New Year's Eve!

Seeing as how I am pregnant and have great difficulty staying awake past 10pm, we decided to stay in this New Year's Eve and have a fun night with our kids.
We ate spaghetti, played Candy Land and Shoots and Ladders and made a giant pile of pillows on the living room floor for movie watching. We also had a 7 up toast when we brought in the New Year at midnight... errr, 9pm.
Brodey said several times, "this is the best night ever!" and even the next morning before Jeff and I got up I could hear him and Brock sitting on the couch whispering about how much fun they had playing games and watching movies in a pile with us. So cute. So glad we stayed in.

Fun days between Christmas and New Year

Jeff was home with us for most of the week between Christmas and New Year and we had so much fun hanging out and getting things done around the house.
Here's Brock having a "tea party" with Lyla's new tea set ... the penguin and the race car were his guests. He couldn't believe I was taking his picture.. hence the hand blocking his face. I would have videoed the HILARIOUS conversation he was having with this penguin and race car, but he covered his face every time I brought out the camera.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning started way early in our house. Santa was very good to the boys... they got a Wii! Turns out Santa could have spent $3.99 on bakugan key chains and they would have been just as happy. Oh well!

My favorite gift, this angel Brodey made...
Lyla was very excited about her "twins"
so excited she hugged the box
then continued to hug the rest of her gifts.
all of those pretty girl things and this was her favorite...
she climbed in and out of this thing all morning begging anyone to push her in it.
Here's Lyndsay helping Lyla open a gift later in the day...
And uncle Myles, doing who knows what
Jeff bought big grandpa this Alabama t-shirt.. and then put it on him. Jeff thinks deep down big grandpa really loves his new shirt.
Coop wasn't feeling so hot on Christmas... but still managed to get in some good playing time with his cousins.
And Brock was just plain tuckered out. He fell asleep like this... not sure what the head phones were all about.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was very relaxing this year. We spent the day hanging out with an old friend of Jeff's, went to Church, came home and ate a yummy pot roast and then watched a movie with the kids. Fun!
Here's Lyla helping clean up after dinner...
Brock.. shaking presents. Stinker.

After dinner the kids each opened one present...

Matching Jammies!! Always so fun to get a photo of all three...

Preschool Christmas Party

Preschool Christmas party... always fun. This one was even more exciting because Daddy got to come! That's him in the upper right hand corner with Brock hanging on his leg.
It was raining (pouring rain) this day.. always fun when you are trying to get two kids, one stroller, two teacher gifts and a diaper bag into a building without cussing at someone. Which I probably did. Never have I been more happy to see Jeff when we got there!

Preschool Christmas Program

Lyla, patiently waiting for the show to start
My little angel: top row, second from left. He was so far back I had to take his picture every time his little face came on the big screen.
Sitting with the girls. Doesn't he look excited???! He did really well singing, but we could tell he was concerned that he couldn't see us out in the audience.

To clear up the confusion I marched myself right down to the front and yelled his name right in the middle of the program... he was very happy to see me!
After the program we went back to Brodey's classroom for "refreshments". Brock, of course, had to sit at the table with Brodey.
