbs actually.. May be, its just her woman side of life.. Woman with insecurities about their looks.. Hahahaha..

Guess what??

She google it out on how to lose some weight.. Then she emailed those article to us, and that includes me.. Gosh!!

Lose Weight in 5 Days

1. Eat a big breakfast

I prefer you'd eat eggs, but if not, just eat a big breakfast anyway. Researchers have proven that those who eat a big breakfast and follow it up with smaller meals for the rest of the day lose a lot more weight than people who either skip breakfast or eat a light breakfast.

2. Eat an apples before your meals and a banana after your meals

This allows you to eat your comfort foods so you don't feel deprived. However, the apples and bananas crowd out how much of the foods you eat. You'll eat less.

This is an easy way to diet since you can still eat the foods you're use to. You don't even have to try eating less of them. The apples and bananas will do that for you.

3. Do deep breathing for 5 minutes a day

It's been shown that deep breathing helps with weight loss due to the added oxygen intake from taking bigger breaths. Why? Well, because oxygen is the enemy to body fat. The more oxygen you get into your body, the more fat gets burned off through oxidation.

This is the very first time Sham joined us for lunch.. General info, please don't let Sham and me together.. We fight almost most of the time.. Hahaha.. Fight in a good way though.. He's annoying yet is fun to be with..

ITB Career Dialogue..

Today, i woke up very early.. Well its a sleepless night actually.. Get ready for the ITB Career Dialogue 2009.. There were 38 booths altogether.. Sounds like, its going to be the biggest career dialogue ever organized by the instituition..

Getting ready to be fetched by Qmah that morning.. Planned to drive myself actually but rather to make the story short, i wont mention it here.. Hahahaha.. :P

Okay, it wasnt big as in big.. The same old things.. The same old explainations with extra updates of course.. Hahahaha.. Nothing much that fancy me.. Except the idea to work with one of the Shell subsidiaries.. Be it the first choice of mine, the Brunei Shell Petroleum or the two that i dont really fancy of the Brunei Shell Marketing and the Brunei LNG.. Hahahaha.. I wanna embark myself on a well paid job..

Well, i strongly believe that, "when u work extra, play extra and of course eat extra".. Hahahaha..

Stayed at ITB til lunch and went to Gerai Anggrek Puteh at Anggrek.. Wanted to have our lunch at the The Mall, Gadong but there were no electricity supply.. :( There were Hanna, Schiz, Moncel, Myza, Jamz, Manis and of course me.. Hahahaha..

Then after the lunch, we went to deliver a cake to HSBC, Jerudong.. The number one customer of the extremely-delicious-kek-batik.. Nyummy.. Its cheap though.. $15.. Wanted to place an order? Just do let me know.. Ehehehe..

Then we sent Hanna home at Panchor.. Then went to meet the people from HRD.. Jamz planning to further her studies.. Owh btw, i slept on the journey back from Tutong to Bandar.. Having a long sleepless night, i really need that sleep.. Thanks..

Beyond Expectation..

Pagi tadi i ada Information System test.. The topic memanglah payah.. But after buat individual revision last night kira okay jua lah.. Ready jua sikit for the test tdi.. Except the theory bits of the topic..

The theory byk i skipped.. The lecturer jarang kan bagi theory questions wa.. Klau ada pun very simple.. But dh test tdi atu kn ngusut jua sikit.. Its beyond my expectation.. At least.. Too many question..

Tension!!

But its ok.. What past is past.. Let it be.. Its the last assesment for that unit.. I could easily get a strong Merit if am able to get at least a Merit for the last test.. Hope that am good enough for that..

Its coming towards the end of the semester.. Few weeks left before, the final exam..

My So-called Students~

Okay, here is the updates of my life.. Today got lecture starts on 8am.. Was there on time.. Cant be late for the class, otherwise.. yeah u guys know whats the consequences of being late for the class.. Ehehehe.. My class ended almost 11..

