Monday 030110

Mount Washington lottery opens today.  I have been pretty certain that I would do this, but I have had second thoughts … I’d love to do it, but it is a bit of a challenge to get there, etc – and there are a couple of other good races here that weekend.  If we can drum up a Masters team, I am in … otherwise I am on the fence.

AM – five easy plus time with TZ, LH - easy.  Snowed again.  I appreciate the free water in this state, but I am ready for some heat, bareback runs on a high ridge.  Calf was still a bit tender – probably a bit of overdoing it a tad last night.

PM – calf tight, but bearable.  Easy ten.  Funny – I am just floating these runs.  The rest of my body wants to go, go, go but because of the “flat tire” of the left calf, I am holding back quite a bit.  Gorgeous day.

  1. I hear you on the desire for sun and warmth. Yesterday, running at White Ranch, I slipped and fell in really awful mud, right in front of two other runners. The first thing out of my mouth as I got to my feet and ran off..."I can't WAIT for summer!"
