I can't believe this little face is already done with Kindergarten.
Graduation was awesome. They sang, they did a memory verse, they sang in Spanish and then they march across the stage and received their diplomas. So adorable.
Brodey and his teacher, Mrs. Lashley
Look how proud he is! My little graduate.
After the ceremony we had a little reception. I love this school. So sad this was Brodey's last year.
Mother's Day was super fun this year.. especially since I got to go to TWO lunches with my two favorite sons! :) Brodey's was first...
I had to wear a dress... but HE unfortunately choose (and insisted on) wearing a skull tshirt with ratty old jeans. The other kids were wearing ties and dresses. Of course he didn't care and I love him anyway :).
The next day was Brock's mother's day lunch.. he was so excited!
I had such a fun time with my boys... lucky lucky am I to have TWO wonderful sons!
Brodey and Brock's Easter parties fell on the same day AGAIN, so I don't have many pictures to show. It was a little crazy running back and forth between their classrooms with the girls in tow.
Brock man was super excited to see us..
Brodey too..
Brodey scarfed down several cookies and cupcakes while I was in Brock's room.. so of course his tummy started hurting. We ran out of there so fast (for fear of vomit) that I almost forgot Lyla! (not the first time) Another mom (also with four kids) was kind enough to get Beans cookies together and send her after us. Whew!
Look at those sweet girls getting ready to hang out at school.
The girls and I ran through Brodey's class real fast and waved, then ran down to Brock's class just in time for the feast (their parties were at the same time AGAIN).
After the feast and handing out teacher gifts we all (Brock too) ran down to Brodey's class for the rest of his party. I only got one picture once we got in there because I was trying to keep up with all my stuff, all their stuff, and all those kids! (Both of Brock's teachers came in separately with things I had forgotten in Brock's class.... arrrggg. Can't take me anywhere) ;)
I'm very thankful for the very helpful teachers and parents in both their classes. (side note.. at least FIVE of the families in Brodey's class... out of 15... have four kids! So I was in good company with my traveling circus.)
Brodey's school put on a FANTASTIC Christmas program this year (and every year). The 4 and 5 year old classes sang several songs and the the Kindergarten class came out and acted out the story of Jesus' birth. Brodey was a wise man and did a wonderful job. And he was sooooooo adorable on stage. ;)
We got there early so we would get great seats. And had a few extra minutes so we took a few pictures in front of huge tree in the foyer.
Lucy loooooved the program and didn't make a sound for the whole thing. All the kids did really watching and being quiet.. it was amazing! Lyla was hilarious. When the younger kids where filing on the stage she yelled out "there's Cooper! I see him!" (Cooper was not on stage... he was actually sitting right next to her). A few seconds later she yelled out.. "Look! There's Lyla!"... She obviously wasn't on stage, and we don't know any other Lylas.. so I'm not sure what that was all about.
Brodey's little class is so cute.
Adorable little wise man
After the program we had refreshments in his class and got to tell him what a good job he did.
Brodey's class did a little play this year.. He was an Indian. It was awesome! He makes such a cute little Indian. After the performance we had a FEAST! We got to sit together as a family at a big round table with little things on it that Brodey had made. Jeff was able to make it... which was nice since Brock's Thanksgiving party was also that day at the very same time. We got quite the workout running back and forth with the girls!
After 2 years of going to Brodey's preschool parties Brocky was sooo excited to have a party with his little friends. It was fun to meet the other parents... one mom told me her little girl says every morning when she's dropping her off "I get to see Brock today!". Ha! Little ladies man.
After Brock's feast they sang a song, did a science experiment and a craft.
Kindergarten. I can't hardly believe it. Luckily we were able to keep Brodey at the school he's been going to for preschool, so the transition hasn't really been too hard. It's only half day.. which I LOOOOVEEE. Brodey, of course, thinks it's fantastic and has been counting down the days until school starts for weeks. Should I be worried about how excited our kids get about spending hours and hours away from me?? Anyhow... here's how the day went.. in pictures...
He measured 3 ft 10 inches on his first day of KG
Brock absolutely could not believe we wouldn't let him hold Lucy for the picture. While sitting on brick steps. Over concrete. Sorry Brock.
At meet and greet Brodey's teacher invited them all to bring their favorite teddy bear on the first day of school. Brodey woke up EXTRA early to stuff his big bear in his bag. ("Big Bear" is his name)
He moved his name under "yes", then sat down at the table in front of his name.. and we left. No tears. Just big smiles. We have a kindergartner.
