My Husband...

I was tagged by my friend Ky to do a "husband tag". This tag couldn't have come at a better time... I need blogging material. I was also tagged by Leah F. but I'm saving that tag because I am in a rut so I will do that one in a couple of days.

This is Aric, my husband.
5  things Aric loves to do...
1.   Play PS2 Football. We have strict rules about his playing so it doesn't happen as often as he would like.
2.   Play football with his friends even when it's like 10 degrees outside. In fact he is playing right now, at least it's indoors tonight.

3.   Watch football...NFL, arena,college, high school...
4.   Go to concerts. We both love to do this, if only we had the same taste in music.
5.   Go out on dates with me.

5  things on his "to do" list...
Aric doesn't have a "to do" list for himself, but I have one for him.
1.   Hang up Christmas lights.
2.   Clean the master bathroom.
3.   Bring his clean shirts up from the laundry room and hang them nicely in the closet.
4.   Clean up his desk.
5.   Finish cleaning up the garage...it's almost done!

5  of his favorite foods...
1.   Spaghetti, but the girls and I don't like it so he makes it for himself.
2.   Steak....medium please.
3.   Crem Brule...another thing I don't make, thank heaven's we have a friend that does. (Ashley)
4.   Cocoa Puffs.
5.   BBQ Ribs. He got the secret recipe from my step dad, Joe, and then he and his buddy, Mike, have perfected the cooking process.

5 things people don't know about him...
1.   He knows every stat, on every player, in every sport. It's pretty amazing.
2.   He likes to create recipes. He makes a mean tomato soup.
3.   He has an addiction to neck ties.
4.   He has a collection of silly t-shirts that is worthy of its own post.
5.   Mullets make him laugh...especially little kid mullets.

5 things he doesn't like....
1.   When people say they are going to do something then don't follow through.
2.   Cleaning bathrooms...basically any household chore.
3.   Putting up Christmas lights. Heights.
4.   When men get hair plugs.
5.   the Indigo Girls music...it brings out the worst in him.

So there you have it. I changed the format a little to make sure I highlighted who Aric really is.

Jessica in Real Life

So I got tagged by my blog friend Mahina to do 10 pics of what my life is like right now...

The rules are as follows...You must take ten pictures of the following things right away without straightening or cleaning. And then tag five other lucky souls.

Totally scary! But here it goes...

1. The fridge. For some reason it doesn't look that bad, or maybe it does...depends on if you like mystery containers and limp lettuce that you can't see. Actually if you look closely you can see my famous green bags from my HSN post.

2. The closet. Umm... Aric's office is in our closet because I'd rather loose closet space than a whole room. Don't even feel bad for him, he has a window for crying out loud! The only bad part is that I have to rotate my clothes and shoes out every season. I store them under my bed in storage bins.

3. The kitchen sink. I totally took this picture right away because I knew it didn't look too bad.

4. The toilet. It's usually clean, but only because I have girls and the only boy in this house does not want to face the serious consequences of peeing all over my seats.

5. Favorite shoes. These are my new shoes. I just got them for my friends wedding. I have been looking for months for the perfect white patent leather summer heels and I finally found them! Thank you Macy's shoe lady who let me in on the secret that they would 25 bucks cheaper if I bought them the next day!

6. Favorite Room. So I kinda broke the rules on this one. I had to make the costumes for Eden's recital and they had consumed my front room and kitchen. Once I bagged them and gave them to the girls I took another picture. I love this room because it's the first thing people see when they walk into my home and it represents us well. The colors, the art, the decorations...It is also usually the cleanest room in my house. That's really why it's my favorite.

7. What my kids are doing right now. Playing in the basement with Barbies, I'm not sure why...they haven't played with them for months. But they are getting along and that is all that really matters.

8. Laundry. Here it is. As real as it gets.

9. Self-Portrait. Me talking on the phone to Amy. I'm only dressed semi-nice because I went to the temple. I am not good at taking self-portraits...so cheesy.

10. Dream Vacation. Any vacation with Aric, without kids, is a dream vacation. This was our most recent, we went to Maui and it was FABULOUS!!!!!

So there you have it. And now I tag...drum roll please...Jessica, Amy, Liz (calibosmom) , Meghann, and Penny. You're it!

Eden's Tag

My friend Kara Barnett tagged me to do six things about Eden. So here it goes.

