Sleeping Baby!

Lyla is 8 weeks old today and has SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT the past two nights in a ROW! Yay Lyla!! Last night she went to bed at 8pm and I had to WAKE HER UP at 8:15 this morning so she could be fed and changed in time to take Brodey to school. It feels strange to be so well rested.

More Pumpkin Carving pictures...

I was disappointed that I didn't get a picture of Maddy and Lyla from Pumpkin Carving night... Lucky for me Clint and Kristin got one so I stole it from their Blog! (sorry guys)
Here they are snuggling in the crib while we ate dinner...
(Lyla on the left)
And a picture of our finished products.. (again, stolen)
From the left, Noah's Ark by Clint, Mountain Dew by David, face by Derek, and the Christmas Tree made by me in honor of Brock. Jeff didn't finish his because he broke the chair he was sitting in and was to ashamed to return to the kitchen. ;)

Pumpkin Carving!

Monday night the boys got to try out their Halloween costumes for our annual pumpkin carving with the Gann's. Brodey.. of course is Buzz Lightyear. Brock decided he wanted to be a Christmas tree. He thought that one up on his own. Silly silly boy.

Aunt Lyndsay got him some battery operated Christmas lights to add to his walking tree for Friday night. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Picture Day update

Not as bad as originally feared.

Brock - Mr. Smarty Pants

There is a Ross store in the same parking lot as our most favorite destination (Target). We walked over there the other day in the stroller and Brock asked where we were going.. "Ross" I told him. His reply, "This is not Ross mommy... this is the blue store with the R. the O. and the two S's." Silly me.

He has Jeff and I figured out. If Jeff is putting him to be he'll say "But daddy... I want you to watch football wif me." Works every time. If I'm putting him to bed he'll say "But mommy, I want you to way down in my bed and snuggle wif me." I don't know anyone who could turn that down. He figured out how to manipulate us on his own... smart boy.

2 years old is fun. I wish I could keep him two years old forever.

Lyla's baby friends

The boys are always asking when we are going to see "Wywa's baby friends"... she has a bunch!
We tried to get some pictures at the pumpkin patch.. not easy considering NONE of them can sit up alone yet! Maddy is the oldest at 3 months... Lyla is the youngest at 6 weeks, so they are all pretty close!

I'm not sure how Luke feels about Lyla trying to snuggle himLuke and his mommy

Birthday weekend part 4

Last part of the birthday series. Last night we had a few friends over for cake and ice cream... I missed getting a picture of him blowing out his candles on Sunday.. and apparently every year until this year.

Mama Gann and LylaWe got Brodey the Fisher Price Kid Tough camera since he likes taking pictures so much. I think it's only like 2 mega pixels or something.. but it's fun anyway. Here are a few he took...
Mr. Clint and Zurg
Ms. Kristin
Brock, the unwilling subject
Buzz, Woody and Jessie

The Ninja Turtles
Self portrait

me doing some window cleaning.
Me driving.
He really likes the camera... he took 73 pictures... these are just the highlights. It feels a little bit like living with the paparazzi.

Past birthdays...
turning two:
and turning 3:

Birthday weekend part 3

Monday, his actual birthday, we gave him our gifts... this was his favorite, Zurg. Buzz Lightyear's enemy. He opened this one and told Brock he could have the rest of his presents.. Zurg was all he wanted. Had I known that I would have saved a lot of money!
Lyla-beans.. 6 weeks old already.
Other fun birthday facts... for lunch he chose to have a corn dog and cereal. For snack he requested "chicken". This is not how we normally do things.. but we went with it since it was his birthday.

Birthday weekend part 2

We celebrated Brodey's birthday with the family at Chuck E. Cheese on Sunday. Chuck E. Cheese, as usual, was an overwhelming place to be on a weekend! Brodey had a great time though and got lots of cool presents. He was especially excited about this HUGE and LOUD remote control tractor trailer truck from Aunt Lyndsay and Uncle Travis.
We had fun packing as many people as we could into the photo booth... three adults and Brock and none of us saw the "Look Here!" sign with big arrow.
So we tried again... That's the side of Brock's head, Uncle Myles, Kali and me.

Me and Brock

I wish we would have gotten one with the birthday boy... but after he opened his presents he wouldn't leave the table and his new Ninja Turtles.
Here's one of me and Brodey from his birthday last year... again, UN-believable how much he has changed in one year.

Pumpkin Patch

This morning we went up to Burt's Farm in Dawsonville... it was perfect fall weather for a day at the pumpkin patch.
Still trying to get a good picture of our three together. Not sure why we picked Brock to hold Lyla in this one... shortly after the picture was taken she definitely took a little spill in the mulch.

She slept the whole time we were there... didn't open her eyes even once.. not even in the mulch incident.

Turns out Brock is not much a fan of tractors. I had to post this one of him screaming because he made a similar face last year at the pumpkin patch.

Brodey took this one of me, Brock and Lyla. He loves cameras.

Brothers.

Here are a few from last year... I can NOT BELIEVE how much they have grown and changed in just ONE YEAR. Brock wasn't even walking yet this time last year!

Birthday weekend part 1

In 3 days my boy will be 4 years old. We started the celebration today at Preschool. Brock, Lyla and I joined Brodey's class for snack time... we brought store bought frosted cookies. I know, I know, I'm a loser for not making him something but his teacher requested NO CUPCAKES and that's all I know how to make! Plus, I already have two cakes to make for him for the rest of his birthday "weekend". (I celebrate my birthdays for a whole weekend too.) :)
It was fun seeing him in class... his teachers are FANTASTIC. Brock got to sit at the big table next to Brodey and he thought that was great. Lyla enjoyed her seat surrounded by all her pink... do you think she'll ever be mistaken for a boy???

Not much new

Don't you just want to squeeze them???

Brock told me he painted a shark... it was so funny I wanted him to say it again.. but then he would only repeat what I was saying.

Brodey had picture day at school today.

Me: "Brodey.. let me see how you smiled for your picture."

Brodey: "I have lots of smiles. This is the one I did for my picture..."

See photo.

Can't wait to get those back.