Then stayed and chit-chatted with Ka Sofie till half 12pm, on which i have to pick my mum from her teaching place.. Yeah, sent her home and make a quick stop at Warung Zura for ABC..

Went back for my afternoon class.. The class was meant to be short but again Mr. Jeff's made it very plain to most of us.. It was the review session of our presentation.. Overall, he was delighted with our performance.. At least, it impressed him too.. Ehehehe.. The not so good about the review session was the fact that some of his commentary review was a lil bit one sided.. Who's to be blame?

I must say that it was a boring class.. Schiz, was immediately fall doze off.. Ehehehe.. Then the class ended almost 4pm.. Further chit-chat with the babes at the parking lot till the time that Schiz and Qmah need to make their move to the Berakas Forest Reserve.. Am not joining me coz was heading to different direction..

Promised to convoy with 'si msg' around 5pm.. We went out for an early dinner together.. Thanks for the treats..

In the evening, i have to give a tuition class to some kids.. The kids arent that naughty.. Am loving them straightaway.. Its my third class teaching them.. The class ended at 9.30pm.. Will be having them again next week..

Owh, just to update people.. Now, am back to my teaching profession.. Being in this profession since my upper six days.. Thanks for the offer..

Business Minded..

Tuesday.. Got an early text message from the sender.. Thanks..

Got lectures and some tutorials.. It wasnt a bad day.. The new lecturer is so boring.. I kinda dont like him.. But yeah who cares.. I keep on exchanging text message with the sender.. Owh, i better rename the sender.. From now on i'll refer the sender as 'si msg'..

Nowadays, everyone is becoming very business minded.. So is Myza.. She is doing her manik-ing part-time business.. She've been doing this business on as per request basis.. Her work is of a good quality too.. Well done.. She charge the baju at a very moderate price.. Please have a try..

Then right before the lunch time, I joined Myza, Hanna and Qmah out.. Myza wanted to buy more manik.. I didnt follow her at the shop.. I waited for them in the car only.. Ehehehe..

Then we went straight to Soto Rindu at The Giant.. Schiz and Moncel waited for us there.. There were lot of people.. Ofcourse, it was kinda full of the new intakes of UBD and ITB.. Whahaha.. The so-called junior.. Sometimes i found them a lil bit annoying though.. :P

Oh back to our lunching session, I didnt order any food again.. I dont feel like eating.. I ordered the Horlick.. Yummy!! Am loving it.. "Horlick kaw satu!!"

So yeah, in the afternoon got this Information System tutorial and guess what, we made the tutor nervous.. Whahaha.. Miss, dont worry.. We still love you.. Ehehehe.. *kiyut*

Right after my tutorial ended, i went straight to the Hospital again.. Gave my babu a visit.. Stayed for awhile.. Chit-chat with my cousins and went out with the cousins for a tea-session.. I ordered cucur pisang.. Ehehehe.. Banana Fritters..

Skiping Class..

Sunday, i woke up a lil bit late.. No!! It wasnt a lil bit late but was very late.. Woke up at 11am.. After having my shower then i had my so-called lunch at home.. But i didnt eat.. I dont know why.. I loss my apetite.. Maybe..

Urm, that afternoon i have to give a tutoring class to some Form 5 students.. There were 13 of them.. Some from STPRI, some from SUAMRIPAD, and a boy from Menglait.. Ehehehe.. It was a fine day for me..

From this week onward, i'll be very busy with my classes.. Alhamdulillah for those tutoring offer given to me.. At least i can get extra income for the upcoming trip to Singapore.. Ehehehe.. Insya-Allah..

So yeah my class ended around 6pm.. Its a 2 hours tutoring lesson btw..

In actual fact, that particular time i wasnt feel good.. Got this fever-ish feeling.. Then, i went straight to my home.. My mum called me to join them having the dinner together yet i refused to join.. Again, i dont feel like eating..