1. Eden sings. She makes up words if she doesn't know the song. She will sing/talk like "do I have to go to bed?" or "what is for dinner?" She is a good singer and beats all of us at High School Musical Sing Star. Even though she doesn't know the words she hums in perfect pitch. The funniest thing ever is to listen to Eden sing while she is listening to her MP3 player. (By the way, this song that is playing, read my mind by the Killers is one of her favorite songs)

2. Eden's favorite foods are quesadillas and yogurt. She also loves to eat at Subway, she prefers it over McDonalds. For some reason she thinks McDonalds is "germy".

3. Eden isn't afraid of much, except for animals, bugs and especially worms.

4. Eden has her finger on the pulse of fashion...four year old fashion that is. Her outfits totally reflect her personality.

5. Eden has to snuggle with me every morning, in my bed, before she starts her day. So that means if I am up and going before she is, I have to climb back into bed and snuggle her for a few minutes. The funny thing is she comes in with her eyes almost closed, pretending like she is sleep walking.

6. Eden is the funniest kid. She makes up knock-knock jokes. She talks with her hands and her hips. She thinks she is a teenager. Her famous phrase is "Just to tell ya...."

(I took these pictures earlier today, after Eden went to her friend, Jane's, princess birthday party. As we pulled into the garage Eden saw her umbrella and wanted to show me how princesses walk in the rain. People were driving by and waving at her. I had to document these moments, they were just too precious.)

TAG...I'm it!

My friend Kara P, not to be confused with Kara B, or Kara LB tagged me. So here are SIX Things You Probably Don't Know About Me....This is tricky because I'm pretty open about everything and I don't know how to stop talking so my life is an open book. Anyway here it goes...

1. I want to learn how to play the cello. I have always loved the sound and I would have taken it instead of the stupid clarinet when I was in junior high but the clarinet case was way cuter and smaller than the cello case. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Now I have to pay lots of money and find time in my crazy life to take lessons as a grown up.

2. I want to be on a game show so bad...mainly because I'm cocky enough to think I could win. Not the likes of Jeopardy mind you, that is way to intelligent for me. I'm talking, Deal or No Deal, the Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune or Family Feud.

3. I could eat my weight in Hostess cupcakes in a heartbeat if I knew that I wouldn't gain twice my weight by indulging myself. I know it is so wrong but they taste so right! When I have a weak moment and eat one, I eat it very slowly with baby bites savoring every little chocolatey morsel. And never, ever bother with the 100 calorie packs...not even close to the real thing!

4. I hate feet. So to Jessica R. with the foot post...that was difficult for me to read. Luckily I love you so much I can overlook your crazy witch toes. I think my feet are okay as far as feet go and I love baby feet. I think dirty little kid feet that have been in shoes without socks are gross and don't get me started on man feet!EWWW!

5. I hate public restrooms. My germaphobia kicks into high gear at the sound of "Mommy I have to go potty reeaally bad and I can't hold it" My kids know that whenever it is possible to hold it, they need to hold it, because I seriously hate going into one of those germy places. I have to plug my nose and I try not to breathe when I enter one. I hate it when you have to peek to see if one is available. I hate it when someone doesn't flush or the toilet doesn't flush right...so gross! I hate the smell of the cheap soap and I hate it when there is no toilet paper and you have to have your 4 year old get some from another stall...Yikes! We always use seat covers and flush with our feet. I do have to say the Target in Coeur D' Alene and the Macy's in the valley mall are the cleanest public restrooms I've ever been too. Oh and don't even get me started on rest areas, I'd rather go on the side of the road. Too much information...sorry!

6. If I had unlimited money and no morals I would totally be a band groupee for the likes of Dave Matthews, Moroon 5, Guster, Jack Johnson and Oasis...just to name a few. I love live music. Aric and I try to go to at least one concert a year. Now that we have responsibilities like kids and a job we can't go as often as we used to.

Now I'm adding one more just for the fun of it....
7. I have a tatoo...I really do. I got it when I was 21, before everyone started getting them and we were counseled not to. I couldn't find a tatoo place in Provo, UT (go figure) so I had to go up to Salt Lake, where I found a tiny little scary place that did it for me.
So...is the tatoo..
A. a red heart with a black arrow through it on my right hip. B. a black celtic knot on my left shoulder C. two light green dragonflies on my lower back or D. a dolphin on my left ankle.

So there you have it. My six+ one extra things. So now I'm supposed to tag six people and since I'm not as nice as Ilene I am totally tagging...Amy S, Ashley H, Penny R, Lindsey W, Bonnie P and Kara Barnett. Tag...you're it!
