Mix Media trinket box

Hi Friends,
Last month I shopped..shopped..and literally till I dropped and was all bankrupt..(We crafters have hard time keeping that control...Don't we all agree!! :) )
And among them was something I long wanted to have..Lindy's stamp gang sprays!!..and yes I finally laid my hands on couple of them..And along came Smooch Spritz (must say don't go by their size..that small glass test tube has lots of color and shimmer in it...)
So here is my first mix media ..

(MFT damask stencil and homemade texture paste)

(Getting together all the embellishments)

(Applied gesso to the entire surface)

(Smooch Spritz @work)

(Lindy's Starburst tibetan poppy Teal..love that shimmer)

Dylusions stencils..

Pattern paper and acrylic paint..

The complete trinket box..

Hope you like take at mix media...would love to hear from you :)

memories...

HI all,
Hope you are enjoying the wedding season...
Its always been Quilling which i do the most but recently i tried my hands on Textures.
Have seen some wonderful projects using modelling paste, gesso, stencils etc etc...

So i was too tempted to try my hands on this ...
And coincidentally had my cousin's Silver jubilee coming up so thought why not create a layout...

So i took a canvas stretched on a wooden frame, used Texture white and created some circular patterns with Comb.Love the way the circles turned out..
Wanted to make it colourful so took up my distress inks ( i m totally in love with these!! :P)

I always wanted to create something with photographs...so asked my nephew to get me there wedding pics(the day the journey started)...what could be better for remembering 25 wonderful years of happy wedded life..
And as i said i have been doing quilling , quilling n quilling...my family loves when i add quilling to there gifts...so it had to be the paper strips again..
So here is my simple no fuss layout..
Hoping you all would like this..and especially my brother loves his surprise :)
