Reading

I have always loved to read. When I was growing up, my mom would buy me a book but then she would make me wait to read it until I got home, or it was finished by the evening. She would get so frustrated with me because I finished all my books so quickly. When I was handed Twilight in 2007 I kind of got stuck. I couldn't move away from it. The story became my escape to another world, because mine was too difficult. Now that the movie has snapped me out of it, and the crazed obsession by the book with the general public, I have moved on. I have read 2 really great books over the past 2 weeks, and I was reminded of why I love to read. I just now finished the Time Travelers Wife. I cried! I also read it in 3 days. It is a really good book. There is a lot of language in it and usually that keeps me from finishing, but I finished! I highly recommend it. I have no idea how they will make a movie out of this, but I am interested to find out.
Anyway, kind of random thoughts for today. I have a whole bookshelf of books waiting to be read! I am excited!

I couldn't finish The Time Travelers Wife. I pushed about 2/3's of it but the jumping around and wordiness of it bored me. I am interested in seeing the movie though.

I think the jumping around is what kept me reading! HA! Anyway, I feel like I need to put a disclaimer up that there is a LOT of SEX in this book. Almost too much. I don't actually know why I was able to finish it. I was really curious to see how the story ended. I don't know how this movie is just pg-13.

We were so the same growing up! I LOVED reading as a kid. That's how I survived being in a family of 14! ha ha.
Of course there's a lot of sex in the book! What else do you do when you only get to see the love of your life randomly?! :) I'm sure they edited it in the movie...but then again...PG13 movies are just about rated R these days. :( I'm so excited to read it! It comes out today so I better hurry and read it before I get anxious and just go see the movie. Rachel McAdams is my favorite actress.

The film trailer turned me off from reading the book! Weird! I have a HUGE list on Shelfari to read, and once I get going I fly through them, too. Shawn gets made at me, too!