In the night, around 11pm i went to the RIPAS Hospital and yes i got the fever.. Requested for an MC from the doctor too.. Just in case i wasnt feel good that Monday Morning..

So on Monday, i didnt turn up for my lecture.. I shouldnt do it.. That unit is very hard.. I shouldnt skip the lecture.. But yeah.. I'll try to do the catching.. I promise..

That afternoon, i was supposed to have a presentation rehearsal with Mr. Jeff.. But my group did quite well i heard.. There few things to be polished ofcourse.. Good Luck!!

Afternoon, went to the RIPAS Hospital with my mum to visit my Babu (grandma on my mum's side).. Babu was has to undergo an operation that day.. Alhamdullilah, it went alright..

My mum wanted to have a late lunch outside and we went to Singapore Chicken Rice but i didnt order anything but the chix roll.. Urm.. What happened to me? Its ok.. Its for the better me, i think..

Me helping the friend..

I have made up my mind to help my friend.. And the experience teaching small kids really fun.. Am loving it.. Whahaha.. Kids can easily love me.. True!!

So here is the short movie.. I know i should teach them and not playing with my built-in camera phone.. Ehehehe.. Love all the kids.. Well, this movie was taken during the second class.. There were 5 of them only but only 4 can be seen in this video [afternoon session]..

Simply Shaz..

Tadi Hanna, Dieja dan saya telah bersepakat untuk mencuba sebuah restoran yang baru sahaja dibuka awal bulan ini.. Sebenarnya, sudah lama saya berkeinginan untuk merasakan sendiri sajian yang ditawarkan oleh restoran tersebut..

Banyak juga cerita-cerita mengenai restoran tersebut dan kesemuanya menyatakan bahawa restoran tersebut menawarkan sajian nasi lemak yang amat menyelerakan.. Apabila melihat perubahan yang telah dilakukan oleh pemilik restoran tersebut, saya berpendapat bahawa ia merupakan sebuah tempat yang nampak berbaloi untuk dicuba.. Kecenderungan untuk mencuba restoran tersebut juga disebabkan ingin memberikan sokongan kepada pemilik blog yang sering saya kunjungi iaitu pasangan Ramzi dan Naima.. "beh, ambilkan tu"..

Bahkan teman blog saya, Marriz juga sudah sering kali menyarankan saya untuk mencuba sendiri keenakkan nasi lemak di restoran tersebut..

Baiklah, kira-kira jam 8.15 malam kami memulakan langkah pertama ke restoran tersebut.. Langkah demi langkah diteruskan dan pencarian tersebut tidak mengambil masa yang lama.. Ehehehe (saja kn buat suspen)..

Semasa melabuhkan punggung ke kerusi yang disediakan, segera kehadiran kami disambut oleh Ramzi.. Menu hidangan yang disediakan menarik perhatian kami.. Merujuk pada menu hidangan tersebut memang benar seperti yang telah diperkatakan ramai bahawa restoran ini menyajikan hidangan pada kadar yang pada saya, amat berpatutan..

Walaupun restoran ini menawarkan menu yang agak terhad, tetapi di dalam keterhadan tersebut bolehlah dikatakan bahawa pemilik restoran tesebut amat mengutamakan kepuasan para pelanggan adalah terjamin..

Sebagai percubaan kami memilih untuk mencuba Nasi Lemak Special dan Ikan Bakar yang mereka tawarkan..

Ulasan bagi Nasi Lemak Special:

Susun atur nasi lemak tersebut agak menarik di atas piring hijau yang tidak kurang menariknya..

Rasa? Dari aspek rasa, saya mempunyai pendapat tersendiri dan saya akui bahawa pendapat saya ini pun agak berbelah bahagi..

Nasi lemaknya sungguh enak.. Ia terasa tidak terlalu lemak.. Baik bagi mereka yang mementingkan kesihatan mereka..

Ayam goreng yang lazat dengan potongan yang sederhana.. Amat berbaloi dengan harga yang dikenakan kepada para pelangan..

