This week has been a week of challenges for many. Even when times are uncertain and unsure, God is in control. I left home Tuesday morning before work to get gas...no gas. No problem I thought. Thinking I'd be able to get some that afternoon, I went to three different stations, but no gas.
Fortunately we had five gallons in the gas can that was fresh and o.k. to use. I was now up to 1/4 tank. By Friday, I was down to less than an 1/8 of a tank, still no gas to be found. According to the media, shipments were coming in. A very kind lady in the grocery store shared with us about a station where she and her husband had gotten gas. We were on our way.
While headed to that station, we came across another station that had gas, but had a fairly long line, but we decided to stop. Tony and I sat in line for about 40 minutes Saturday while police officers monitored the station. We felt blessed.
When you feel you have absolutely no control over a situation, whether it be gas, your job, your children, your marriage or finances, turn it over to God. He provides.
Philippians 4:6 -7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
