Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

The 3rd annual Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer party has come and gone. Those were good times! Everyone seemed to have a really good time, and were pretty creative with their cookies. We had a contest to see who could decorate the best cookies. Here are all the finished products:

Some of them were fun, others were pretty tragic with wrecked sleighs and injured reindeer and blizzards. But of course, after the votes were in, Nick's and my cookies were the best!

The grand prize was an antler headband!

We tried to make reindeer faces, but I'm not really sure what that is, so this is the best you get.

After that, we watched the Rudolph movie. I love that show! Overall, I think the 3rd annual Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer party was a success! Thanks to all that came!

Rudolph cookie cutters

I got these 3-D cookie cutters the other day, and I just had to try them out! We are having a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer party this weekend, I'm so excited. I seriously love that movie!

I had a little problem with a couple of them. They broke when I was trying to put them together. As you can see on Hermey (on the far right), his leg broke off. I had to get some glue (cookie dough) and nuke him back together. But he's good as new now!

Twilight

I just finished Twilight last night. So intense! I can't wait to read New Moon...

Which Twilight novel character are you?

You're Bella Swan - You are intelligent and kind but not quite sure what you want out of life yet. You have a feeling there's something more out there for you. You're attracted to those who are real and avoid the fake. Sometimes you're a bit accident prone, but your true friends will always be loyal to you and come to your aid when you need it.

Oh Christmas Tree!

On Saturday, we went to get a Christmas tree for my house. There was a bit more snow than there was last time. I didn't wear my snow pants and I kept falling over and got soaking wet and freezing cold! But it was really fun. Turns out we ended up getting the first tree we looked at.
We decided to decorate in red and gold. Annie has some red sparkly ornaments, so we had to use them, they are really pretty. After we decorated, we had grasshopper shots. Get grasshopper cookies and soak them in hot chocolate, then put them in your mouth and they melt on your tongue. Heaven!

The Grinch

Last friday, Nick and I went to see the Grinch. It was really cute. It reminded me of sixth grade, when I was the grinch in our school Christmas play. Good times! I love Christmas!

My cloned twin sister

Shannah and I have been way good friends ever since I moved to Boise. A friendship that was started only because of Annie. We have had some great times over the years, most of which I probably shouldn't share. :) Anyways, Shannah is moving to Lewiston tomorrow. Why, you may ask? I'll never know. I guess if you want to live in a smelly town, Lewiston is just as good as any. So last night, we played. These pictures are the result.

People always get us confused. I've been called Shannah so many times. I still don't get it. I don't think we look alike at all.

We went shopping, then went to play pool. I was going to get some amazing pool shots, but there was a very important tournament going on, and they asked us not to take pictures during their tournament. Apparently their eyes are too sensitive. They are in a smoky bar playing pool, but complain about the flash from our camera "getting stuck in their eyes". But we found these Christmas decorations at a nearby hotel.

I'm going to miss you Shannah! Thank you for being such an awesome friend. I love you!

Happy Turkey Day!

I had an amazing Thanksgiving! It was my very first holiday away from home, and my mom wasn't very happy about that. But I still got to see my fam, so it was ok. Nick and I went to his parent's house. We went fishing Thursday morning - I caught a cutthroat! - and then we ate and ate and ate. I got to play with his nieces and nephew. They are so cute! Then on Friday we cut down a Christmas tree and roasted hot dogs around the fire.
Friday night we went to Preston with his family to watch the light parade. It was really neat, but it was freezing! One of his nieces really liked me. She told Nick he should keep me because "she is nice, and I want another aunt and another cousin." Yikes!

Saturday morning, we went to see my family. We had a birthday party for Tyler. He really likes Nick. After we left last weekend, he told his mom that he missed Nick. What about Aunt Karalynn? Anyways, here is a picture of my oldest niece, Breanna and me. They grow up so fast!

He thinks my tractor's sexy

Last Saturday, Nick and I got to play with my sister's kids all day. It was so much fun! We went to grandma's house and played in the dirt, then went to the movies to watch Shrek 3, then we went to Arctic Circle for dinner and played some more. It was fun, and I was worn out.

Kool-aid Man

So, I love the Office. I am really addicted to that show. So far this season, my favorite part was when Kevin did his Kool-aid man face:

I had to watch it over and over. Ever since then, we have all been practicing our kool-aid faces. Here are a couple pictures from Halloween of the best kool-aid faces:

Ballroom Dance

So my Dad got my Mom ballroom dance lessons for her birthday. It has turned in to a family event. My parents, my sister and her husband, my brother and his wife, and Nick and I have been taking ballroom dance lessons the past couple weeks. It is so fun! So far we have learned the waltz, polka, cha cha, tango, and something else that I can't remember. We have one more class on Friday, then we will be pros!

I made Nick watch "Shall We Dance" the other day so he would be more excited about it. I don't know if it worked, but I sure do love that movie! I'm ready to enter into a dance competition now!

Halloween

I won a million dollars! For Halloween, Nick and I dressed up as the Publisher's Clearing House. It was a lot of fun and we got a ton of compliments on it. Except we had to carry the check around everywhere so people would know what we were. If we didn't we got funny looks. Good times.

New hobby

So lately I've taken up fishing. I must say, I'm pretty good at it! Here are a couple of fatty fishes I've caught so far:

This is my very first fish I caught!
At Cascade Reservoir, July 2007

Check out this fatty fish! I almost died on this trip. Yikes
At Bear Lake for Nick's birthday, September 2007

Here is my trophy blue gill. I'm not sure what that means, so just go with it.
