Summertime Art by FAAP on Etsy

Wuf wuf from me, Charcoal

Summer has arrived
in Middle Tennessee

The fireflies,
or lightening bugs,
 as we call them,
are blinking their green lights...

Tree frogs are everywhere
and I don't see how something
so small can be so loud.
(Bark, bark, bark)

We have had our
second frog visitor
in the house for the season!

He thought he had found the Beach!!

He was a pretty green!

Mommie is comfortable or cold,
and I am hassling
to beat the drum!
She felt sorry for me
and turned on the
air conditioner before June.
90° days are warmish...

Pink Stuff

1 can Cherry Pie Filling
1 LG can Crushed Pineapple, drained well (drink the juice!)
2 or 3 bananas, sliced--ripper ones taste better! (Mash if you are going to freeze it)
Regular size Tub of Cool Whip, thawed
2 large hand fulls of mini marshmallows

Pinch of Salt

Mix well.
Chill and Enjoy

This can be frozen, but it is better to make it with strawberries or cranberries...I don't know why...lol

FAAP MARKETPLACE

It is a lazy day in Middle Tennessee

so I thought I would
catch you up on what is happening
with the
FAAP TEAM on Etsy.

And Oh,
YAY Nashville Predators!!

This last week,
we focused on updating the

FAAP MARKETPLACE
on Facebook.

We realize that many of our customers don't shop on etsy, and we want to keep YOU updated as to what we are creating, with the hope you will become comfortable shopping on etsy.

* * * * * *

That brings up a new feature on etsy. You can now SHOP without having to join etsy. They have created a GUEST CHECKOUT. We are pretty excited about this, so keep it in mind.
* * * * * *

FAAP MARKETPLACE was created as another tool to help our team to connect to our customers and friends.

We have had a few auctions, but it has never been a great success, but we haven't given up. We are always trying to improve what we do!

We spent this last week doing some house cleaning and updating.

When you enter FAAP MARKETPLACE, you will notice it is like any other page--lots to see!

What makes FAAP MARKETPLACE unique is that each member of FAAP has the opportunity to add an album of their creations. This way, if you have a favorite artist, and we KNOW you do, you can easily find their album to see what they have created!

We are going to try to do better, so join us, and visit often! We love to create.

The FAAP MARKETPLACE is a group page. Search it on facebook, and ask to join. We would love to have you.

I picked out just a few of my favorite things from FAAP MARKETPLACE, to get your attention! I'm including the Etsy shop links, too, so you can go visit these shops...just click on the blue to MAGICALLY appear!

We WUF your support and encouragement...

Thank you!! Wuf wuf...

HASH BROWN Casserole

Makes a 9×13″ pan of potatoes, about 10 to 12 servings

2 lbs. frozen hash browns, thawed
1/2 cup butter, melted and divided
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped onion or green onion
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 pint (2 cups) sour cream (regular or light)
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
2 cups crushed corn flakes, optional
1/4 cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray a 9×13″ pan or baking dish; set aside.

In a large bowl, combine thawed hash browns with 1/2 cup of the melted butter, pepper, salt, and chopped onion, blending well. Add in the soup and sour cream, then the cheddar cheese, mixing everything well. Spread mixture evenly into a 9×13″ baking dish. Mix 1/4 cup melted butter and the crushed corn flakes together and sprinkle over top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 50 to 60 minutes. Serve hot.

Those who know me, know I do not follow a recipe. This is what I did differently:

1. I  bake in 2 aluminum foil containers and freeze one for later. (The square ones--8 inches??)

2.  I usually do not use that much butter. The most I use is half a stick.

3. I don't always use cream of chicken. This last time I used cream of mushroom. Cream of Celery is also good for a twist.

4. I  didn't use onions so Charcoal could enjoy it, but I do love it with Vidalia onions.

5. I don't use that much sour cream, either--lol I probably used 6 ounces.

6. I don't always put the corn flakes on top!

7. Sometimes, I have noticed that the potatoes don't seem cooked enough, so I most always cover it tightly and baked covered for 45 minutes, remove the foil and bake until brown, approximately 15 minutes.

8. I stir everything together while the hash browns are frozen, so they don't get mushy!

9. Hmmmm... I really didn't come close to this recipe, but in all fairness, I have made this for over 25 years, and I just put what I have  and/or like.

I always suggest following directions the first time. It is wonderful by the directions.

Note: This is like Cracker Barrels Hash Brown Casserole
I am pretty sure, they do not put the corn flakes on top.

Fruit cake-yay or nay

Wuf wuf, my peeps!
Charcoal here.
How are you doing?
My Mommie is busy,
and I am not getting enough
lap time.

One of Mommies team members asked a WUF-Y
question on her fb page--
fruit cake--yay or nay!

Weeeellll...
she might as well have asked-
Coke or Pepsi

We all know the answer is
Dr. Pepper...
wuf is me.

You might be surprised to know that
I am adopted.

The night she brought me to my new home from Kentucky, she had a Dr. Pepper that she would not share with me.
I wasn't sure about this woman, yet.
So, after trying all the way to my new home to get a wittle dwink, she took me and IT into the house. She put the Dr. Pepper down.
Well, I am a smart pup, sooooooo I knocked it off and got me a nice drink...and I cleaned her floor, too!

My Mommie tells me that my Grandmommie LOVED fruit cake, and she made fruit cake cookies most every year...I thought I would share a recipe for you...cause I WUF YOU.

I just want to remind everyone that this time of year is tough on many people.  It has one of the highest suicide rates of any season.

I see my mommie crying cause she misses her family,
but don't tell her I told you.

She isn't alone, because the holidays bring tears for many.
Show compassion for those that are alone.
Those that are caretakers.
Those that are struggling--many times, you will NEVER know they are having a tough time.

People GIVE at this time of year, but don't forget that HELP is needed all during the 12 months of the year.

If you see a need, HELP.

So, let's just take a few minutes to see some of our
Folk Art and Primitives and More Team members.

Darla is another team leader, but she is tuckered out, and has her shop on vacation...lol
I will catch her later!!

Here is my Grandmother's favorite pie that she would make for company.  She would put it in the oven as they sat down to eat and it would be hot by the time for dessert!
This Fudge Pie is crustless and you will WUF it.

AND I am pretty sure that WOMEN started the idea that dogs can't have chocolate, so they don't have to share....wuf, is me...SO, here is my Mommie's favorite Pie.

ME?  I am just going to have some
EXTRA FRIES!

Remember to have Compassion this Holiday Season:
Don't huff and puff at the cashiers
Don't join in with other customers to complain about them, either.
Remember, that EVERYONE is doing the best they can.
Don't take those annoying deep breaths when someone in front of you is going too slow for you.
Don't Judge the homeless or those scruffy-looking people.  You have no idea of the heartaches they may face.
Be thankful for what you have, cause it could all be taken away in a split second.
Spread LOVE, JOY, CHEER...
Embrace the meaning of GIVING for this season and spread it past December.

Oh, leave a comment and tell us if you like fruit cake! It will be fun to see!

Merry Christmas...I WUF YOU!♡
