I was so excited when I went to the voting precinct this afternoon and there was no line! For a few days, I was actually feeling a bit guilty for not voting early. It never worked out for me to go with so many other irons in the fire. Now I'm glad it didn't.
We are so blessed to be able to vote! What a privilege to be able to walk in, mark your ballot for the person you want to lead your country, state and other offices. Whether your candidate of choice wins or not, we should count it not only as a right, but a freedom and blessing.
My good friend Betsy and I were talking today about this heated presidential election and how bent out of shape people tend to get over who is going to win. Ultimately God is in control. We should all be praying for the one that is elected. I love the following scriptures. Pray that whatever candidate is elected, that he will pray for God to lead him in his plans for this country.
Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.
Proverbs 16:9 In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.