Akan tetapi saya agak kurang mengemari daging yang disediakan.. Ia agak terlalu berempah.. "its too spicy".. Mungkin sesuatu boleh dilakukan oleh pemilik restoran tersebut bagi aspek ini..

Ulasan bagi Ikan bakar:
Ikan bakar tersebut datang di dalam foil.. Saya tidak perlu mengulas lebih panjang mengenai ikan bakar kerana saya pasti ia dapat diungkapkan dengan satu perkataan iaitu: "NYAMAN!!"

Secara keseluruhannya bolehlah saya katakan pengalaman makan di restoran tersebut merupakan satu pengalaman yang baik.. Mengapa? Hanya di restoran ini anda dapat menikmati makanan sedap pada kadar yang amat murah.. Sungguh berbaloi!!

Besar kemungkinan saya akan berkunjung lagi ke restoran tersebut dalam masa yang terdekat ini..

Sering kali kelihatan guru ugama yang bagaikan mempunyai dua personaliti berbeza.. Personaliti ketika bekerja dan di luar waktu bekerja adalah berbeza.. Inilah yang harus ditakuti ramai..

Satu inisiatif yang baik dilakukan oleh kerajaan Scotland demi mengurangkan jumlah perokok di negara tersebut.. Akan tetapi, tindakan ini juga menyebabkan penggunaan wang rakyat dan rezaf negara.. Seharusnya ia digunakan bagi sesuatu yang lebih berfaedah lagi produktif..

Semoga kerajaan negara kita tidak perlu mengunakan kaedah yang sama dalam mengurangkan kadar perokok di negara ini.. Selaku masyarakat, inisiatif untuk berhenti merokok seharusnya dilakukan secara individu.. Jangan biarkan negara menangung kesulitan daripada apa jua tindakan awda..

Suatu langkah bijak untuk menyemai semangat keusahawanan di dalam diri pelajar.. Di harapkan program ini akan terus diadakan dan dapat menukar persepsi para pelajar, yang secara majoritinya ingin memiliki kehidupan yang selesa dengan bekerja dengan pihak kerajaan semata-mata..

Berniagalah kerana ia dapat membantu negara dalam mengurangkan kadar penganguran di negara ini.. Sekaligus secara tidak langsung, awda juga menyumbang kepada pendapatan negara.. Tahniah!!

Urm, tadi wa tym lecture aku tu kboringan sangat.. Rasa ngantuk kn tidur ada jua.. Then ku tuleh ke kiri, ku tuleh ke kanan.. Tau apa ku liat? Ramai wa urang tidur ah.. Napa ya kn tu ah? Asal saja lecture atu be-ampaian wa urang.. Btiduran wa durang ani.. Hahaha..

Kan diucap mliat Euro inda jua patut durang ani.. Nada wa usul fanatik bula.. Hahaha.. Bdating kali durang di malam.. Kahkahkah.. Skatinya wa aku ah..

Si Hanna tidur wa.. Nyaman tidurnya.. Lalah ya pakah lapas lunch atu.. Kmarin durang lunch di Mamih.. Nada wa durang bawa aku.. Keta inda muat.. :p

Babe, maju bisness? Sampai lalah ah..

Boh ani baru ya raja tidur ni sorang ah.. Almost setiap lecture ya tidur ni.. Tapi kpalanya angguk-angguk saja ni.. Mcm si banar wa.. Herannya, kalau kana tanya soalan atu tejawab bh ya.. Sakit jua hati i tu.. Kahkahkah..

Dui cian jua si Qmah ani.. Ani kes lalah brabis ni eyh.. Kiyut tidurnya.. 1st time ku liat ia ngampai brabis.. Ehehehe.. Macam senyum jua ya tym tidur atu.. Kana panah uleh malaikat cinta kali ya.. Mimpi kan kawin kali ni.. :p

The foods we ordered.. Taste okay but service wise, i do not like it.. She is so biatch!!
