Remember When

Our next stop was the Kirtland Temple.  It is not owned by the LDS church anymore (however our church donates money to help keep it up)  It was a nice tour.  But we all talked about how it had a different feel to it.  It is still an impressive building especially when you think of the time it was built.



 Now this is a handsome group of boys.

 This was a fun tour of the area where so much church history took place.  As you can tell we had quite the group.

 Joseph Smith received revelations in this very room.

 This cute sister missionary started a game of follow the leader that continued for a while.  The girls and JJ thought she was fun!

 When she would stop to talk to the group and share stories she was caught off guard a little because they continued to follow her actions.

We stayed in Nauvoo for a few days and the few days got away from us because we waited till the crack of dawn (as we were leaving Nauvoo) to take pictures of the family in front of the temple.




 I was not going to add these two pics but in later pictures you will understand why I did.  Because of it being so early in the morning Katie was not in the mood to take pictures.  I really had to do some "Mom talk" with her to get her to cooperate. 
 Here she is with puffy eyes trying to cooperate but still not wanting to be in pictures.  She took a few and then she was done.

 Here is Jim, John, Judy, and Ken.  Seriously these four were worse than the kids.  Trying to get them to cooperate was crazy.  The belly grabbing and teasing was funny for a while and then FINALLY we got a good picture of them smiling and looking at the camera. (Although the others are just as fun to look at)

 Ok back to Katie!  Maybe it was the jovial mood that the Welburn boys set, but after I had taken their pics I heard Katie's voice calling me.  I turned around and there she was in perfect picture pose.  I laughed and ran over to her and had a little photo op with her. 


 As you can see I took full advantage of this cute little opportunity!
